There’s not a whole lot to praise about Big Brother 27 Week 4. From the icky showmance segments to the horrible game moves, we had a real dud on our hands this time around. But let me see if I can squeeze out enough good moments to balance out the bad.
Best: Mickey Activates Her Power
When Vince let Mickey know she was likely going on the block as one of Rylie’s nominees, she did exactly what she should have done by taking over his HOH with her secret power. What she did later is when there’s a problem.
Worst: More of The Same
Sure, Mickey used her power, but she stuck with the tired plan of targeting Keanu before the veto. At this point, the whole house is obsessed with taking him out, yet nobody seems to understand how to actually do it. It’s getting old. Still, careful what you wish for.
Best: Keanu wins The Veto (Again)
As much as the weekly “target Keanu” storyline has worn thin, I canโt help but laugh every time he wins veto and ruins the plan. Itโs become a running gag at this point. Backdoor him already. This isnโt your first season, people.
Worst: Mickey Names Jimmy as The Replacement Nominee
This was easily one of the worst moves in Big Brother history. Jimmy may have been messy, but he was Mickeyโs ally. He wasnโt going to target her. In evicting him, she got rid of someone who would have shielded her and likely remained loyal. She did the dirty work for half the house, damaged her credibility, and gained absolutely nothing. Itโs hard to watch someone self-sabotage so thoroughly.
Best: The Voting Fiascoย
This week’s eviction vote was hardly split, but it was still a very entertaining one. Aside from all the obnoxious shoutouts, I enjoyed this one a great deal. Watching people talk about how to vote in the Diary Room hallway was wild. And Ashley making history by going back in the diary room to change her vote (that of course was not allowed so her first vote stuck). So funny.
Worst: Another Forced Showmance
Here we go again. The editors are desperate to make โRylie and Katherineโ a thing. But if youโve been watching the Live Feeds, you know this is wildly one-sided. Rylie is giving off clingy energy while Katherine seems barely interested. Itโs uncomfortable and it feels manufactured. Please stop trying to make this happen.
Best Move of The Week: Vince Helps Nudge Jimmy Out The Door
A lot of people contributed to Jimmyโs downfall, but the edit gave Vince a significant amount of credit, and rightfully so. By exposing Jimmyโs fake alliance to Morgan and Mickey, Vince helped tip the scales. While the move didnโt benefit Mickey, it did work out well for Vince. Credit where itโs due.
Worst Move of the Week: Mickey Nominates Jimmy
Yes, again. Itโs worth repeating because it was just that bad. Mickey blew her power, her HOH, her alliance, and probably her game โ all in one move. Unlike past flops, there wasnโt even a half-decent justification. It wasnโt strategy. It wasnโt social. It was just a disaster. When I see her on screen now, I hear the losing horn from The Price is Right.
