Big Brother 21 Episode 27 Recap: Christie Gets Pranked

After some how surviving the block last week in the Big Brother 21 house, Christie finds that the prank is on her as she lands on the block once again thanks to the America’s Prankster twist.

And it’s not lost on Christie that this is the second time she’s on the block because of America’s vote. She has an inkling that she isn’t America’s sweetheart.

Sunday night’s episode picks up right after Holly won the Head of Household competition, but first we have to see what went down before that HOH competition Thursday.

Jackson lets us know that he knows what it looks like that Christie is still in the HOH. He says it’s because her being in the house is better for him. We then see Christie making some deals 28 hours before the eviction. She vows that she will not be going for Holly or Jackson. She says her target would 100 percent be Nick. She also tells then she would gladly take 4th or 5th place.

Cliff and Nicole’s votes were crucial to Christie staying, though, so Christie talked to Cliff and he made a deal for himself and Nicole.

Back to “real time” new HOH Holly lets us know that her target is Nick. But she’s worried about Prank Week messing things up. She and Jackson decide that with Nick as her target, her other nominee, assuming she has two nominees, should be Christie.

It’s time to find out what Nicole, Cliff and Jessica’s punishment is from being last in the HOH competition. They have to make pies and then smash it in their faces.

Christie checks in with Holly and Jackson and Holly tells Christie that her target is Nick and then Christie would go up as a pawn. And Christie freaks out and says “Now? Already?” She says she knows she agreed to be a pawn for them, but didn’t know it would be this soon. And Holly is not surprised that Christie reacted that way and is questioning if keeping Christie was the right decision.

The HGs are finally called to the living room to find out about America’s Prankster. Holly reads that the prankster gets to control one of her nominations. She says she will only be nominating one person and the prankster will secretly nominate another person.

So Holly at least now doesn’t have to put Christie up, so Holly has to talk to Christie and backtrack on her going up as a pawn. Soon after, Nick heads up to talk to Holly to work on not being her nominee. He doesn’t really offer her anything worth taking, though.

It’s time for a Christie chewing segment! I knew this was coming! If you are a Live Feeds watcher, then you know Christie is quite the chewer. I’m glad TV-only viewers got to experience it.

But more importantly it’s time to find out who America’s Prankster is. And for some reason it’s Nick. He gets to name one of the week’s nominations. And he lets us know that this might be his way to make it through this week. He knows he’s going to be Holly’s nominee, but will he stand a better chance at survivor next to Christie or Jackson?

At the nomination ceremony, Holly names Nick as her nominee and Nick secretly named Christie as his.
