This will be a tough episode to follow Tuesday’s Big Brother 27 where we saw a breakdown of the game and system with a poorly designed situation that goes beyond just a sudden elimination. Tonight we’ll see next how production failed to adequately plan for what would happen when half the remaining F8 HGs wouldn’t get a chance to even compete for the next Head of Household Comp. Spoiler: all of the final Noms this week were excluded HGs. Kudos on a job done, Big Brother.
Yes, Rachel Reilly was eliminated when she failed to complete the wheel maze in time and I’m still amazed that Big Brother decided to set the stakes so high and so detrimental to the remaining HGs who did not get a chance to play. Easy fix on just the part of the excluded HGs: all HGs play the puzzle, fastest wins HOH, slowest is eliminated. If they had to immediately send someone out why did they also punish the rest of the HGs who never got a chance to go? Even better: create a fast forward week that quickly evicted a HG through the regular cycle just at the quickened pace instead of an instant elimination.

We’ll see the rest of the HOH, Nominations, and Veto play out in tonight’s 90-minute episode starting at 8/7c on CBS. If you can’t wait and want the full results spoilers then we’ve got the HOH results, Noms results, and Veto results too.
