Big Brother 27 Episode 22 Recap: The House of Tears

With Rylie freshly evicted, the Big Brother 27 house is soaked in tears, paranoia, and betrayal, just the way we like it. And once again Vince is faced with multiple dilemmas, the kind he brought on himself by having deals with everyone.

Sunday night’s episode picks up moments after Rylieโ€™s eviction, and letโ€™s just say… people are more broken up about it than anyone ever should be. Vince is especially distraught. Heโ€™s ridden a wave into a new alliance and voted against his original group, and now the guilt is hitting harder than a Zingbot roast. He fears that he was only brought in for his vote … and worse, that his old allies will now see him as a traitor and target him next.

Meanwhile, Mickey is also far too emotional for someone who just sat next to her best friend on the block. Ashley and Will take note, and the realization hits: Mickey is no definitely longer someone they can trust. Her loyalty, they suspect, died alongside Rylieโ€™s game.

After what feels like an eternity of sobbing and second-guessing, itโ€™s finally time for the Head of Household competition. And it’s the classic wall competition. We all know how it works. Houseguests cling to a slippery, tilting structure while being pelted with cold water and other assorted misery. The last one standing wins HOH, and the first three down earn the dreaded title of Have-Nots for the week.

HOH Competition Results:

  • Will and Ashley are the first to drop at 29:43, followed by

  • Morgan at 33:45 โ€” making them this weekโ€™s Have-Nots

  • Mickey falls next at 50:24

  • Ava can’t hold on past 52:51

  • Kelley lets go at 59:17

  • Keanu drops at 1:03:00

  • Lauren falls at 1:09:32

That leaves just Vince and Katherine. But any hopes of a deal are quickly dashed when Katherine makes it clear she has no interest in negotiating. That might have been a mistake, thoughโ€”she loses her grip at 1:14:41, handing Vince the HOH crown.

Cue the power scramble.

Keanu is first to slither in with a pitch: put Rachel on the block. His reasoning? Katherine and Lauren told him they’d vote for Rachel in a final two scenario, and he doesn’t like those odds. Vince, who just formed an alliance with Rachel, doesn’t shoot the idea down. In fact, he kind of likes it.

For now, Vince seems locked in on nominating Mickey and Ava. He assures Lauren and Katherine that theyโ€™re safe, but that still leaves him needing a third nominee. Keanu, ever the opportunist, floats the idea of throwing Rachel and Ashley into the mix alongside Mickey.

But here’s the thing: when you’re in an alliance with everyone, making decisions gets real complicated, real fast.

Vince ultimately chooses to nominate Ava, Mickey, and Kelley, though he makes it clear that Rachel remains a potential backdoor target, if things fall the right (or wrong) way.

With trust eroding, loyalties constantly shifting, and a backdoor situation brewing we can definitely expect more tears to flow through the Big Brother house this week.
