Last night, Zae became the first houseguest evicted from Big Brother 27. Rachel made it her mission to get him out. This led to some conflict between them, including a tame but entertaining disagreement. Now the self-proclaimed Big Brother Queen can happily say she has one less enemy in the game.
She also got to keep her ally Amy playing beside her. Zae uses his last moments in the Big Brother house to encourage the other houseguests to keep him so that he could take out Rachel. This isn’t a major development, as others have begun to target her.
Keanu, Vince, Kelley, and a few other Big Brother houseguests have worried that Rachel might become a big threat in the game. They may make a move to get her out if she doesn’t win the current Head of Household competition.
Returning players are often a threat in the Big Brother game, so it’s probably a sensible move to remove her as a piece in this season. Nevertheless, the houseguests may be too focused on her and miss some other threatening players.
It’s really hard to say if getting Rachel out early is the key move this week. Yes, returning players often go far, but Rachel has always been a polarizing figure. Therefore, she may not necessarily have the votes to win in the end.
Additionally, her big battle with Zae has already exposed how much she wants to win again. Out of pure pettiness, the jury may not grant that wish if she is sitting at the end. Plus, we don’t know how Rachel will perform in this season’s Big Brother competitions.
She has done well in the past, but that was 14 seasons ago. It’s not a bad move to remove Rachel, but the house also needs to widen their targets, because some less flashy players may slip in and steal the win.
We often see those players win more than the ones dictating the story as much as Rachel has been doing in Big Brother 27. This also may be why some players want Rachel out.
They don’t want to share the spotlight when this is supposed to be their season. Rachel leaving the game forces the producers to highlight their stories more than Rachel’s.
Wanting her out for some could simply be because there is only room for one star of Big Brother 27. Could this new Head of Household see Rachel in danger or solidify her power in the game?
Do you think the houseguests should focus on evicting Rachel early or on other threats? Let us know in the comments.
