Big Brother 22 Episode 15 Recap: Christmas Maintains The Power

Da’Vonne and Bayleigh remain on the Big Brother 22 block this week after Christmas won the Power of Veto and a plan Tyler had, for whatever actual reason, didn’t come to fruition.

Christmas says she nominated Bayleigh and Da’Vonne because they’re a powerful duo. Da’Vonne is confused why she’s nominated. She says it’s weak and it’s wack. She says there are more threatening pairs. Bayleigh feels disappointed and betrayed. She says her heart is broken. Da’Vonne reminds her that there’s a veto to be won.

So Bayleigh decides to go talk to Christmas. She finds Christmas a crying mess and Bayleigh is as confused as we are. Why is she crying? Why is Bayleigh the one consoling her? Bayleigh lets her know that she was never coming for her and thought they had a good thing.

Christmas tells her that she had to do it because Da’Vonne is Bayleigh’s ‘untouchable” and she was never going to be higher on the totem pole than Da’Vonne.

Meanwhile, Da’Vonne decides to try to squash the issue she’s been having with Dani. Da’Vonne tells Dani that the one person who has been telling her and Bayleigh that Dani has been coming after them is Tyler. Dani does not like to hear that as he’s in her alliance. Dani says he needs to be backdoored.

Dani goes to Christmas to tell her that Tyler is trying to pit the girls all against each other. Christmas is all ears, but as we know she also has a secret deal with Tyler. So this is all pointless and I’m moving on. Let’s see who the veto players are.

Joining Christmas, Bayleigh and Da’Vonne at the veto draw are Nicole, Dani and Ian. But Ian is having some real issues. He’s having major anxiety so he is pulled from the competition. But let’s see how the others do.

For this week’s veto competition the players will have to race. But they have to kneel and hold buttons down until they see a math equation on the screen that equals 13. Any false starts will be eliminated. Players are eliminated in rounds and every person gets a prize. But the players eliminated after can steal the previous prize.

Da’Vonne is out first because of a false start. Her prize is the Power of Veto. Bayleigh makes the same mistake and is out second. Her prize is a home gym and have-not pass. She trades it for the veto.

Dani is out next. Her prize is a slop unitard. She trades Da’Vonne for her prize. Nicole is out now. Her prize is $5,000. Nicole decides to trade Da’Vonne the $5,000 for the costume punishment. Christmas’s first place prize is a tai-athlete punishment. So she takes the veto from Bayleigh and gives her the punishment.

And now it’s time for a Tyler is a sad edit. Tyler has lost his love for the game, he says. He’s homesick and under pressure. And he surely doesn’t want to be in jury. So he basically wants to leave early because he feels he cannot win, those were almost his exact words, not mine. So instead of just saying he misses Angela and wants to self-evict, he decides to come up with this “moral dilemma” he’s having. He says that he feels guilty inside because he feels like he’s the reason the house is against Da’Vonne and Bayleigh.

So he goes to them and tells them that he wants to go home this week instead of one of them. He says he feels guilty and wants them to be there for a greater reason than he is. He says he’s going to ask Christmas to remove one of them from the block and put him up and ask the house to send him home.

Bayleigh and Da’Vonne are touched that he’s offering this up to them and they both realize they might have a shot at staying this week. But they are cautious to not get their hopes up. As they should be.

Tyler goes to talk to Christmas next. He does present her his plan. And she’s never going to do it so we get some really bad editing that makes this look like Bayleigh’s fault, so I’m not entertaining this any longer. Here’s what happens: At the veto ceremony Christmas does not use the veto and Tyler looks like a golden boy. The end.
