Big Brother 20 Episode 15 Recap: Bayleigh Takes The HOH Crown

Bayleigh became the new Big Brother 20 Head of Household during Sunday night’s episode, and quickly picked up a serious case of HOHitis.

Queen Bay demanded loyalty from almost everyone in the house as she held court in the HOH room, dolling out commands left and right. It was pretty entertaining to watch until you realized that she was also kind of tanking her game in the process.

The episode picked up right after Kaitlyn failed to complete the puzzle to return to the game. Rockstar and her weird DR voice are happy. Faysal is happy. Tyler is sad, but he’s too focused on that stray vote to really miss Kaitlyn. So he gets to work convincing people that vote wasn’t him.

Speaking of the vote, JC admits that he did it to cause drama and paranoia, but doesn’t want it blamed on Tyler. That was stupid, JC, because it’s of course people would think it was Tyler who voted to keep Kaitlyn. Tyler tells the whole house at once that it wasn’t him who voted out Rockstar. Level 6 starts suspecting Scottie and that thought starts to spread throughout the house as a fact.

It’s time for the HOH competition. The competition is called “Perfect Timing”  and they have to sit on a rolling platform that looks like an email letter and slide from one end to the other. The goal is to get from start to finish in 8 seconds. The player who gets to the finish line closest to 8 seconds will be the new HOH.

Bayleigh is up first and gets 8.08. Tyler is up next and gets 10.98. Haleigh is next and gets 8.50. Brett follows Haleigh and gets 10.00. JC gets 8.48. Rockstar is next and gets 6.58. Angela follows and gets 8.71. Kaycee is next up and she finishes in 7.66. Scottie finishes way too soon at under 6 seconds. Faysal was next to last up and goes even faster at 4 seconds. Rachel is last up and she gets a time of 10.04. Bayleigh is the new Head of Household!

Tyler gets to work on Bayleigh and she asks him to be loyal to her and he promises to give that to her. So she decides that he’s wounded and a free agent so she’s not going to touch him this week.

Bayleigh then starts trying to figure out her targets. She asks Scottie if he was the rogue vote. He says absolutely not. He says he thinks it could be Rachel. She tells him that he needs to be on Team Bay, demanding loyalty from him. He agrees so she tells us she thinks she’s going to let Scottie be for a bit and save him for later. Then she moves on to JC and demands loyalty from him. JC isn’t as forthcoming and JC is considering using him as a pawn, if not an actual target.

Faysal goes to Bayelgh and express how he doesn’t want JC going up and Bayleigh kind of flips out. She and Haleigh threaten him and make sure he’s Team Bay and Team Hay and not Team JC.

And as if she hasn’t made herself a big enough target after this week already, Bayleigh spills the secret about her Identity Theft power to Rachel. She then tells her she’s going to use her as a pawn. That was a pretty silly decision on her part. Why would you tell someone you have a power and then immediately nominate them for eviction. That was just a bad, bad move.

At the nomination ceremony Bayleigh goes with the nominations of Brett and Rachel. She tells Brett she nominated him because he’s the easiest one to put up and gets the least amount of blood on her hands. She tells Rachel was just a pawn, basically.

So in summary, Bayleigh spent about 24 hours demanding loyalty from people and then revealing her entire game to a member of her opposing alliance.
