It was a night of nostalgia as OTEV made his Big Brother 27 debut and old-school Rachel Reilly returned in full form. We were even treated to some BB12 clips (that look really dated now).
The episode picks up after Rachel nominates Vince, Lauren, and Mickey. Vince takes the news calmly and seems to be handling things better this time. Mickey, on the other hand, is upset and crosses a line by bringing up Rachelโs family. Enough said.
Ashley voices her disappointment in Rachel for nominating Mickey. Will also isnโt thrilled but appears to understand the move more than Ashley does. Morgan is upset too, but instead of lashing out, she channels that energy into strategy. She approaches Rachel and admits she had planned to nominate her. In the Diary Room, Rachel questions the sanity of this group of newbies.
Meanwhile, Keanu and Kelley are relieved to be safe and continue working on their relationship with Rachel. Lauren tells Kelley she might be in danger as a possible replacement nominee, since her bond with Rachel isnโt as strong.
Ashley, unaware that she has toilet paper stuck to her, approaches Rachel to plead on Mickeyโs behalf. She even suggests Rachel should win the veto and use it on Mickey. Instead of helping, this only makes Rachel more suspicious of Ashleyโs motives.
In (unwanted) showmance news, Rylie is all in while Katherine clearly is not. The dynamic feels clingy and a little uncomfortable. Thatโs all that needs to be said on that.
Mickey eventually calms down and talks with Rachel. She says she is not angry anymore but is deeply disappointed. Rachel responds by saying sheโs unsure where they stand and reflects on BB12, noting that internal battles only helped players like Hayden, Lane, and Enzo in the end. The conversation ends with a hug, but Mickey says she wonโt forget that Rachel put her on the block.
Next, players are chosen for the veto competition. Rachel, Mickey, Morgan, and Vince are joined by Will and Lauren. The competition is OTEV, who appears this season as a Godfather pig. As usual, houseguests must race to find answers to OTEVโs clues, and the slowest or incorrect players are eliminated each round.
OTEV Elimination Order:
-
Round 1: Will
-
Round 2: Vince
-
Round 3: Rachel, Mickey, and Morgan (all pick incorrect answers)
Lauren wins the Power of Veto. This night also be a win for Vince, unless Rachel has anything to say about it. She begins trailing Lauren closely, determined to stop any conversations about using the veto. Rachel does not want to name a fourth nominee and admits she isnโt sure who it would be.
Vince refuses to give up and works on convincing Lauren to use the veto. Lauren is tempted but fears Rachelโs reaction. When Lauren tests the waters with Rachel, she doesnโt immediately pick up on the subtle cues Rachel is using to discourage her. So Rachel prepares to take a more direct approach.
Later, when Lauren tells Rachel she is seriously considering saving Vince, Rachel gives her a signature silent stare that speaks volumes. Lauren understands the message loud and clear.
Rachel then tells Lauren that she might have to nominate one of her closest allies if Vince is saved. When Lauren confirms she plans to use the veto, Rachel warns her that Rylie will be the replacement. Lauren assumes Rachel is bluffing, but she clearly does not know Rachel Reilly very well.
At the veto meeting, Lauren removes Vince from the block. Rachel goes old-school and follows through on her warning and names Rylie as the replacement nominee. She tells us she’s no longer playing scared. I never thought she was in the first place. But welcome back, Rachel Reilly.
