Big Brother 21 Episode 19 Recap: Beastmode Jessica Holds Onto The Power

Is it too early to start calling Jessica Beastmode? Because she holds all the power this week and is poised to have the most successful Head of Household so far.

Wednesday night’s episode picked up right after the nomination ceremony. Jessica nominated Jack and Jackson with Jack as the main target.  Christie is bummed out that Jack is on the block but she reminds us that she has the panic power and will use it if she needs to.

Jessica lets Holly and Kat know that she would prefer Jack to go this week. She then lets Nicole, Cliff and Nick know that as well, and that she does not want to have to name another nominee this week so if they are picked and win veto, don’t use it.

So let’s see if any of them are playing. At the veto draw, it ends up being Kat (via Jessica’s HG choice), Tommy (via Jack’s HG choice), and Nick joining Jessica, Jack and Jackson in the veto competition.

It’s time for the veto competition! For this competition, the HGs will be spun around and then they have to shoot rockets onto the field to score points. And this is the whole trade prizes veto.

Nick is up first. He scores 18. Tommy is next and scores 4 points. Kat is up next and she ends up with 2 points. Jessica is next and scores 12. Jack is next up and he lands on 21. Jackson is last up this round and he scores 12. That means Kat is out that round and claims the 6th place prize which is the veto.

Tommy is up first the second round and gets 15 points. Jessica is next and scores 10. Jack is the next one up and he lands on 0, so he’s out of the competition. Jackson is up next and he scores an 18. Nick is up again and this time he scores 5. Jack is out and claims the 5th place prize which is a trip to Hawaii. Jack trades Kat for the veto.

Jessica starts off round 3 with 4 points. Jackson is up next and he lands on 4 also. Nick is back up and he ends up with 5 points. Tommy is up next and ends up with 1 point. Tommy is out and he picks the 4th place prize which is an angry alien punishment. He trades Jack for the veto.

In round 4 Jackson gets zero points. Nick is up next and grabs 15 points. Jessica follows Nick and lands on 10 points. That means Jackson is out and he takes the third place prize, which is “BB explorer.” He trades it to Tommy for the veto.

Round 5 leaves Nick and Jessica. Nick is up first and he scores 17 points. Jessica is up last and she somehow lands on 28. So Nick gets to pick the second place prize which is $5,000. Nick decides to keep the money. Jessica picks the first place prize which is a Dr. Alien punishment. She trades that to Jackson for the veto. So Jessica has won the Power of Veto.

And with that Christie’s power has expired and completely flopped.

So will Jessica use the power of veto? Of course she won’t. There’s a bit of an edit to make us wonder if she would actually pull Jackson off the block and put Nick up, but she clearly won’t use it. So let’s jump to the veto meeting and see what happens.

Jessica decides not to use the Power of Veto. Jack and Jackson are the final nominees with Jack as the main target.

And of course I’m joking about Beastmode Jessica. Two comp wins isn’t enough for that nickname, but it’s never too early to be silly in a Big Brother recap.
