Big Brother has built its legacy on rivalries. We witnessed many memorable and exciting ones, and we might be getting the makings of the next great BB rivalry. The Big Brother 27 houseguests have already been playing for about a week, and tensions have surely built. The main conflict seems to be between Keanu and Jimmy.
We don’t know the exact origins of this beef. However, a lot of it seems to stem from Jimmy at some point trying to get Vince to nominate Keanu for eviction this week. Rachel used this information to build trust with Keanu by sharing it with him. Keanu returned the favor of being targeted by trying to get Jimmy on the block.
On Saturday, nominee Ashley won the Power of Veto. This meant that Vince must name a replacement nominee. Before the Big Brother 27 live feeds started, Vince settled on nominating Kelley as the replacement because it is the safest option. Kelley and Vince are friends, but he knows that he won’t ruffle too many feathers by putting her on the block.
However, he also knows she has a fairly good chance of going home if she remains nominated after the BB Blockbuster competition on Thursday. After Vince decided to nominate Kelley, Keanu and Jimmy spent a good chunk of last night and this morning complaining about the other and pushing for one of them to go on the block.
Jimmy didn’t hug Keanu this morning, and it let him know that Jimmy knew that he tried to get him on the block. He saw Morgan talking to Jimmy prior to this non-hug incident, so Keanu assumed she told Jimmy about his campaigning to get him on the block. This sent Keanu into extra game status. He had several one-on-ones to try to solidify an alliance with everyone but Morgan, Jimmy, Rachel, Will, Mickey, Amy, and Ashley.
He saw them as the other side. Because of his active morning, people began to tell Jimmy about Keanu’s plotting against them. This also got back to Vince, who considered making an enemy of Keanu by keeping the house happy and trying to take out a big threat.
Several people encouraged Vince to put Keanu on the block, including Zae, Kelley, and Rylie. However, after conversations with Rachel and Morgan, Vince decides to go back to his original plan of just nominating Kelley. He realizes that leaving Keanu off the block keeps a house target in the game as a shield and doesn’t create an enemy out of a big physical threat.
Additionally, Morgan spoke to Mickey about her frustrations with Keanu and Jimmy. People associate Morgan and Jimmy as a duo, but Morgan says she wouldn’t be opposed to Keanu staying and taking out Jimmy. Jimmy has promised to make the first Veto Ceremony of the season spicy by calling out Keanu during the Veto Ceremony.
Big Brother 27 is off to a fiery start.
