Big Brother 27 Episode 19 Recap: Final Girl Rachel Reilly

If Rachel Reilly ever ended up in a horror movie, Iโ€™d bet everything on her being the Final Girl. So it was no surprise when she emerged as the sole survivor of this weekโ€™s slasher-themed Head of Household competition.

Sundayโ€™s episode picks up after Zachโ€™s eviction. Morgan and Vince are acting like someone just died. Laurenโ€™s upset too, but sheโ€™s handling it better than the other two.

Mickey pretends to be sad about Zach leaving, but her focus quickly shifts, first to targeting Keanu, then Rachel, then back to Keanuโ€ฆ and then Rachel again. She tells Ashley, Morgan, and Will that both Rachel and Keanu need to hit the block. But Will and Ashley arenโ€™t on board because they donโ€™t see Rachel as a threat.

Rachel, naturally, picks up on the shift in energy. Ava quietly validates her suspicions, and Rachel knows that if she doesnโ€™t win HOH this week, sheโ€™s likely going home.

Keanu thinks he and Rachel might be in a decent middle spot, but Rachel quickly shuts that down. Theyโ€™re on the outs, and she knows it. She makes it clear: she has to win HOH.

And then, itโ€™s game time.

This weekโ€™s HOH competition has a slasher film theme. The houseguests don 1980s prom attire and enter a murderous after-prom party. Each player gets five minutes to study a house setup, memorizing as much as they can. In each round, theyโ€™re given clues about which room is safe. Pick correctly, and you move on. Pick wrong, and youโ€™re slashed.

In Round 1, Lauren, Katherine, Keanu, Vince, Ashley, and Rylie are all eliminated. In the second round, Mickey and Will are out. That leaves Morgan, Rachel, and Kelley.

Kelley is next to fall, leaving just Morgan and Rachel. And in true Final Girl fashion, Rachel wins! She is the new Head of Household.

Mickey, Morgan, and Vince are already visibly nervous. Rachel clocks their lack of enthusiasm over her win.

Ashley, Rachelโ€™s closest ally, is still tight with Mickey and tries to subtly steer Rachel away from targeting her. Later, Vince attempts to smooth things over with Rachel, but she shuts him down cold. He knows heโ€™s in trouble.

Realizing she needs numbers to pull off a big move, Rachel works on Kelley, who seems open to teaming up. But then Mickey checks in with Rachelโ€”and things get messy.

Rachel confronts Mickey about feeling betrayed over the Jimmy vote. Mickey insists she thought it was a move that benefited them both. Running low on defenses, Mickey reveals that Kelley told her Rachel had said Mickey was icing her out.

Naturally, Rachel confronts Kelley, who apologizes. Rachelโ€™s left unsure who to trustโ€”Mickeyโ€™s telling the truth, but Kelley had seemed like a new ally. Now, Rachelโ€™s second-guessing everything.

But enough second-guessing. At the nomination ceremony, Rachel follows her instincts and puts Vince, Morgan, and Mickey on the block.
