Most of Big Brother 27 Week 5 has revolved around whether Zach would use his $10,000 bribe to escape the block. He could have had an easy week by guaranteeing his safety. However, on Monday, Zach shocked many by not using the bribe Veto. On Monday night, he finally revealed this power to Morgan.
He told her that he didn’t use it because he knew that she would go up. He didn’t want to risk losing her in the game. He sees her as his number one ally. On Wednesday night, Zach decided to also tell Mickey about his power to build trust. It took a while for him to get an opportunity to tell her about it, finally.
Mickey had been pulling people into meetings all day to ensure the votes went her way. She was sure that she wanted Keanu out. However, she was more torn about whether to keep Vince or Zach this week. Originally, she wanted Vince out over Zach. However, a conversation with Ava made her realize Zach’s charm may be too dangerous to keep in the game.
She still planned to take out Keanu, if given the chance, but now saw Zach as the bigger threat. Mickey had begun having conversations to keep Vince in any scenario this week. Then Zach finally found some time to reveal his power to Mickey. He unveiled that he’s had this power since week one.
Mickey immediately mentioned, How are they supposed to build trust if he keeps secrets? Then he told her that he could use his $10,000 to buy his way off the block. He also told her that this power is good until the jury. The only reason he didn’t use it this week because he didn’t want to risk Morgan going on the block.
He also told Mickey that Morgan knew about the power because he also told her this week. Zach framed the power as something that could help their four-person alliance. He could buy himself safety to lessen the chances of one of the four going out during a week when one or more were in danger. He said that not using it shows that he really wants to play and stay in the game.
Zach said he is loyal to the foursome of Vinny, Morgan, himself, and Mickey. He plans to tell Vince about the power if they both survive this week. He also said he would not tell Lauren about the power. This was a secret that only the four in their alliance would share. Mickey also told Zach that she wanted to try to keep Vince and him in the game. She also saw value in their foursome.
Zach and Mickey hugged after the reveal. Then Mickey began pacing around, likely looking for Morgan, before being called into the Diary Room. Yet another person knows about Zach’s power. It’ll be interesting to see if Zach survives this week and whether the other three keep his secret. It wouldn’t be surprising if someone shares it to ensure Zach leaves this week, or the next time he’s on the block and decides not to use the bribe.
However, based on his conversation with Mickey, it seems like Zach might not risk it on the block again with the bribe available. We will have to see how this decision to tell Mickey pans out for him this week, especially.
