Adam Poch’s Big Brother 19 Player Rankings – Week 03

Wow, as I get set to write this I am amazed that it’s only week 3 in the Big Brother 19 house. This season has been so packed with excitement & drama, it feels like we have been watching these people for months, not weeks. Just this week we had house meetings, fights over pool games, another HG isolating themselves, and so many “scenarios” being discussed. AND… it’s going to get a whole lot more intense with this week’s Battle Back.

But first… let’s take a look at each player’s game this week on Big Brother and see if they earned themselves some delicious bacon, or if they will suffer with some icky Tofu.

Jason Dent – 4 strips of Bacon – Congrats to Whistle-Nut for his first win of the season. he came close in the HoH and then won the Veto. This was key as his #1 ally Alex was HoH and they controlled all the power after being on the bottom the first 2 weeks. Although his constant “Should I or Shouldn’t I’ use the Veto was getting mind numbing – he is starting to figure out how to play this game and if he can add some challenge wins along the way – Jason can be a threat moving forward.

Alex Ow – 3 strips of Bacon – Alex once again proved how much of a competitor she is and after winning HoH – she could have gone 2 ways…. 1) play it safe and work her way in with the power couples + Paul, 2) flip the house on the people who have controlled the game up til now. She took the safe route despite her comment that she was going to make a big move after winning. While she also did say to Jason they needed to do this to build trust & then annihilate the group from the inside, we are not so sure because she has also said she is all in with Paul. Either way, Alex is walking away from this HoH without too much blood on her hands, and no one is targeting her, so job well done.

Jessica Graf – 2 strips of Bacon – what a difference a week makes huh? Last week’s Tofurkey ended up on the block this week but Jessica did a great job of integrating herself back in with the house. She benefited most from Dominique’s implosion – and did nothing to shift the target back on her. We shall see how the Battle Back effects her – as most of us think that Cody will return to the game.

Ramses Soto – 1 strip of Bacon – for some reason Ramses is still seen as one of the biggest threats in the house. People are constantly talking about him being at or near the top of their hit lists. He just keeps having fun and enjoying his summer unaware of the danger he is in. But as long as other people keep overplaying, Ramses keeps chugging along.

Matthew Clines & Raven Walton – 1 strip of Bacon to share – until either one of them do something on their own – I will keep grouping them together. While both were talked about as replacement nominees if Jason used the Veto, and both were seemingly comfortable with that move – neither of them really had much else going on this week. They continue to be the least threatening couple in Big Brother history. Maven are just sheep walking around the house – but this seems to be working for both of their games.

Kevin Schlehuber – 1 strip of Bacon* & 1 strip of Tofu – Kevin’s hinky votes & shady behavior are starting to pop up on people’s radars – but he’s also the comic relief needed in this stressful house. Kevin keeps telling Jason & Alex he’s all in with them, but then also tells Paul he’s all in with him. I think he loves causing chaos in the house and this could spell his downfall once people start connecting the dots. Until then – his walks with Jason around the backyard continue to be some of the best non-game feeds we have had this summer. *Also – I will throw another strip of bacon for his retelling of the “anal bleaching” conversation to Jason

Christmas Abbott – 1 strip of Tofu – The sympathy for Christmas is still there – however her vote for Ramses raised some red flags and now people are starting to question her motives. The target seems to be growing on her a little more because of how she talks to people. Her inability to play in competitions will be her downfall, but I can guarantee if she ever gets nominated, the Veto will not be a physical one (the “how bad do you want it” Veto may come back into play). Some of the other HGs have mentioned that Big Brother will probably bring her back another season – so that alone will be a good enough reason to vote her out sooner rather than later.

Paul Abrahamian – 2 strips of Tofu – yes, Paul is still running the house. Yes, Paul still has a bunch of people willing to throw away their game, to help him get further. Yes, Paul still does crazy things to have all the attention on him. This week as soon as he heard Dominique “hinted” that he was the snake in the house – he went into overdrive. Calling her out was actually a good thing, and for us east coast people, we got some great early morning feeds on Saturday as the semi House Meeting in the HoH was great feeds.

But, Paul also beat this dead horse into the ground. It was not enough that he got the rest of the house against her, he constantly talked so much garbage about her to anyone that would listen. HOWEVER – he also did talk to Dom and admitted he dressed up like a snake just to play it up and try to be funny. (You can see this convo on Monday night – around 7:45pm). While some of his comments were a bit over the top – I do not think it was intentionally racist – despite TMZ’s story.

Elena Davies – 3 strips of Tofu – I need to stop watching her on the feeds – all she talks about is sex. I am no prude, but it’s obvious that Elena cares more about the size of men’s genitalia then she does about winning half a million $.

Mark Jansen – 4 strips of Tofu (and a shot of Pickle Juice with Hot Sauce) – oh Mark, your gentile giant side is fading, and your Hulk side is starting to take over. His friendship with Dominique seems to be at the core of all the drama this week – and he does horrible damage control. He stayed on the Cody ship a little too long and that raised some red flags. Now with Dominique being the target, he cant seem to cut ties with her. If there are any hinky votes this week – Mark will be blamed. Let’s see if he overreacts to that as well.

Josh Martinez – 5 strips of Tofu (and 1 tofu meatball) – “On a personal level” I really like Josh, I hope he has a wonderful life. (raise your hand if you have heard that exact line from him 1000 times!) Josh is so erratic in behavior – and while that is great for us watching the feeds, its horrible for his game. No one wants to work with him, and they will keep using him as a vote until they need an easy target for the week. I cannot wait to see how he handles being on the block as a target and not a pawn. There will be some amazing moments when that happens.

That brings us to the Tofurkey of the Week – and this one is an easy one – it goes to God for giving Dominique Cooper some bad information… hahah JUST KIDDING, it goes to Dominique. Last week I said she would be the first one to jump off the Paul train and it would be too early. Guess what, she did exactly that!!! Dominique was in such a great spot until her “talk show” last Wed night where she exposed the “organic group.” That was enough to cause Paul and his minions to start to question her motivations. This also was enough for Paul to “suggest” to Alex to nominate her. THEN Dom put the last few nails in her coffin by her conversation with Alex.

Dominique did not realize her roundabout conversations where she will not call people out by name but infer who she is talking about makes her seem even more shady. THEN once she was put on the block – she did not do anything to try and secure her safety – instead dug her own ditch and will be walking out the door this week. HOWEVER with all the speculation of the last Temptation “the Halting Hex” could save her this week – who knows what will happen. How funny would it be of Dom gets it, does not leave this week, and then Cody wins the Battle Back? That would pretty much nullify the last 2 weeks of the game, and we would be back to 14 HGs and a full season of Big Brother yet to be played.

My question of the week is – what do you think would happen if Cameron wins his way back into the house? I personally would LOVE to see that as we never really got to see him play.

OK – another week in the books and the drama does not look like it’s going away anytime soon! We had a hiccup last week – but I think the “safe” moves will start to go away as everyone is becoming a target for someone. This has been a great season so far – and cannot wait to see what happens next!

Let me know what you think of my rankings this week – as well as answer my Question of the Week in the comments section below.
