‘Big Brother 19’ Blindside Will Redraw Alliances, Again

The last time we had a solid blindside on Big Brother 19 was the week where Cody and Jessica thought for sure they knew who was going home, didn’t bother to double check the votes, sat quietly while the house worked against them, and then got a huge shock on Thursday night. What a relief that we won’t see that happen again, right? Oops.

Update: Well forget the blindside! Kevin ruined our fun on that one. Check the report for details.

Mark Jansen will have to pick a side on BB19

Right now we’ve got Ramses and Josh on the Block. Josh is the target for Jessica and Cody, but most of the rest of the house have lined up to vote out Ramses. Cody and Jessica still don’t know and they aren’t alone.

Likely to join the jaw-dropped group this week will be Mark and Elena who have been on the outside of the circle planning this surprise vote. Elena has been promising Jessica the votes are there which has been dutifully carried back to Cody for an echo chamber effect of confirmation.

So what happens on Thursday? Well the blindside would just be a cherry on top for the viewers with all the drama involved, but the alliances will definitely be redefined for those still in the dark about it.

After Week 1’s blindside we saw Jessica and Cody widely isolated with the rest of the house moving away from them, including Mark and Elena. When Cody returned to the game last week and Jessica won HoH we suddenly saw Mark singing a new tune about Cody. He was quickly so excited to see the guy back in the game. Elena was along for the ride and has been catching up more and more with Jessica and Cody since then.

The silent majority has taken notice of Mark and Elena’s behavior and it’s put them in a bad spot. Paul, Christmas, Alex, and all the rest made sure not to tell Mark and Elena about this blindside plan against Cody and Jessica. Instead they’ve let the other showmance slide away and prepared to target them in parallel to the outgoing HoH team.

Yesterday Paul told Matthew and Raven how Mark was talking about his dislike for their showmance. The group agreed that Elena was the brains for Mark and she would need to go first. Paul is working hard to make sure the two sides are pumped to go after each other.

Just this morning Paul and Jason discussed their plan for dealing with the four outsiders. Should either of them get HoH the strategy would be to pit the two showmances against each other by putting up Cody and Elena so each of their partners would have to be drawn in to the fight as well. Not a bad plan.

At this point we already know those four are going to be left in the lurch after Thursday night, but they’ll have to scramble to catch up as the other side of the house has had days to plan this move against them. Of course with the house playing, what, 8 against 3 in the next HoH those sort of odds look good for the majority but this is Big Brother and we know how that tends to go. Not to mention Jessica still has that Halting Hex that could return the blindside favor nicely for their side.

What do you think will happen for the two sides of the Big Brother 19 house next week? Who is going to take charge and who could end up the target next? Share your thoughts below.

  1. Last night, Elena voiced her suspicion that Ramses may not be as safe as they first thought. If she and Jessica and Cody all had a serious conversation about it, they may figure out what’s happening. The question is whether it’s already too late to do something about it.

    • I’m not sure there’s anything they could do at this point. They’d have to convince at least 2 other people to vote Josh out. Mark, Cody and Elena would vote out Josh so they’d need a couple more and that would force a tie. But who on earth would even consider it? Jessica may have to use her HH as an advantage. Maybe telling a couple of people she’ll divulge what it is to them if they vote to keep Ramses? I don’t know.

      • I know, she totally blew it, plus she listened to Cody when he said that she shouldn’t use the veto and leave the noms the same. Too bad you didn;t listen to your gut Jess.

      • Cody Likes Alex.. wants her in the house.. But I bet if Jess said she was going to pull Ramses off and name anyone else but Alex he would have gone for it!

    • By the way, I would LOVE to see the tables turned on Josh and see his face when he’s evicted. I sure do hope this turns around for Jessica. It has nothing to do with her but all to do with how much I do not like Josh.

