Big Brother 27 Episode 23 Recap: Mickey Poisons Vince’s Plan

Tonightโ€™s episode of Big Brother 27 was filled with backstabs, betrayal, and near-murder. Not real murder, of course, but a cheeky โ€˜pick your poisonโ€™ veto competition that left Vince flat on the floor while Mickey sipped her way to safety.

The episode begins with Vince nominating Ava, Mickey, and Kelley for eviction. Vince makes it clear that Mickey is the target, while Ava and Kelley are pawns to keep his new Judges alliance content. Kelley, however, feels completely betrayed. She has been working with Vince since Day 2 in a Final Two deal, and now she sees that trust unraveling.

Mickey also feels blindsided, but her frustration is aimed more at Morgan than at Vince. She believes Morgan should have stepped in to protect her. Morgan pretends she was unaware of Vinceโ€™s plan, but the truth is she knew all along, just like the rest of the Judges. They quietly watch as Mickey and Morgan exchange tense words over the betrayal.

Rachel is thrilled she is not on the block, but she knows that the veto could change her fate. Meanwhile, Keanu has made it his mission to target Rachel. His reasoning? Lauren and Katherine admitted they would vote for Rachel in a final two scenario, which makes her too dangerous for his liking.

Vince begins damage control. He promises Kelley that if he wins the veto, he will use it on her and put Rachel up instead. In the diary room, though, Vince admits he has no intention of keeping that promise. Kelley senses he is lying, but she has few other options for allies. In the same breath, Vince also tells Mickey that he will save her if he wins the veto. Mickey, like Kelley, does not believe him.

Katherine still holds a grudge against Vince because of the Rylie vote. She hopes Rachel becomes the replacement nominee, declaring in the diary room that Rachel makes her โ€œsick to my stomach.โ€ She wants revenge for Rylieโ€™s eviction and sees Rachel as the perfect target.

Keanu doubles down on his obsession with Operation Backdoor Rachel. He pressures Vince at every turn and even tells Kelley that Mickey is the real target, encouraging her to hope for a veto win that could open the door for Rachelโ€™s nomination. Vince floats the idea of backdooring Rachel to Morgan, but Morgan refuses to entertain it. She insists that the Judges must remain intact and warns Vince not to break up the alliance this early. Vince worries that if he ignores Rachel now, she might strike first later, but ultimately he decides the safest move is to win veto and keep nominations the same.

The veto players are selected: Vince, Mickey, Ava, Kelley, Will, and Keanu. Kelley chooses Keanu as her Houseguestโ€™s Choice, which excites him because he cannot stop planning Rachelโ€™s demise.

The veto competition begins. The players must trick one another into drinking poisoned glasses. Two poison drinks mean elimination. The last player standing wins the Power of Veto.

Ava picks Keanu first, and she ends up poisoned. Mickey targets Kelley next, but Kelley turns the tables and Mickey takes the poison. Vince faces off with Will and successfully poisons him. In round two, Keanu picks Will and loses, while Kelley targets Mickey and poisons her. Vince goes after Ava, who is eliminated after her second poison.

In round three, Kelley finally gets Vince to drink poison. Keanu eliminates Will. By round four, Vince poisons Keanu, knocking him out, while Mickey takes down Kelley. The final showdown comes down to Vince and Mickey. Mickey survives, Vince does not. Mickey wins the Power of Veto.

With Mickey safe, attention turns to the replacement nominee. Keanu pushes relentlessly for Rachel, as does Lauren.

Vince informs Rachel that Keanu has been throwing her name around. Rachel, furious, confronts Keanu, who denies it. His denial is so clumsy that Rachel begins to believe it might be true. In classic bad gameplay, Keanu runs straight to Vince to repeat the conversation, essentially confirming Rachelโ€™s suspicions. Suddenly, Rachel has become a legitimate option for nomination.

Meanwhile, Rachel makes Kelley cry after icing her out because Kelley made an earlier comment about Rachel being annoyed when Katherine was saying something nice about Vince. Rachel tells Morgan that her official targets are now Kelley and Keanu. Morgan relays this to Vince, reassuring him that Rachel would not go after him. Vince takes comfort in that, but he still wrestles with the idea of putting her up.

At the veto ceremony, Mickey saves herself, and Vince chooses Katherine as the replacement nominee. Looks like for now Vince has decided to ride with the Judges.
