Big Brother 21: The Best And Worst Moments Of Week 8

As we enter into Big Brother 21 Week 9, also known as “Prank Week,” let’s pause and take a look back at the best and worst moments of the past week. We had a lot of drama and interesting game moves, so week 8 was no week 6, but we’ve seen worse.

The Best Moments of Big Brother 21 Week 8

No Repeat HOH. In eight weeks, we didn’t have a repeat HOH. I love that. It’s quite the rarity. And it wasn’t even awful that it was Jackson because we all knew he had an agenda. Of course he didn’t stick to it and that makes my worst moments, list a little later.

Jackson Nominates Christie. I think a lot of BB fans are on the same page when it comes to Christie, so we were pretty excited to see her on the block again this week after last week’s botched America’s Field Trip nomination.

Jackson Wins Veto and Keeps Nominations the same. This was truly Jackson’s week. He won both competitions, and has seemingly redeemed himself a bit with viewers. Live Feeds watchers are still not buying into the Jackson reform, but he has been a little more pleasant after leaving the Six Shooters.

Big Brother Editing. This week’s episodes were A+ as far as editing goes. One of the best moments was when Tommy was trying to tell Christie while she was showering that she can always look to him to see home. And she couldn’t hear him and then she responded with subtitled gibberish. Instant classic.

Taco Tuesday. While it wasn’t the best fight in BB history, it was definitely a good time. Christie vs. Nick has been brewing for a bit so it was quite a fun blow up.

Big Brother Pranks The HGs. As we saw on Thursday night’s episode, Big Brother kept the HGs up all night long playing bird calls. And that was all a big joke to kick off Prank Week. The HGs spent the past several hours trying to remember and recreate the bird calls only to be told the HOH comp has nothing to do with that. That was completely hilarious and one of my favorite moments of the entire season.

Jackson Doesn’t Nominate Tommy. I guess people in the game don’t see just how close Tommy and Christie are because I was shocked when Jackson didn’t nominate Tommy next to Christie. None of this matters now, but to me it was the logical move.

Christie Flips the Vote. Christie worked hard on getting the vote to work in her favor this week, but in my opinion, that was a terrible move on the players’ part. Especially Jackson. I don’t understand how he wanted her out for so long and then suddenly changed his mind. I feel like there was some kind of reason for it that we will never know or understand. I’m not saying there was production tampering with the game, but I think something changed Jackson’s mind that we don’t know about. It was just so weird to me.

Julie’s Hair. I don’t normally go this route, but did Julie’s hair on Thursday must be discussed. Did you like it? I thought it was terrible.

No Jury Segment. I guess it wouldn’t be super exciting to see Jack greet Kat in the Jury House, but I always love a jury segment.

Once again we have more good moments than bad. I was hoping for another decent week, even if I think the wrong person was evicted from the Big Brother house this week.
