Big Brother 17 Recap: Episode 13 – Audrey Blows Up Her Game

If there was ever a week when resident Big Brother 17 stuff-stirrer Audrey would be safe, it would be during a Shelli Head of Household. As Audrey’s biggest ally, Shelli never wanted to be a part of an Audrey takedown.

But Audrey left Shelli with no other choice this week as she blew up what little bit of game she had left.

The episode picks up right after James and Jackie won the Battle of the Block, dethroning Liz/Julia and leaving Shelli as HOH. And Shelli tells us that she’s not sure she made the right decision by making Jason the target.

Jason and John remain on the block and both are worried. John reminds us that he’s usually trying to get into this situation, but for the first time he does not want to be on the block.

Elsewhere, Audrey is throwing Shelli and Clay under the bus to James, because she has a fear that if someone uses the veto this week, she could be at risk as a re-nominee. Unfortunately for Audrey, she went to the wrong person. James runs right to Clay and Shelli and told them that she was talking very negatively toward them.

Clay and Shelli take it all in and decide that Audrey is ruining their game and is digging her own grave. So then Audrey starts moping and crying over Shelli telling Jason that Audrey is the reason he’s on the block. Clay, even though he’s pretty over Audrey, tries to comfort her, but all she wants to know is that will happen if someone wins veto.

Cut to Shelli and Vanessa. “Audrey is driving me crazy,” Shelli tells Vanessa. She admits that she should not have told Jason what Audrey said, but what’s done is done. Clay comes in and they’re all frustrated that Audrey is being messy to the people that have been protecting her. They decide to just sit on all of this information until after veto players are picked.

So after a pointless Whackstreet Boys performance, let’s see if Audrey gets picked to play in the veto. Joining Shelli, John and Jason in the competition are Vanessa, Meg and James via houseguest choice. So Audrey is officially vulnerable and as Shelli’s badly-read diary room lines, if they want to backdoor Audrey, then it should be no problem.

Shelli doesn’t want to have to do this to Audrey, we learn. She still doesn’t want to be the one to send Audrey and is brought to tears over it. Shelli doesn’t understand why Audrey can’t just stick with them and why is she putting them in this situation. Clay even tells Shelli that if she doesn’t want to put Shelli up this week then don’t do it. He will win next week and do it.

So at the 90s-themed veto ceremony, James is out first. Shelli is the next person out after deciding to throw it. Meg is out next, leaving John, Jason and Vanessa. John and Jason both mess up on the next round, making Vanessa the Power of Veto winner.

And as if everyone didn’t have enough of a reason to go after Audrey, she decides to to to Shelli’s boy Clay and start a fight with him. Clay takes the latest spat with Audrey to the HOH room so she decides to join the discussion so she can let Shelli hear both sides of the story. Oh, and Vanessa is there too. So after the battle with Clay, one with Vanessa ignites that basically seals Audrey’s fate.

At the veto ceremony, which Audrey chose not to attend, Vanessa uses the veto on Jason, and Shelli names Audrey as the replacement nominee. So there’s no point in me saying either John or Audrey will be evicted Thursday night. Audrey will be evicted Thursday night.