      • I can’t stand him either but he can go next week. Ramses is boring. And besides I can’t wait to see a good blindside. Lol

      • I can’t stand him he needs to go home he whines worse then my grandsons do and there little ………… smh

      • I feel the same way I think he is being very disrespectful to everyone about the comments he make. What if they did that to him. HE would run crying. Please let him go home

    • Honestly it IS too late.
Jess could’ve nominated Paul or one of his minions if Josh was her intended target.
But alas she listened to her boy toy and not her brain. Then again she left it in the toilet when said boy toy came back.

I may not like Jess, but she had a lot of potential for good gameplay. She proved she was good at comps but it turns out her strategy is more of getting Cody to like her rather than win a half mill

  2. What might be very curious is how this whole thing was masterminded is viewed by some of the quieter people in the big group, at least this week. Because Christmas has been mostly on Josh duty, I’ll include her in the mix but Kevin and Alex have also been just been agreeing to vote. This may be where the divide starts to happen in the bigger group. And it will be curious if any of the three can even recognize the dynamics of the big group, like will Jessica be blinded by her hatred of Alex (I know its mutual), will Cody be so obsessed with Paul he doesn’t see the risks of others, or will Mark just be so upset he just doesn’t want anyone mad at him. Will any of them realize that Josh is basically like their pet and he just needs an active new buddy to feed him and as long as you don’t mention Christmas or Jason and probably Alex to him, he’ll be all for going after people. Will they notice that going after Kevin is somewhat like going after Dominique, you take out a connector piece. Probably not and they just go after Josh and then, like its two weeks ago, name Jason and the group will cut their losses with Josh.

  3. I don’t understand how this group doesn’t process things.

Cody alienated himself after his HoH week, then comes back and does the same.

Mark gets heat for attaching himself to sinking ships (Cody, Dominique, and now Cody again).

Josh always wants to confront people, although he KNOWS that doesn’t end well.

Christmas continues to stir the pot with the vote (first with the Cody vote, and now telling Ramses he isn’t truly safe.

Elena keeps allowing her showmance to run around unchecked, although that has continued to keep him (and now both of them) in hot water.

Paul says he wants to play a low-profile game, although he is continually planting seed bombs all over the house (one errant convo and he is Da’ Vonne 2.0).

Jason seems to have a new #1 enemy in the game on a weekly basis, and seems to undergo a seismic shift in personality toward people just as often (Matt is his new target — enough said).

Matt doesn’t seem aware that there are laundry machines in the backyard.

Raven doesn’t process that EVERYONE has heard about her illness, some to the point that they wonder if she is telling the truth.

Ramses is just too happy being in the BB house to properly campaign — WHILE ON THE BLOCK.

Jessica doesn’t seem to get that Ramses doesn’t have enough friends to qualify as a pawn.

Alex seems to flip between wanting the couple out and wanting to work with them every week, depending on who is HoH — as in, she legitimately changes her entire mindset, not just kisses to HoH’s butt with false promises.

Kevin seems to think that being funny and telling stories (and not channeling his inner mob boss) is going to win him money.

Will anyone here ever learn, or will history repeat itself/cycle onto itself every week? #BBInfinity

    • When has Alex kissed the HOH’s butt? She hasn’t been up to the room once.

    • Yeah i agree with them all except Alex. Alex’s biggest fault is her unwavering trust of Paul, she thinks there’s no way he’d go back on his word for some reason. She’s even stated that she wants to go to the final two with him before…. She’s in for a big surprise when Paul decides he’s had enough of her lol. Other than that mistake though, Alex ain’t bad honestly. She is just wishy washy and hard to read, at this point I don’t think she’ll ever take a shot at Paul, but I could be wrong

  4. People better watch out for Kevin I can almost bet that he will vote Josh. He’s sneaky

  5. Halting hex is valid for 4weeks right? So if Jessica didn’t use it last week and she won’t use it this week then she only has 2more weeks to use it. Kinda confused why everyone is saying she has 3more weeks with it

    • They’re not saying that. They’re saying they’re basically safe for 3 weeks, as they’re safe this week, if they get nominated next week they’ll be safe, and then they have another week to try and save themselves

      • Jessica can only use the Hex once in any of 4 ( concurrent) evictions. She has already passed 1 eviction..tomorrow nite will make the 2nd eviction…She has 2 evictions left in which to use it if she chooses…If she thinks that because she is HOH she gets a free pass in using it she is wrong…..It does not work that way..

