Big Brother 27 Week 8: Alliances and Deals Update

In a season that feels like everyone has worked together at some point or another and gone after each other all the same, it’s really difficult to get a read on who is really with whom in the Big Brother 27 house. As we’ve seen in recent seasons, loyalty has gone as extinct as the nomination key wheel. So who is really tight in the Big Brother 27 house? There are a few strong bonds, still, but no super strong alliances. Let’s take a look at the house dynamics for Week 8.

The most notable group is The Judges. That formed during Rachel’s Head of Household when she nominated Mickey, Morgan and Vince. Morgan and Rachel made up, which then lead to a group of the two of them and Ashley and Will. And then Morgan pulled Vince in. Rachel and Vince agreed to work together instead of against each other, and the Judges alliance was born. And it lasted the entire week after as Vince was HOH. But as soon as Keanu became HOH, the Judges weakened. And now it’s still a thing, but there’s no way Rachel, Will and Ashley will keep Vince this week. So that alliance is as good as dead.

However, there’s a pretty solid trio within that group: Rachel, Ashely and Will. They seem to be all in on one another. Will has even been pushing for them to form an official alliance and include Ava. The problem here, though, is that Ava doesn’t trust Rachel, despite the two of them having a Final 2 deal. And from what we’ve seen from Ava all season, Rachel would be silly to trust Ava. I think they would all be better suited working as a trio and Will just having Ava as his plus one.

And among that trio, Rachel and Ashely are bonded pretty solid. But so are Will and Ashely. So Ashely could eventually find herself in a bind or in a really great place where she gets chosen by either of her main allies. And Will has his close relationship with Ava. Will is pretty well covered, to say the least.

Now let’s look at Vince. One of the main themes this season has been Vince aligned with everyone. And this week it finally caught up with him and he’s in real danger of getting evicted this week. He has the crumbling Judges alliance, but other than that he now only truly has Morgan and Lauren. Keanu seems to be back on Team Vince, too, though, despite putting him up this week and saying it would be no skin off his teeth if Vince went home this week. Keanu now regrets that as he realized he put one of his only allies in danger this week. Which is also a common theme in modern Big Brother. Why do so many people put their allies on the block now?? It’s such terrible gameplay.

Keanu’s only other solid relationship is with Kelley. And Keanu is her only solid relationship. Vince finally burned that bridge with her, so she’s just kind of hovering outside the house dynamics with a very weak tether to Keanu.

Morgan is closest with Vince, but if Vince goes this week, Rachel, Ashley and Will think that would help Morgan prioritize them, thus maybe saving the Judges alliance, minus Vince.

As for Lauren, as I mentioned earlier, she and Vince have their deal. Lauren also still has the Bond Girls alliance with Ava. But that never seems to really be anything other than a mostly unspoken understanding.

And then there’s Mickey. She was once covered almost as well as Vince. But now she’s on an island. There’s still some remnant coverage among Will, Ashley, Morgan, and even Rachel though. None of them are willing to fully work with her again, but they have figured out she would be better to have around than Vince. So Mickey might survive the block this week if she’s sitting next to Vince.

The Big Brother 27 house structure is conviluded at best. The dynamics shift from week to week, and sometimes from day to day. Just know that the most unbreakable bonds in the house are Morgan/Vince, Will/Ava and Will/Ashley. Rachel and Ashley are pretty tight, too, but I am not sure what either would choose if they got to the end of the game.
