Big Brother 26: Chelsie Protects Her Position Heading Into Final 3

Chelsie Baham has been running circles around the rest of the Houseguests nearly this entire season and now just days away from the Big Brother 26 finale she’s working still to not to have any missteps in the last stages. Her overnight moves look to have her well positioned and ready to take advantage of the final effort ahead.

Final Four is set up with Cam, Chelsie, Makensy, and Rubina. Makensy had no shot at the F4 HOH which left the field open for Chelsie to swoop in and beat out the “competition.” I can’t wait to see how Cam managed to sneak in a nap during this latest challenge. He really is the Victoria of this season, isn’t he?

Now as the F4 HOH, Chelsie is guaranteed a finale night spot and even better, she doesn’t necessarily have to decide who comes with her. Well, as long as Chelsie doesn’t win the upcoming Power of Veto competition today.

See the winner of this final Veto will be off the Block and then cast the sole vote, unless that winner is also the HOH who would then elect one of the other three HGs to do the voting. Chelsie is not going to risk putting herself in that position of having to pick favorites and she’s already shown us that mindset.

Makensy and Cam both know they’re all working together with Chelsie. If Chelsie had sent either of her allies to the Block against Rubina then one could feel slighted over the other. Instead she’s kept things level between Cam and Makensy by sending them to the Block together so there’s not a perceived “favorite child.”

I’d even wager Chelsie is ultimately okay with whoever wins the Veto sending out any of the other three. She knows Makensy would take her to F2. Cam would too. Rubina? Ehh, I don’t know but I guess anything is possible. But the bigger question is whether or not Chelsie is worried about Rubina winning out at the F3 and possibly not taking her. Everything here is a calculated risk and I think that’s a reasonable risk to take.

So now we wait and see what happens next with the Veto. Chelsie’s biggest threat to the situation may be trying to throw a comp where Cam is also “playing.” I’d expect here for Chelsie to throw it and Makensy to win it so she can vote out Rubina on her own and the three can march on to finale night where Chelsie is guaranteed a chair in front of the Jury. Whether she wins or not is up to those other seven HGs.

Nicely done, Chelsie!
