Gobble Gobble everyone out there in Big Brother land. For the first time ever – we have house guests spending time in the Big Brother house for Thanksgiving – but for one very unlucky person, they will probably be spending Thanksgiving in a hotel (tear shed for Shelby!).
The house is down to 5 people, 4 after tonight, and the days are getting much longer in that house. We see everyone sitting around being bored, playing Jenga, eating, sleeping, but there is still some gaming left, and the most important comps still to come.
One week from tomorrow – WE THE PEOPLE will decide who walks away with $250K as the winner of Big Brother Over The Top – BUT FIRST – let’s take a look back on the week and see how everyone did.
Jason Roy – 5 strips of Bacon – When you get down to the final 6 – you get to play in every Veto comp – so you do control your own destiny. This week Jason was the target, but the backup plan of Kryssie or Justin going home was thwarted by the Care package. Jason was nominated and absolutely destroyed the Veto – winning it for the 3rd time this season, and the 2nd time when he was on the block. He is now one (or two) comps away from winning this season.
Let’s face it – if Jason is in the final 3 – there is a 99% chance he wins no matter who he is against. We have seen Jason’s game face all season long – and despite being the biggest target most of the season, he has navigated his way through – and kept some loyal allies on his side to help push him further. He has not played a flawless game like Derrick (S16) – but the twists this season have sure helped him along the way. At this point, this is his game to lose.
Morgan Willett – 3 strips of Bacon – Morgan finally won an HoH this week to secure her spot in the final 4 – and she unfortunately is “responsible” for her best friend going home this week. If you listened to her Live DR’s – she knew that winning against Shelby would be tough and needed her to go home, but I think she wanted it to be next week, not this week. Big Brother is a marathon, not a sprint, so her coming alive this late in the game is good for her safety, but she has no one else left to help her.
Morgan is a darkhorse for sure to win it all, but if Jason can go home next, and the LNJ fans split their votes for Kryssie & Justin, and all the Ball Smasher fans vote for her, we could see an upset on finale night. There was a little rumble last night between Justin & Kryssie to possibly get rid of Jason next, and that would open up the door for Morgan to slide into the F3. But Morgan needs to win her way there to 100% have a shot.
Justin Duncan – 1 strip of Bacon ya dig? – Justin was hand delivered the Care package this week by Shelby when she nominated Danielle last week, and he won the opportunity to compete in a challenge by himself to guarantee his spot int he final 4. After 2 hours of practicing (really????) – he got 1 chance to walk across the tight rope – and he did it successfully to punch his ticket to F4.
Some people say Justin’s shtick is getting old – but I think this is just his regular personality. He has stayed true to himself the whole time – and along the way started to figure out how to play Big Brother. He has gone back on some of his promises, which you have to do to get further – but he has not spit the venom that his alliance members have about the other side. If (once) Shelby leaves – Justin will be the one I am rooting for!
Not everyone deserves bacon this week though. Rankings continue on the next page…
This week’s rankings continue with the back half of the Big Brother Houseguests for this week.
Kryssie Ridolfi – 3 strips of Tofu – She still does not get it huh? She is not playing to win the game, she is playing to help Jason win the game. Like I mentioned earlier in Morgan’s recap – there is a small rumble that Kryssie would try to get rid of Jason next week, but if the opportunity came to get rid of Jason or Morgan, I know Kryssie would get rid of Morgan.
Yes, Kryssie did win an HoH early in the season – but she has not done much else to try and convince us to vote for her to win BBOTT. I mean, if we were voting on the most gassy house guest – she would win in a landslide – but this is not Big Burper, it’s Big Brother!
That brings me to the Tofurkey of the Week – and if you have been reading this column all season, you know this is the hardest week for me. I have to give the “honor” to Shelby Stockton… (another tear shed). She knew what was at stake with this week’s Veto comp – and she flopped miserably. Sure she had Morgan also playing for her, but we know how that goes most of the season. But the loss alone is not why she gets the Tofurkey… but it’s how she rolled over and died. This is Big Brother and there is always a chance.
Shelby could have tried to get Justin or Jason to flip on Kryssie – I mean, it would be a long-shot (see what I did there) – but you gotta try girl!!!! She did say she did not want to fall into a trap again like the fake Final 5 deal from a few weeks ago. But you GOTTA try girl!!! UGGGGGGH!! I will not be “that Fan” that says I will not watch once my fav leaves – but the live DRs will not be as entertaining without her in the mix.
Good thing there is only one live DR session left. I do feel sorry that she may not be able to spend Thanksgiving with her family – hopefully the producers can bring her family to LA to be with her… OR… just maybe… maybe – this “Special Game Changing Ceremony” could be a Battle Back for her – but I doubt it. No matter what you think of Shelby – if you have a heart, you will have a moment of silence in her honor before you sit down for dinner with your family tomorrow!
OK – there ya have it… next week, I will do my final BBOTT rankings for the season, and will break down each player’s game. This was no doubt a very entertaining season – but I think I speak for all of us when I say – it will be good to have a 6 month break from Big Brother (or 3 months if you follow Big Brother Canada).
My question of the week has nothing to do with BB – instead it’s “What’s your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving besides Turkey?” Mine is Stuffing! Back in my post college days when I was first living on my own and working a low paying job – I would have stuffing as a meal. It’s soooo good!
From outside the Big Brother house, I am Adam Poch, have a great day!
