Tyler is hard at work yet again on Big Brother 20 and he’s got an interesting plan, but this one won’t be easy and it’s definitely risky for the trust he’s been building with a new potential ally. It’s good fun for us though!
Friday evening revealed Bayleigh’s nominations with Brett and Rachel going to the Block which put two L6 members in the danger zone. When the POV players were revealed there was a good shot for L6 to keep their hopes alive and sure enough, Tyler pulled off the victory. Here’s his plan. Tyler had previously revealed he wanted to try and get Scottie up on the Block as the renom then out the door, but that’s easier said than done. Doesn’t mean he won’t try it.
Tyler is sitting with Bayleigh in the HOH room and starts mentioning how close he is to Scottie. Scottie is his new best friend and closest ally who tells him anything and everything, per Tyler’s story. Bayleigh is just thrilled to hear how well Tyler likes Scottie. She now has the expectation that Tyler will not be using the Veto, but that’s not his hope.
Now I think Tyler is banking on Scottie still being a sour point for Bayleigh since he flipped his vote and helped push Swaggy out the Big Brother door, but Bayleigh might not be as opposed to this plan as he hoped. She’s encouraging this alliance and even suggesting they could win things between the three of them to keep the power cornered.
Jump ahead to 10:24 PM BBT 7/28 Cams 3/4. Tyler explains to Kaycee that he’s hoping to use the Veto on Brett and has been working to pin Scottie as the new renom. He asks Kaycee to suggest to Bayleigh that there’s a threesome alliance between Tyler, Brett, and Scottie. Tyler says he won’t use the Veto though unless he’s confident Scottie will go up. It’s a clever idea, but may be hard to make work.
Should Brett come down then Bayleigh may be hesitant to put up Scottie if she feels like she can work with him now. Tyler’s faux “Scottie is the best!” may have actually created too much trust for her with Scottie. So who else would she put up?
Bayleigh could be sticking to this girl-power alliance which would push her over to renoming one of the guys. Tyler is safe so she could pick from Scottie, Faysal, or JC. It won’t be Faysal and maybe not Scottie if she hopes to work with him. Would she be willing to use JC as a nom? Probably. But that doesn’t work for Tyler’s plan and would just cause him more problems down the road when JC stays.
If Tyler wants to get Scottie on the Block then he’ll need to work this hard and fast. He’s got Sunday and Monday morning before Bayleigh would have to be convinced to get Scottie on the Block. We saw Tyler fail last week to protect Kaitlyn, so he’s not flawless in this game, but if someone can do it then it’s probably Tyler.
The other trouble here for Tyler is that he’s risking a developing ally in Bayleigh. If he gets Scottie up and voted out then he’ll have kept both his L5 allies but at the risk of betraying Bayleigh in the process. And over on the L6 side of things, Rachel fears Tyler has already flipped and is working against her. Meanwhile, he’s over here trying to save her from eviction while she flails around causing him problems. If she keeps it up he may just throw his hands up and actually work to get her out since he already prefers to keep Brett.
We’ll keep watching to see what Tyler gets up to on Sunday and if he makes any progress with this plan. It sure won’t be easy with Rachel working against him but that could just make more fun for us to watch on the Feeds! Do you think Tyler can make it happen or is this plan dead in the water?
