We don’t know what this means for the Feeds yet or how long they’ll be done. It’s possible Feeds could be down Thursday to Sunday night, but geez let’s hope now.

Mark your calendars because CBS just pulled a switcharoo on the Big Brother 24 schedule with Week 2’s upcoming eviction night. Instead of Thursday at 9/8c, we’ll be watching the next eviction play out on Friday at 8/7c and that raises a few questions of its own.

First up, CBS is making the schedule change because they will instead be running coverage of the Congressional hearing on the events of January 6th. With that taking priority, the Big Brother eviction episode will get bumped one day to Friday night instead.

So here’s the question: what will production do to handle this change? Big Brother could either give the HGs an extra day to lounge around or instead, and this is what seems more likely to me, production could go ahead and film the eviction show on Thursday night to be aired on Friday night in not-so-live fashion. The advantage to this method would be it keeps everything on the usual schedule for production with eviction on Thursday, new HOH that night, and then nominations on Friday with Veto on Saturday. If they bump the first domino off by a day then everything has to move with it. Hassle.

The downside here is if everything does stay on track but the eviction gets aired a day later then watch for our Live Feeds to go dark on Thursday afternoon, as they usually would, but then not come back until Friday night. At that point, it becomes a question of whether the Feeds return after the east or west broadcasts are completed. I’d hope for the earlier of course so we get our Feeds back sooner, but CBS likes to pretend the folks out west don’t peek at the results from the earlier east broadcast.

Should Feeds stay down until Friday night then we’ll suddenly get a rush of Big Brother spoilers with the HOH comp and nominations from Friday setting us up for the Veto comp to follow the next day. It’ll be a lot at once and what I’m expecting at this point. “But first,” we’ll watch and see when CBS makes the announcement on their plans for the Feeds.