    • This is the 2nd week the Hex is in play… The…She has 2 more evictions in which to use it..

    • She’s lying and telling them it has way more power and longevity than it does trying to scare them

  6. I don’t trust Christmas anymore either, don’t trust Kevin either but have to admit he is funny as all get go.

      • Yes he is. This halting hex and whatever Christmas has, has me so confused, what say you?

      • Christmas can replace a player in the veto comp if she doesn’t get picked. She hasn’t had to use it because she’s been picked. She has all season to use it but can only use it once. Jessica gets to stop an eviction but before the vote. It was for 4 weeks this is week 2. So she has two more weeks to use it if she needs to.

      • When the writer said she can stop the blindside if she chooses confused me. She wouldn’t do that because she doesn’t know. Maybe he meant if she found out ahead of time.

      • Yes. But even if she did find out, I doubt she would waste her HH on Ramses. It’s good for another 2 weeks, she better keep it in case she need it to save herself or Cody.

      • If she does that, I don’t know what to say…tbat will be beyond dumb. Hope she is that dumb though.

  7. I was watching BBAD….Cody was laying on the patio furniture and Jessica was squatting on his crotch kissing him. If anyone was watching that, PLEASE tell me what I heard. :) I thought Jessica whispered to Cody that she told some of the house guests about the HH….and BB came over the speaker and told what actually it was. She was telling Cody that she didn’t know they were going to spill all the details. BB then did announce to stop talking about production. Was she saying she had a dream this happened or did it really? I confused myself. Thank you!

    • Go to online big brother. They have the convos verbatim. She was saying she had a dream about basically how things really turned out in real life. She cant lie about the hh. She dreamed that.

      • But she did lie to Kevin about it before that, right, and she was told she could not do that. Did I dream that?

      • She did. She was trying to tell Cody production said she cant lie about it. Kevin is why they called her to the DR to tell her she can’t tell people what she told kevin

      • but why was Paul allowed to tell people he had an extra week of safety because of his HoH?

      • He didn’t to my knowledge…The 1st week of his safety Cody nommed him and he had to reveal the DOT award…Paul had 2 more safe evictions Jillians and Codys..His safety has ended..

      • He said that? I didn’t catch that. Besides, I thought production revealed his DOT to the entire house after it was activated. I don’t see how he could then lie about it later.

  8. So Jeszibel told Paul that Josh told her that he has been acting the way he has because someone told him to. She wouldn’t tell Paul who that someone is. She said Josh also said that Paul put him up to exploding at the veto ceremony, which, of course Paul denied. She might be telling the truth, anyone know? I know Paul prodded him to act out at the veto, but did Josh really tell Jeszibel that? You know her sole purpose in telling Paul is because she is concerned about the vote and she is trying to ensure Paul votes for Josh. She’s playing..a little too late, though.

    • WHAT?? that’s huge! Paul isnt falling for that is he? And yes he did tell him to do that. I wonder who told her that? Had to be Mark. Omg we may be about to witness another Paul call out. Smh . if that happens, the blindside is going to fall apart

      • I’ve been watching Jokers to see if Paul asks Josh about it. I don’t think anything will come of it. Paul knows what she is trying to do, I’m sure. I don’t think he will let it affect anything. I’m just wondering if Josh really told her that or is she lying?

      • To my knowledge Jess & Josh have only talked once in the last week and unless I missed something the conversation pertained to family not game play….Anybody else see/hear the conversation???

      • Oh wait, i panicked and read that wrong. She told Paul, Josh said someone put him up to acting but josh didn’t tell her who. Right?

      • She said Josh told her who it was that told him to act the way he has been acting, but she wouldn’t tell Paul who Josh named. But she did say Josh named Paul as the person that told him to explode at the veto.

