Big Brother 16’s Donny Thompson has exciting news: he’s engaged! America’s Favorite Player wasted no time after the season ended and quickly popped the question to girlfriend Kristine Bartley.
Perhaps inspired by that other engagement this season or maybe a case of distance making the heart grow fonder, Donny decided he was ready to put a ring on it. Best of all, she said “yes!”
During an interview released this week by BNJ, Donny Thompson closed the discussion out saying “Kristine is no longer my girlfriend, she is my fiancée.” Much cheering and hugging ensued as the room congratulated Donny on his wise decision. Looks like Donny finally got that alliance after all!
Big Brother fans will remember Kristine’s appearance in an episode early this season when Jeff visited Donny’s hometown to speak with his family and friends. We also heard many references to Kristine by Donny and saw how supportive she was of his decision to apply for the show including helping him film his audition video. And don’t forget that touching HoH letter that brought Donny to tears.
Congratulations to both Donny Thompson and Kristine Bartley on their engagement. We wish them the very best of luck and can’t wait for updates on their plans for the future and when they’ll tie the knot.
