It was a crazy first night in the Big Brother Over the Top house and not the kind of crazy we’ll probably be getting in no, time, but actually literally crazy. It was chaotic and loud and all over the place. It was nearly impossible to keep track of conversations and what was going on. In other words, it was pretty awesome.
The major events of the debut were the HGs moving in so we’ve marked all those off below for any of them you want to go back and watch. Then once that was over the HGs settled in and the flood of conversations and personalities arrived.

7:00 PM BBT – BBOTT launches!
7:17 PM BBT – First HG to enter the house is Scott. He explores.
7:20 PM BBT – Morgan is the next HG in the house.
7:26 PM BBT – Shane enters.
7:36 PM BBT – Neely comes in the house.
7:41 PM BBT – Shelby is the 5th HG to enter the house.
7:47 PM BBT – Cornbread enters.
8:01 PM BBT – Kryssie comes through the door.
8:09 PM BBT – Whitney is next in the house.
8:21 PM BBT – Justin enters.
8:31 PM BBT – Alex is the next one in.
8:41 PM BBT – Monte enters.
8:51 PM BBT – Danielle enters, leaving just one, the returning player.
9:01 PM BBT – Jason comes in the door and has returned to Big Brother!
9:31 PM BBT – Julie calls everyone in the living room (they’re all there already so this is clearly pre-taped). Julie explains that there will be no jury and that competitions and ceremonies will be different this season because of the live nature of everything.
9:40 PM BBT – Jason filling the newbies in on things like slop and the BB ant problem.
9:45 PM BBT – Memory wall is revealed.
10:37 PM BBT – The back yard opens up! The HGs all run outside to check it out.
10:40 PM BBT – Jason and Shelby are paling up it seems.
10:48 PM BBT – Justin is laying it on thick with Danielle. He seems very interested in her and she seems completely not. Caleb, I mean Justin is telling Danielle how she’s very attractive and the kind of woman he goes for in real life.
11:00 PM BBT – Danielle escapes from being cornered alone with Justin in the hammock. She speeds over to the rest of the entire group at the backyard couches. Everyone is saying whether they’ve watched BB before. Justin admits he hasn’t and doesn’t watch TV.
11:20 PM BBT – Jason starts warning the other HGs about the Feeds and cameras. (This is why we can’t have nice things with Vets there.)
11:25 PM BBT – Suitcases have arrived in the storage room so HGs can claim their belongings and get unpacked.
11:35 PM BBT – Monte and Shane appear to be the new bromance as they split off for the first game of pool for the season.
11:40 PM BBT – #BBOTT trended #1 on Twitter!
11:40 PM BBT – Alex just called her sister a nickname name (Mo, instead of Morgan). Shelby noticed that right away. Alex tries to cover by saying she’ll give Shelby a nickname too. Several of the other HGs are serious superfans and have watched for years and years.
12:05 AM BBT – Jason calls Justin “girl” and Justin gets upset. Jason tries to explain it’s a compliment.
1:10 AM BBT – Jason is studying the memory wall and comments how similar Alex and Morgan look. Looks like it’s his turn to figure this one out.
1:20 AM BBT – Alex and Whitney (both superfans) agree that they can’t let Jason get to the end because America already knows him and loves him. Very smart. Smarter than those newbies last season.
1:25 AM BBT – Alex and Whitney agree that they need to try and win HoH.
1:45 AM BBT – Jason relays stories about Becky (BB17) getting hit by a train. Everyone is stunned.
2:10 AM BBT – HGs gathered again in the backyard & chatting. Monte, a recruit, says he was told “no one ever regretted being on this show.” I’m dying.
4:30 AM BBT – HGs starting to wind down and get ready for bed. Lights go out in London but the chatter continues.
4:50 AM BBT – Shane, Monte, Scott, and Cornbread have formed a 4-man alliance. Justin is on the outs of their group, but they’ll use him as fodder. All agree to fight hard for the HoH and have their next meeting in the HoH room.
Fantastic first night of BBOTT. This was so much fun to watch things that we’ve never been able to watch before with the live move-in. Houseguests are great (different casting them for this season if you hadn’t noticed) and the dynamics are strong.
