Big Brother is in its homestretch as the Final Three Houseguests look ahead to the season finale next Wednesday, but before they get there we’ve got a few more competitions. Here’s how those will work.
The Final HoH round of the season is unique in that there are three individual competitions without any sort of nominations or Power of Veto involved. Those two elements are retired for the season. The three competition rounds typically follow a pattern which we can reliably expect again this season.
Round 1 of the Final HoH is an endurance competition where all three HGs face off. The winner of Round 1 is guaranteed a seat in the third round competition and sits out the second round.
This season’s endurance portion actually took place last night following the live eviction show. Cody, Derrick, and Victoria held on to mock hang gliders while standing with their backs against the infamous “Wall” as it did its best to toss them to the ground and out of the race. Check out our full recap of the competition which was available to watch on the Live Feed and find out who won Round 1.
Round 2 of the competitions features the two losing HGs from the first round. Typically we see a physical based memory challenge where the competitors must recall the season’s events in a certain sequence. The physical element could be climbing like last season or even underwater as in other past seasons (don’t throw your goggles off and away!).
The winner of the second competition secures the other seat in the third and final HoH round. He or she will then face off against the first round’s winner in a potentially high-stakes competition.
Round 3 will be an “A or B” duel featuring video commentary from the Jurors where the HGs compete to rack up the most points in series of questions. You’ll hear something like Zach say “the biggest Froot Loop dingus this season was…” Julie will then offer two options: “A for Nicole or B for Pao Pao.”
Whoever pulls off the win here becomes the Final HoH of the season and casts the sole vote to evict either of the other two HGs. Whoever is evicted is sent out to Julie and will join the Jury as the F2 prepare to give one last speech and await the Jurors’ decision.
Friday night we will see the first round play out on a special episode at 8/7c on CBS. The second round will be held soon inside the Big Brother house and we’ll have your spoilers on that. We will see that next competition as part of Wednesday’s finale show. The third round will be live so we won’t know the final HoH or the F2 until the moment it happens.
We’re almost to the very end of BB16! I hope you’ve been enjoying the season and hanging out with us this summer. It’s been a blast discussing it with everyone so thank you for joining us again this year.
