Victor Arroyo – Big Brother 18 Eviction Interview

It was Victor Arroyo’s third eviction from Big Brother 18, but last time he spent about 10 minutes outside the Big Brother house so I didn’t get the chance to interview him that round. Now here we are with a third-time evictee and his second-time eviction interview.

Many weeks have passed since we last chatted with Victor and his game has evolved immensely as he was tearing through the house and was quickly working his way to the top of a lot of fans’ favorites list. Now that he’s out of the running to win BB18 we may see him again as a finalist for the AFP prize, but for now, let’s read what he had to say following his latest eviction.

Big Brother Network (BBN): Despite your F4 alliance with Nicole and Corey they decided to flip on you. Do you think there’s anything you could have done differently to keep your foursome together?

Victor Arroyo: The only way the final four would have stayed together is if Paul had won that HOH. I think that Corey and Nicole already had that in their mind that if they won they would evict Paul or I. They knew we were stronger competitors and they didn’t want to take the chance of facing us at the end.

BBN: You managed to have a record breaking three attempts at the game this season. What case would you have made to the Jury to not hold that aspect against you over a Final 2 opponent who got there in one Big Brother “life”?

Victor: Yes, I had three attempts at the game but nobody had a harder road than I did to get to the end. I had to win more competitions than if I had stayed in the house. If I had made it to the end and had to give a speech to the Jury I would have let them know that I had a target on my back since day one and for me, getting to the end was harder than anybody else. I was the underdog story.

BBN: If you had survived this vote and went on to win the final HoH, who would you have picked to take to the Final Two?

Victor: Why are y’all even asking that… I would have taken Paul, of course.

[Note: My question was asking which of the other F4 (James, Nicole, & Corey) he would have taken to F2 since if Victor had survived this vote that would mean Paul was gone and not available to be taken with him to F2. Victor obviously didn’t understand and since this was by email due to being a Juror, I didn’t get the chance to explain what I thought was a clear scenario. Oh well.]

BBN: Who is playing the best game right now to get to the Final Two?

Victor: Corey. He has been piggy backing off of Paul and Nicole this entire game and now he just has to win a few comps to secure his final two.

I thoroughly enjoyed Victor this season and was glad to see him get so far in the game even if it did take a few extra lives to reach the F5. He was a great competitor and with a great spirit for the game, but yeah, like he admitted many times, his willingness to trust is what did him in for Big Brother 18.
