Keanu unleashed the first power during the Power of Veto Competition. It allowed Big Brother 20 winner Kaycee to play in the Power of Veto Competition on Keanu’s behalf. Kaycee won the Power of Veto, meaning Keanu could use the Veto to save himself. He did just that. Jimmy nominated Amy as his replacement. Also during the Power of Veto Ceremony, Kelley activates her power.
Sunday’s episode revealed that Kelley’s power granted her the opportunity to win a second Power of Veto. Kelley competed today in the second Power of Veto Competition, designed only for her. She won it.
This meant that Kelley could remove herself or someone else from the block. She used the Veto on herself, which resulted in Jimmy nominating Will for eviction this week. On Thursday, Will, Amy, and Adrian compete in the BB Blockbuster for one more chance at safety. This will leave two of them on the block to face the eviction votes.
Jimmy started the week with a good plan. He wanted to remove one of the two big house threats: Keanu or Kelley. He also suspected that both won powers and wanted to eliminate at least two of the three powers from the game. Only Morgan knows for sure that Mickey has the third power.
This was a smart move because it makes the game fairer for everyone else. After all, there are fewer powers in the game. However, it also made this HOH week more complicated. Instead of having to nominate three, maybe four people, he had to nominate five. However, the best thing about this only being the second week is that Jimmy had a plethora of options.
He made the easy moves by putting up Will and Amy as Kelley and Keanu’s replacements. Most people know this was a safe move because they’re two of the older houseguests, not looking like competition threats, and it seemed like their eviction wouldn’t cause big waves. Additionally, he doesn’t see Amy as a valuable player for his game.
Due to her association with Rachel, many already wanted Amy gone last week. Some may say that Jimmy made the best move he could make this week. He had to make choices that would work for the longevity of his game. It was too risky to take out a bigger game threat. However, some may say that Jimmy’s move is way too safe.
He didn’t go for a big threat, but that still leaves them in the game to potentially go after him. Also, Jimmy going after Will and Amy has upset some people. Morgan, Mickey, Ashley, and Rachel are not happy with these final nominees. This may result in them turning their backs on him completely.
He also wanted to keep Adrian safe this week as a pawn. Now Adrian’s chances of staying, if he loses the BB Blockbuster, aren’t looking that good. Jimmy may see someone leave who was not a factor in his game. As Head of Household, you should want to use your reign to further your game. He might have hurt his Big Brother 27 position. Only time will tell.
