Big Brother 22 Episode 12 Recap: Veto Finally Gets Used

The most interesting thing to note about Wednesday night’s episode of Big Brother 22 is that the Power of Veto has finally been used after four weeks. That means Enzo had to figure out who to put up as the replacement nominee, and he had a few options to consider.

The episode picks up right after the nomination ceremony we saw on Sunday night. Enzo lets us know that Kaysar is target No. 1 and Kevin is purely a pawn. Kaysar lets us know that he’s not surprised he’s up because there’s a group in the house acting like a mob. Kevin, whiny and mopey as always, is surprised why he’s up on the block. Enzo lets him know it’s because everyone likes him and there’d be no way he would go home.

After some really terrible filler, we get to find out who is joining Enzo, Kaysar and Kevin in the veto competition. At the veto draw, Tyler, Bayleigh and David (via Kevin’s houseguests choice) are chosen to play.

There’s not much else going on in this episode so let’s get to the Power of Veto competition. For some reason, this week’s veto comp is more like a Head of Household competition. It’s an endurance competition designed like a puppet master game. The players have to balance on some strings, and the last person standing wins the veto.

Kaysar is the first one out of the competition. He falls after around 12 minutes. Enzo is out next at around 18 minutes. After 27 minutes, Tyler drops. Bayleigh drops after 33 minutes. That leaves Kevin and David. And after a bit more time, David drops and Kevin wins the Power of Veto.

So now the question is, who is Enzo going to name as a replacement nominee. There’s some talk about putting Ian up there because he’s so smart and has won the game before. Of course Nicole doesn’t want Ian to go up because if he goes home, that means she’s the only winner in the house.

Christmas volunteers to go up as a pawn. She thinks it’s a safe bet since Kaysar is such a large target. She also thinks it would be a good way to throw people off that she’s working with Enzo. So Enzo has two option. And then Dani gives him a third – herself.

Dani is talking to Tyler and Nicole and has a bit of a slip up. She tells Tyler in front of Nicole that “they” (Bayleigh and Da’Vonne) want to have a meeting. Tyler is confused because Nicole isn’t in that alliance. A little later, Tyler tells Enzo what happened and says he should just backdoor Dani right now. So now Enzo has three options. But we know this is just editing to build some suspense. Let’s get to the end of this episode and find out.

At the veto ceremony, Kevin uses the veto on himself and Enzo names Christmas as the replacement nominee. The final nominees are Christmas and Kaysar. And it’s pretty clear that Kaysar will be heading home this week.
