Big Brother 20: The Best and Worst Of Week 10

I’d love to pretend like this past week of Big Brother 20 was exciting, but we all know that just wasn’t the case. And that’s OK, because Big Brother 20 gave us 9 weeks of greatness, so it’s OK to have a week or two of calm before we reach the climax of the season. But be warned, you’re going to see a lot of thumbs down this week.

Let’s take a look at the highs and lows of the past week.

The Best and Worst of Big Brother 20 Week 10

Thumbs Up: Haleigh Vs. Tyler HOH. It was nice to get to watch the week 10 Head of Household competition play out on the Live Feeds. It was also nice to see Haleigh give Tyler a run for his money by nearly outlasting him in the grueling endurance battler. And technically, she might have … read on …

Thumbs Down: Tyler’s HOH Win. I’m not giving Tyler as HOH the thumbs down, but actually the fact that I’m pretty sure Tyler broke the rules and was still awarded HOH. At one point Tyler very clearly almost falls off, so he grabs the rope high and hoists himself up off his disc. He then lets his feet fall below the disc before finally getting his feet back on the disc. According to the rules the HGs said they were told before the comp started, Tyler should have been eliminated. Apparently they were told their feet had to stay on the disc. Tyler even talked about this after his win. So that was kind of a bummer that he probably should have been DQ’d but wasn’t

Thumbs Up: JC Is A Have-Not. BB decided that the have-nots this week would be the first three people out of the HOH comp, meaning JC would be a have-not since he was first out. They also gave the HGs booze several times this week, which made JC very unhappy because he couldn’t drink as a have-not. JC thinks production did all that to spite him and I kind of think he’s right. I mean it’s the least they can do to punish his bad behavior since they’ve refused to remove him from the game.

Thumbs Up: Kaycee. For weeks I was pretty natural bordering on dislike when it came to Kaycee. But she has really woken up the past few weeks, winning two vetoes and Thursday’s HOH for Week 11. I think the fact that she’s gathering some competition wins on her resume to go along with a really good social game, Kaycee could be an actual contender to win this season of Big Brother.

Thumbs Down: Showmance Alert. I thought we were done with showmances after Swaggy left, but they like to force them on us. So now that Faysal is gone they’re focusing on Tyler and Angela. And I’m just really over it. I don’t know why they think we have to have a shomance or five every season. Not a fan.

Thumbs Down: Scottie. I thought Scottie winning the Battle Back could actually switch things up here close to the end, but he flopped harder the second time around more than the first. He spent the week in the house saying weird stuff, revealing things about the jury house that did nothing for his game and then broke every rule they’re told to follow for live shows during his eviction speech. It was just such a spastic week for him and I expected more from a fan of the show.

Thumbs Down: Derrick Stops By. This thumbs down isn’t exactly for Derrick, but more for the show not making more out of the 20th season of Big Brother. They should’ve had a different winner stop by every week. I don’t know I just feel like they have really wasted this landmark season on the same old themes and twists of the past several seasons. Just kind of bummed.

Thumbs Down: Week 10. Sorry to be so negative after singing BB20’s praises all season. I think the fact that I have fallen in love with Big Brother all over again because of this season is why I was so bothered by how boring this week was. I’m looking forward to what happens the week following this one. That’s when Level 6 is going to have to turn on each other, so we should have a lot of fun then.

What did you think of Big Brother 20 Week 10?
