It almost seems like Rachel Reilly Villegas cannot play Big Brother without having some sort of iconic rivalry. She has had some sort of tension in the two previous seasons. Ragan Fox and Rachel’s fight is often included in the reels of greatest Big Brother fights of all-time. You can count on Rachel to bring the drama.
She’s been delivering and getting into several disagreements with Keanu. The Keanu and Rachel beef has been entertaining to watch, but her true rival may be Ashley. Ashley and Rachel share Amy. She’s close friends with both, which means their interests align in that they want her safe. However, they often have a power struggle on who has the most influence over her. Despite people believing Rachel and Amy’s bond is unbreakable, she often seems more aligned with Ashley.
Ashley is a very confident player. She seems to treat Big Brother 27 like an easy game that she understands very well. Therefore, she doesn’t often take Rachel’s guidance and advice seriously. This, of course, annoys Rachel. In general, Ashley has been testing the nerves of a lot of houseguests with her bluntness. Additionally, small things like Ashley not wanting to help clean the bathroom have caused some tension.
On Wednesday, we start to see tension rise even more between Ashley and Rachel. Rachel is stressed this week because things aren’t looking good for Amy staying. At the start of the day, Rachel has a conversation with Katherine that doesn’t go well.
It seemed clear that Katherine is leaning towards evicting Amy. Later, Rachel starts to campaign to Lauren about the upcoming vote. She talks about the women needing to stick together. Rachel then brings up hearing that Katherine doesn’t like Amy and plans to target them. Lauren denies this. The conversation continues for a bit before Ashley joins in and tells Lauren she doesn’t need to get involved in the she said she-said-she-said thing. It might hurt her game.
Lauren then goes to use the bathroom. Ashley immediately says that was messy. Amy and Rachel disagree. The women go back and forth, with some comments like Rachel saying, “How many times have you played Big Brother before, Ashley?” And Amy brings up that Ashley is the only one saying she said she said.
Ashley also makes a comment that Rachel trusted everyone last week. The tension between Ashley and Rachel continues to build, so it will be interesting to see how their relationship develops over the next few weeks, if either even makes it long enough.
Could Ashley become Rachel’s next great nemesis? We’ll have to wait and see.
