It might not rain that often in Southern California, but the Big Brother 26 was flooded in this episode from all the tears. I haven’t seen so many tears since Capy was evicted in Big Brother 6. And all because Joseph was evicted? I dont’t even think I know why half of those people were crying.
Sunday night’s episode picks up after Joseph’s eviction and the houseguests learning that they have officially made it to jury. And there are a lot of tears. Makensy is in tears letting us know she changed her vote because of Kimo’s speech. And Leah is in tears because she feels responsible for Joseph’s eviction. Quinn is in tears because his second HOH was a huge flop and he sent home a second ally he had a final two deal with.
And Angela is in tears, though fake as ever, because she knows she voted on the wrong side so she lets Kimo know she didn’t think she had the numbers to keep him. Kimo isn’t falling for it, but I think it actually was true. She just didn’t know Makensy and Chelsie would be voting to keep Kimo.
And speaking of the votes, Chelsie get sto work to smooth things over with Cam because he was fully expecting her to vote to keep Joseph and didn’t tell him she was planning on flipping. She and Makensy swear that they both decided there in the moment to change their vote all based on Kimo’s eviction speech. Regardless, Cam is not too thrilled with Chelsie.
It’s time for the HOH competition. And it’s a Before or After competition based on a series of videos they were shown, some of which included second-evicted houseguest Lisa.
And then at the end of the game, there’s a tie between Makensy, Kimo, Cam and Chelsie. So they are going to a tie-breaker question.
And Chelsie wins the tie-breaker question and is the new Head of Household (because everyone but Chelsie went over)!
Chelsie is ready to figure out her nominee, so it’s time for her to have one-on-ones with houseguests. She lets Angela know that she will probably go up because there are “slim pickings.” Angela calls her out and says “not really.” Angela says she’s been up week after week so Chelsie could go against the grain.
So she’s going to go with Angela and also probably Kimo. She says Kimo would be a true pawn and no one, even Kimo, protests this. So there should be no surprises at the nomination ceremony.
Unless Chelsie decides to go with Leah as a nominee because she does not trust Cam to pikc her over Leah or even Makensy. She has a conversation with Cam about that and he tells her that she is way off there, but Chelsie isn’t so sure. She says she knows she can trust him but only up until the point he has to choose between her and Leah or Makensy.
So let’s get to the nomination ceremony and see which route Chelsie goes. She decides to nominate Angela and Kimo, but lets us know that if the veto is used once again, she will be forced to consider Leah as a replacement nominee option.
