The Power of Veto competition will be held on Saturday afternoon in the Big Brother house and with just five Houseguests left in the race there aren’t many options for what could happen next. All the same, HGs are plotting and scheming even if none of it matters at all.
Only two Houseguests remain “safe” and off the block this week with two more nominated and one sitting as HoH. Should either of the “safe” Houseguests win the Veto today and decides to use it then the other one would be forced into becoming this week’s renom.
Last night Derrick spoke with Cody about that very possibility and how they should handle it if the opportunity arises.
Last night on Big Brother Live Feeds the remaining members of Team America, Derrick & Frankie, received a new mission from viewers. After a week off from their tasks the challenge is back, but can they pull it off this time?
Derrick receives word that they’re back on the clock with the chance to earn another $5,000 each even though Donny was evicted. He runs up to the HoH room to tell Frankie their good news. Flashback to 10:28PM BBT 9/5 to watch. As for the mission? America voted to keep the HGs up all night in search of a rodent in the house.
Frankie and Derrick decide they’ll spot a mouse on separate occasions in the same night and keep everyone awake in search of the fictional Houseguest. To be considered a success everyone has to stay up until 6AM BBT the night of their adventure.
They suggest creating their own little mouse traps and if anyone goes in to the DR to ask for a real trap then production has agreed to tell HGs they’re setting up traps around the outside of the house. Derrick says they have to scare some of the HGs with false sightings and run-by’s.
Both Derrick and Frankie agree that this is a very doable mission for Team America. Considering everyone tends to stay up anyway and they’ll only have to convince three people to do it then this should be a gimme. Derrick explains that if anyone goes to bed then they run the risk of them falling asleep and Team America failing the mission.
Watch for TA to put their new mission in to action later tonight (Saturday) but probably not until around midnight since they can start the challenge at anytime but no one can fall asleep before 6AM.
Now we’ll just have to wait for Frankie to blame the mouse’s existence on Zach for leaving Froot Loops around the house.
The Big Brother 16 houseguests had a pretty eventful day, but we didn’t get to see any of it. The feeds were down a lot today as Jeff and Jordan stopped by the house to film their engagement surprise segment set to air Sunday.
Also Frankie made his nominations even though we know they’ll all become void as the HGs hit the rewind button. Find out what else happened on the Big Brother Feeds in the house yesterday.
Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Friday, September 5, 2014:
The new Head of Household was crowned last night during a late night competition and the nomination plans decided upon quickly just as soon as they handled that other pesky aspect of the game that would make all of this pointless.
Big Brother 16 Week 11 Nominations:
Jeff excitedly broke the news on Twitter saying “Why are the live feeds off…. Maybe cause of this…. SHE SAID YES! Thank you sooo much @CBSBigBrother.” Check out the full size photo of their engagement celebration complete with champagne, family, friends, and BB16 Houseguests.
Congratulations to Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd on their engagement. It’s been a long time coming for sure, but it finally happened.
CBS just released a photo of Jordan’s ring as well. Looks great. What do you think? Click the thumbnails to view the full size photo:
When Julie Chen announced that JeJo would be back on Sunday’s show we knew this was going to be about their engagement. Jordan had given Jeff a September deadline and the clock was ticking down so looks like Jeff wasn’t going to let her get away.
HGs discussing it now and suggest Jordan was surprised, but I don’t think that’s possible. If we knew they were going to announcement their engagement, then surely she knew too, right? Either way, that’s fun news for them.
Check out these pics from when JeJo went on their trip to Australia last year:
Christine Brecht played an interesting game on Big Brother 16. She was part of the two biggest alliances of the season and noted both fell in to her lap, but at what cost did she stick with them? Well I guess it was at the cost of being evicted by the guys she supported while betraying her personal allies in the game all season.
It was tough to come up with questions for Christine that weren’t in the vein of “what were you thinking?” and “why in the world?”, but I’m sure those are questions she’ll be asking herself those for some time to come. So what lessons and experiences did she take away from her time on Big Brother? Let’s see what she had to say.
Matthew Boyer – Big Brother Network (BBN): Were you concerned at all during the Double Eviction? You didn’t seem to campaign or fret the situation too much.
Christine Brecht: I knew that if I was going up, I was going home. So there was no reason to campaign at that point. I said what I had to say during the week.
BBN: What did you think of the Big Brother Rewind twist that Julie revealed in front of you? Who might that help the most?
Christine: Ooooh! I thought that was very exciting and I think it might help Frankie the most.
BBN: When Nicole returned did you give serious consideration to reuniting with her or was that bridge too badly burned?
Christine: The bridge was burned, at that point I knew I couldn’t trust her enough to work with her again so I didn’t try.
BBN: As a superfan and knowing Big Brother history, why did you feel comfortable sticking with an alliance of all guys?
