Big Brother 22 Jury Kicks Off This Week

Dr Will Kirby hosts Big Brother Jury roundtable

The Big Brother 22 Jury kicks off this week with Thursday’s eviction vote featuring nominees Ian Terry and Tyler Crispen, one former winner and a runner-up, with one of the pair leaving the house to await their finale night appearance on October 28th. In the meantime, as the first evictee, whoever it will be, will have a lot of waiting to do over the next six weeks.

This All-Stars season launched with sixteen Houseguests and now we have seen five head home with Keesha, Nicole A, Janelle, Kaysar, and Bayleigh. All five have arrived back home with obviously no Battle Back for Season 22 as we previously thought possible. Instead, those five will be keeping us entertained while the Jury of 9 will stew over their missed opportunity. Or at least we expect there to be nine of them.

Over the past few days we’ve heard a lot of griping between both Ian and Tyler who complained that they didn’t want to sit in Jury and if they both walked away then the Jury voting would remain an odd number and no need to hold an “America’s Vote” for the missing Juror. Thankfully it seems that talk has quieted down and I expect both of those Houseguests to stick around thanks at least in part to the fear of losing their big paycheck.

We’ve heard for awhile now that each of these HGs received $40K just for showing up this season, making Keesha the highest paid per diem HG of the season. Then for those who made Jury they earned another $12K for a grand total of $52K. Not a bad three months’ earning for most of them. As Ian noted recently, that’s basically second place money they’re looking at. True.

So while the Jurors will have missed out on the $500,000 prize money they’re still getting paid a good bit and hopefully that’s enough to hold back any sore losing attitudes on walking away from the Big Brother 22 Jury House!

Who do you think will be the first Juror on BB22? Cast your vote now in our poll below and check Branden’s breakdown on the votes so far. Then for a bigger prediction, which two HGs do you think will face off before this Jury? Now that’s the tougher call!

Side note: We have no idea if Dr. Will is going to host this season’s Jury round table (remotely, if anything) but we can always dream.
