Speaking with Gold Derby, Grodner explained what will make this 20th season of the series special and from what she says it sure won’t be because of any familiar faces in the next round of Houseguests:
It’s going to be a big season. We have a lot planned for this season. I think there are certain expectations from our fans that it’ll be an All-Stars season and all of that and I think we’ve pretty much put that to rest. This will be a brand new cast.
We are in casting right now. We are really excited about completely revamping this house. Wait till you see it. It’s a whole new thing. It’s spectacular. We are really excited about some new an innovative twists that will help commemorate this twentieth season.
Well, I’m thrilled. Earlier today I mentioned my preference for no returning players so this news delivers for me. The original All-Stars season (BB7) was amazing, but since then in recent years we’ve seen production go back to that well too many times with peppering of returning players to the point that I don’t want to see some earlier favorites for the third time anymore. New players, new game.
As for the Big Brother 20 gameplay, it sounds like we’re going to have some big twists so watch for plenty of opportunities to have that blow up in the game’s face, but isn’t that all part of the fun too?
I can’t wait to see the new house design, but I won’t get myself too excited about this “completely revamping” comment since they never really seem to change the house layout too much. It’d be pretty great if they did though. What design or layout changes to the Big Brother house would you make if you were in charge?
So no All-Stars for Big Brother 20. Are you relieved or disappointed? We’ll find out more about the BB20 cast in the next two months so keep with us for all the latest.
