Big Brother 23: The Cookout Makes History, Now Must Turn On Each Other

Last night on Big Brother 23, Claire and Alyssa went out in the double eviction, leaving The Cookout as the Final 6.

Mission accomplished.

Tiffany, Hannah, Azah, Xavier, Kyland and Derek F made show history by making it to the Final 6, and one of them will make history again as the first black winner of Big Brother US. They can also claim the title of the most successful alliance in the show’s history, having formed week one and all its members making it to the end of the game. They had their ups and downs throughout the season, but to make it fully intact to the end is unheard of. People can argue there are better alliances in the show’s history, but you can’t argue against The Cookout being the most successful.

And now we get to see what happens when they are forced to turn on each other, starting today. Spoiler alert: Kyland won the Head of Household competition last night, and is making his nominations today. His plan is go for Hannah and Tiffany, with Tiffany as the target. It seems that a week ago or so when he told us in his Diary Room session that Tiffany was his true final 2, he was either lying or has since changed his mind. During camera talks last night, he revealed to us that he wants to sit next to Xavier in the the Final 2, which I think is the same thing as saying “I want to lose Big Brother.”

Xavier has claimed to Kyland, that he too is in it with him until the end. But we don’t know if those are really Xavier’s plans or not. I think Xavier would rather sit next to Derek or Azah, who he finds to be much easier to beat.

It would be much smarter to just target Xavier and work with Hannah and Tiffany, but Kyland seems to have something to prove by wanting to go to the end with Xavier. So it’s not looking good for The Cookout women. Even if Tiffany or Hannah win the veto this week, it looks like one of them will be going out. And that makes me sad because I think Tiffany and Hannah have played a much better game than the Cookout men, and have been far more dedicated to the alliance than they have.

At this point, I can only hope Azah gets to the end and claims she’s been playing a Jun Song or Dr. Will game and convinces the jury to vote for her. Maybe if she’s sitting next to Derek F, she could win. But let’s be real, this has been Xavier’s game to win for a long time now, and Kyland is seemingly going to make sure that happens.

So my prediction from here on out would go something like this:

Tiffany and Hannah go out in the next double eviction, and then Xavier turns on Kyland, leaving the Final 3 as Xavier, Azah and Derek. And then Xavier wins out to the end and picks Azah or Derek to sit next to. And then Xavier wins.

What do you think will happen now that The Cookout must turn on each other? And who do you think will win Big Brother 23?
