Another Big Brother 26 week, another flopped Quinn Head of Household reign. Seriously, he has to be feeling something about how his two times at the helm have ended in him losing an ally instead of three other preferred targets. So you can expect to see that on this week’s list of Best and Worst Moments before we get too deep into Week 8. Let’s get right to it.
Worst: Quinn Wins HOH
This makes it on the worst list because this means we will get a lot more diary room shouting this week. Also, it’s bad for him because he was always going to make it a disaster.
Worst: Quinn’s Nominees
Angela nom: Lazy. Kimo and Rubina: plain dumb. Not only was he going to alienated them further, his reasoning behind it was just silly. He was only nominating people who voted to keep Tucker (plus Angela). Tucker is gone. Why care about the people who voted for him. Focus on actual threats to your game.
Best: Leah Wins the Power of Veto
It has been nice seeing so many different people win competitions this season. Tucker might have won more than a typical share, but it’s nothing like last season and has really been spread out – and there have been a lot of women winners. The competitors are a lot more equitable this season. Such an improvement.
Best: Leah Uses the Power of Veto
For ultimate drama this week, I greatly appreciated Leah saving Angela. I am not sure why anyone would want to trust Angela, but hey, it’s entertaining. And it was nice for Leah do to what she wanted and not listen to the two men she friend-zoned.
Best: Joseph Goes on The Block
It was pretty funny to see Joseph get humbled this week. And it was also really entertaining to see Quinn make such a terrible decision for her own game. Why would he ever risk someone who was technically on his side? Joseph no longer had Tucker was Quinn was his obvious Final 2 deal to turn to. Bad, bad move, Quinn.
Best: Rubina Wins The AI Arena
That competition was made for her. And she surely made Tucker proud for winning herself safety. But this was the best case scenario for maximum drama and a pending blindside.
Best: Another Blindside
This is the season that keeps on giving. To watch a voting decision made in the moment like that is what this show was made for. We don’t get to see that usually because people have their votes decided by Monday night or Tuesday at the latest. So to watch Makensy really struggle with her decision to Julie and go with the blindside vote was great TV.
Worst: AI Arena Ends
I know it has to end. And I know s0me people aren’t happy that the backdoor option was out the door with this twist, but I loved this twist. It made the Thursday night episodes the most exciting episodes of the week. We no longer went into those episodes knowing what was going to happen. And I never like modern game twists. So they really made this one work. I am going to miss the Arena completion. I won’t miss Ainsley, but I’ll miss the three nominees and the Arena.
Best Player of the Week
This is a new one I just decided to add. This honor goes to Chelsie. She again lead the charge on the eviction vote. She has put in the work and is positioned very well in the game.
Worst Player of the Week
Quinn. Obviously. He completely wasted another HOH and got out an ally. At least he will have plenty of things to deep dive about when he reaches his ultimate goal of becoming a BB podcast guest.
