Your summer is nearly here. Big Brother 27 starts on CBS Thursday, July 10th at 9PM ET/PT for a 90-minute, one-night season premiere and this season is going to be bigger than ever!
CBS has announced one night a week is getting longer 90-minute shows and all-new “Big Brother: Unlocked” episodes have been added to the line-up on alternating Fridays at 8PM ET/PT starting July 25th. These Unlocked Big Brother 27 shows will feature three past Houseguests hosting with “never-before-seen broadcast footage from the house, exclusive interviews, surprise guest appearances and unprecedented behind-the-scenes access.” This sounds great! Gotta say I am very excited to see CBS expanding their Big Brother coverage rather than shrinking it.
CBS is really putting the “BIG” into Big Brother 27 because Wednesday night episodes have grown to 90-minute shows from their usual 60-minute runtimes. These are those weekly Power of Veto event episodes and now hopefully we can get more events from the house on everything between Friday nights right after Noms are revealed in the house and Monday afternoons when the Veto Ceremony is held.
And speaking of more BB27, yes, the Live Feeds will return! You’ll be able to watch the BB Feeds on Paramount+ and on Pluto. We don’t yet know when Feeds will turn on, but since it’s a one-night season premiere I think it’s a good chance that we’ll get Feeds that first night right after the west coast broadcast concludes, so that’ll be *checks math* ugh, around 1:30AM ET. Have mercy.
Hold that thought. CBS is apparently calling the second episode on Sunday July 13th, three days after the first episode, also a “premiere” episode that’s running 90-minutes. Ugh again. If CBS plans to hold back feeds until Sunday night, days and days after the HGs have moved in then we are really going to miss a lot. Let’s hope that’s not the case.

- Thursdays 8-9PM ET/PT (live shows)
- Fridays 8-9PM ET/PT (“Unlocked” starting July 25th)
- Sundays 8-9PM ET/PT
- Wednesdays 8-9:30PM ET/PT
No word just yet on the BB27 season finale, but I noticed CBS says those Unlocked episodes will air in September on the 5th, 19th, and 26th. Notice that last episode is just one week later versus the every two weeks during the rest of the season. Perhaps they’re trying to cram in before the usual Memory Lane Friday night show the following week for an early October finale? As long as we don’t stretch into November ever again then I’ll be happy.
