It was a quiet Labor Day in the Big Brother 21 house following the veto ceremony. HGs talked very little game as they waited on a surprise the holiday that ended up being a grill and a lot of food and booze.

Big Brother 21 Live Feed Highlights – Monday, September 2, 2019:
3:15 PM BBT – Cliff tells Nicole that Tommy using the veto actually makes him less nervous that Jackson and Holly have a second deal going on with Tommy. Cliff says it also shows that when Jessica goes there are three groups of two.
3:20 PM BBT – Nicole asks Cliff if they should really try for HOH. Cliff said he thought about it and it might be too risky to just sit back and let Holly/Jackson and Christie/Tommy go after each other. Nicole says she was thinking the same thing. They agree that Jackson is a lot smarter than he lets on.
3:22 PM BBT – Cliff tells Nicole that he would still rather be on Jackson and Holly’s side than Tommy and Christie’s.
3:25 PM BBT – Jackson again says he will break the tie to send Jessica home. Nicole and Holly are worried about how hard Tommy and Christie are going to push for Jessica to stay.
3:29 PM BBT – Nicole talks about one of them winning and nominating Christie and Tommy and if one of them comes down then one of them has to go up. Holly and Jackson say that’s fine because they would still have to votes to evict whoever is left on the block. Jackson says if one of them doesn’t win HOH though, they are screwed.
3:45 PM BBT – Holly tells Jackson that she wants Christie to go before Tommy because she has more loyalty to him. Jackson asks if Tommy has loyalty to them though. They talk about Tommy maybe being more loyal to Nicole and Cliff. They agree that Nicole and Cliff are less likely to work with Christie than they are Tommy.
3:47 PM BBT – Jackson tells Holly that he thinks they could beat Christie or Tommy in a final 2. Jackson thinks the only person that can beat them is Cliff. They go over how they think everyone would vote.
5:20 PM BBT – HGs playing a game of which HGs from the season would make good couples. Nothing much going on.
6:05 PM BBT – Everyone hopes they get surprised with some food for Labor Day festivities.
6:45 PM BBT – Nicole and Tommy talking about family. No one is talking about the game.
7:05 PM BBT – HGs hope they get surprised with family videos.
7:50 PM BBT – Nicole has been worried about getting stranded in California after the show. Jackson says she can stay with him. He says she’s like the little sister he never had.
8:00 PM BBT – Everyone is antsy about what the surprise will be for them. BB had told them not to cook dinner, so they know something is coming.
9:15 PM BBT – The backyard opens back up. HGs got a grill and a ton of food for Labor Day.
9:30 PM BBT – HGs are grilling some burgers and enjoying the snacks.
9:45 PM BBT – Labor Day feast is underway.
10:55 PM BBT – HGs debate who salted the sodas. Everyone denies responsibility.
11:40 PM BBT – Holly worries to Jackson that Tommy and Christie may target them (H & J) instead of going after Cliff and Nicole since they’re actually the bigger targets. She wonders whether or not she should throw HOH as they discussed. Holly decides she’ll fight for it if she has to.
11:50 PM BBT – Holly is worried about Cliff but says they made a deal with him so they should keep it.
11:50 PM BBT – Christie and Tommy discuss if they can get Nicole to flip on Cliff. Tommy notes Cliff would keep Nicole for F2 so he doesn’t think she’s flip on Cliff.
11:55 PM BBT – Jess joins Christie and Tommy. She shares that she doesn’t think Holly or Jackson would help save her this week.
11:55 PM BBT – Cliff tells Holly and Jackson that Christie and Tommy have promised him their vote to stay but maybe they meant it as they’ll vote with the house.
12:00 AM BBT – Jackson decides they can’t throw the HOH comp after all and Holly needs to win it.
12:05 AM BBT – Holly regrets they can’t vote out Christie now but says they couldn’t have stopped Tommy from saving her.
12:40 AM BBT – Christie talks with Jess about trying to flip Nicole against Cliff.
12:55 AM BBT – Prank Wars continue. HGs looking for new ideas to try.
2:30 AM BBT – HGs head inside while Nicole remains and camtalks about things in general, both game and life back home.
3:00 AM BBT – HGs are off to bed.
Jackson and Holly are waking up to the danger in their plans to keep Christie and Tommy around together for so long. Looks like Holly won’t be throwing the next HOH comp after all. Smart move. Few more days and we’ll see what happens in the DE.
