Big Brother Network: How will the new Big Brother casting site work?
Robyn Kass, Kassting Inc.: We’re still working on the finishing touches, but we’re hoping the new system will be much more user friendly than sending in a DVD. Also hoping to get more applicants this way! You will be able to fill out a small application online, upload a video to us, and the rest is history!
BBN: When will the Big Brother casting site be available?
Robyn Kass: Hoping by the beginning of March. As everyone knows, there are always glitches to be worked out, so please don’t send me hate-tweets if I’m off by a few days. :) @Kassting

BBN: What makes the new casting site an improvement for both Big Brother applicants and your casting crew?
Robyn Kass: Big Brother casting has basically been the same for the past 13 seasons. It’s something my staff and I know like the back of our hands. Changes are always nerve-racking at the beginning, but we’re all confident it will end up being easier on the applicants and on my staff. I hear stories of people who’ve always wanted to apply, but they don’t have a video camera or the process is too long, this will open it up to all those people. Survivor and Amazing Race both started with this process and I hear it’s been great on casting!
BBN: Will Kassting Inc. still accept mailed in Big Brother applications and videos?
Robyn Kass: I think the goal is to go completely paperless. That being said, I know there are people who have already sent videos in and those will be considered as well. Once the site is up and running we’d prefer everyone apply that way.
BBN: Anxious applicants may be tempted to submit both online and by paper. Is that necessary?
Robyn Kass: No need to submit both methods. The same people will be watching both, so you’re covered either way.
BBN: Will there be any changes for finalists notification with this new system?
Robyn Kass: Semi-finalist and finalist notification will be the same. We’ll contact you if you’re moving on to the next level. I don’t have those exact dates yet.
