It’s time for the first and hardest Power Rankings of Big Brother 27. It’s the hardest because we’ve only seen two and a half hours of the show so far, and even the Live Feeds are only on Day 5. I think? Math is hard.
But as always, I have a job to do and I’m going to do it! Just don’t drag me too hard for where I rank people. And like every season, I will be looking at all aspects of the game: skill, position, comp prowess and social game. And always removed from the formula is my personal feelings on the players. So let’s get to it.
1. Zach. It pains me to put a bro in first place. But Zach is currently in the best spot. Not only is he the only bro not high on anyone’s radar, he also won that night one competition that granted him that power to buy his safety. He literally can’t go home the first time he’s a target. He’s also landed in some solid alliances and deals. So that all makes him the most powerful player of the week.
2. Rachel. I completely understand that Rachel had a good first week because she had safety and it appeared she had nothing to worry about. But she had everything to worry about. She worked very hard to get to know everyone and make alliances, all while sort of taking a backseat and seeming very unassuming. You know how hard that is for Rachel? I mean come on! The best thing she’s done so far, though, has been all the pitting people against each other. No wait, the BEST thing she’s done is pushing showmances on people. She wants them distracted and “horny” (her word!). Now that’s a new strategy.
3. Mickey. This is the time when you should be laying low, taking everything in and getting to know people. Just like Chelsea did last season. And that’s exactly what Mickey is doing.
4. Will. Much like Mickey, Will has decided to sit back and take it all in. And he’s showing he’s got a great social game. People really seem to like him in the house.
5. Ava. I never expected Ava to be so sneaky, but she could be a real contender with that sneaky snake strategy. She’s doing a great job of spreading secrets and pitting people against each other. She also seems to be very aware of what’s going on with everyone. Maybe she really can read auras.
6. Morgan. I think Morgan is solid right now. I would actually like to rank her higher, but I am not sure how to gauge her game totally. I do know that she is clearly very smart and has a lot of support in the game. She seems to be positioned very well.
7. Lauren. Like Morgan, Lauren is holding onto a great spot. She’s getting close to some powerful people and will surely land herself in a strong alliance soon enough.
8. Adrian. I had a feeling Adrian would start playing hard right out of the gate, but he’s playing much smarter than I gave him credit for. I just don’t trust those Super Fans to not get in there and pull a Frenchie.
9. Ashley. This girl has got to work on her social game. But she seems to have Rachel and Amy in her corner, and she won the Power of Veto this week to save herself, so that boosts her in the rankings.
10. Vince. Sure his HOH reign hasn’t been perfect. Or even great. But for a first HOH reign in modern Big Brother, it’s really not that bad. He’s no Angela or Frenchie. Or even a Riley. But he could still be in danger in week 2 like two of the three I just mentioned. But he does have himself covered pretty well, so I think he might actually make it to Week 3.
11. Katherine. I keep forgetting she’s in the game, which can be a good thing. But she’s not the absolute best socially at the moment, so that’s why she falls where she does in the rankings.
12. Rylie. He has been able to rebound from everyone thinking he was the accomplice, but he’s still sort of just there. He is in some alliances though, so he should be safe for a few weeks. His downfall will likely be whatever is going on with his obsession with Katherine.
13. Keanu. I think until Wednesday’s episode I would have ranked Keanu lower. But he handled the whole Jimmy situation really well. By all accounts he should have been the replacement nominee, but he managed to remain safe for the week.
14. Amy. I am not sure why I have Amy ranked so low. I think I just don’t know what to make of her. She doesn’t seem to be a great strategist, but she does have Rachel on her side. She is on the block this week, but seems to be the least likely to go home in any of the possible voting scenarios.
15. Zae. I think if Zae is on the block after the Blockbuster competition, he’s gone. No one should ever leave a meathead bro in the game if they can help it. And openly telling Rachel she is in the “pool” of people he could target was such a stupid idea.
16. Jimmy. This guy. What is he thinking? He’s playing that Angela game currently. He even pulled out that very-rehearsed speech. The only thing missing was him calling Keanu “Crazy Eyes.” Jimmy actually has some strong allies, but they will probably realize he’s a liability sooner rather than later.
17. Kelley. This girl. What is SHE thinking? Deja vu, right? I actually know exactly what she’s thinking. She thinks she can play a Tucker game by volunteering to go up and wanting to make moves right out of the gate. But she will have a lot to prove if she wants to compare herself to Tucker. No one should ever volunteer to go on the block. Kelley could even go home over Zae. Bad move on her part.
How would you rank the BB27 houseguests so far?
