Big Brother 18 Spoilers: Grodner Teases Return Of Pandora’s Room

Twist details have been scarce so far for Big Brother 18 and this little tidbit doesn’t get us much farther, but all the same executive producer Allison Grodner shared more hints of what we can expect.

In an interview with EW Grodner revealed this season would likely feature the return of the old Pandora’s Box room. After first I thought she was bringing out the PB reveal already, but no, just the room. As for how it’ll get used, that’s going to remain a mystery for a little longer.

But what about a Big Brother favorite that has been absent from recent years — Pandora’s Box? “It’s been a while,” says Grodner… “We were doing that for a while and we always like to mix things up. You may see it again or you say see it in a different way.

I’ll tease that — we might have another use for that room that we use for Pandora’s Box this summer.”

Well yeah, that room has been in use for the past two seasons as the secondary HoH room and you know what else it was recently used to house? The Coaches’ bedroom from BB14 when there were twelve new HGs and four returning players. Feels a little familiar, huh?

I’m starting to worry that I was giving them way too much credit in my speculation for non-Coaches twist explanation compared to what Big Brother 18 could end up delivering. Fingers crossed this is better than their last “fan favorite” idea.

There are so many options for what they could be doing with that room. It’s been used for both extra sleeping quarters, special visits, and obviously Pandora’s Box. Hard to tell what direction they’re going with this year but I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets used as a living space in conjunction with the returning players. What do you think they might end up doing with the space?

Lots of answers ahead for us tonight on the Big Brother 18 premiere. It’s a two-hour event kicking off at 8/7c on CBS followed by another house on Thursday (9/8c) and then soon after the Big Brother Live Feeds launch for the summer so be sure you’re signed up with the Free Trial and ready to start watching the action from the in-house cameras!