      • Get the F out! Lil bish! I hope Paul don’t take that bait. If he goes to ask josh, he is going to panic and flip the F out.

      • I kind of hope he doesn’t say anything to Josh about it before eviction because you are correct, Josh will probably freak.

      • Paul knows how Josh is, and he knows Jeszibel is trying to play him. I think/hope he will hold on that info.

    • Sadly you are right, too little too late. I don’t see the house changing and voting out Josh. A girl can dream but highly doubtful! It sucks!

As for Jessica telling Paul that Josh told her that, I don’t know if it’s true but if it’s not, get on her for being deceitful LOL although I again, too little too late however, it could make Paul not trust Josh. He already knows Josh is a wildcard when it comes to being explosive.
I don’t think Josh would have told her that, he would be stupid to do that but then again, he is stupid LOL 😂

  9. Here’s an interesting thought…since Cody and Jessica are starting to see Mark and Elana’s relationship with Paul, how crazy would it be if once Ramses gets evicted, Cody and Jessica blame Elana and Mark for the flip, and Matt and Raven act like the ones who got blindsided? That’d put Matt and Raven in the clear and Mark and Elana under pressure

  10. Could Christmas’s Temptation Ring of Replacement be used to replace, let’s say Ramses, then could let’s say paul be put in? Does the Ring of Replacement let Christmas both replace a nom and put the new one in?

  11. This weeks HOH is 8 against 3. I think the 3 have a decent chance. Cody won the first HOH and was beating Alex in the starfish veto comp when he decided to let her have it. He then won the battle back. Elena was the last to drop off the wall because she made a deal with Alex and let her have HOH. Mark has not fared well in the competitions.

On the other side, Paul won his HOH because the whole house helped him play candy crush. He won the Veto because all the veto players agreed to throw the comp to him so he could backdoor Cody. Alex won HOH because she made a deal with Elena. Alex won the starfish veto because Cody decided to let her have it. Jason won a veto comp straight up. No one else has shown they can compete.

So the players on one side are winning or giving away competitions that they could have won and the other side has 1 straight up win and other wins because the competition was thrown to them. They can’t count on the HOH competition being given to them this week. Should be fun.

  12. Could Christmas use temp Ring of replacement, example replace Ramses with paul . . . and then Jessica use temp of Halting Hex and stop eviction completely? basically, could both temps be used right after the other during same eviction? Just wondering.

    • It’s my understanding that she can not replace a person on the block but she can replace a HG picked to play.

      • Hello my friend :-) is this you??
Yes, that is my understanding also. She cannot replace anyone on the block. And yes, it is also my understanding Jessica has to use her HH before anyone even votes

    • The Ring of replacement can only replace a player picked for the veto with herself. Christmas keeps on being picked for the veto, so she can’t use the ring. She has to be not one of the nominees, not HOH, and not picked for the veto to make her power come into play. It’s kind of a wimpy power.

    • Can only be used to replace a Veto player. There..you have four respondents to your question….where are you? lol

      • I’m out here in la-la land trying to figure out all the twists, turns, and temptations. I did not remember/realize/know that Christmas’s Ring of Replacement was just for veto-players. Ah wait a sec!! AH!! the Ve-Toad!!!
Toad costumes and veto!! got it!!! See only a few weeks late . . . Thanks Cyril. You won’t believe this, but my maternal grandfather’s name was Cyril. Really!! Honest to goodness!!! Cyril Frank C. Born in July 1889, died October 1956.

  13. What will it take for someone to nominate Paul and Christmas for eviction? Last week he held all sorts of mtgs to make sure HIS wishes as hoh were honored and now this is the 2nd time in 4 weeks where he could disrespect the hoh’s wishes. It could be called good game play, but it frustrates me that he gets away with the constant manipulation.

      • Yeah for sure, it is super good game play on Paul’s behalf! All his minions, not so much! I mean I guess they are all sitting pretty but, it’s not gonna last! They are all going to have to turn on each other, so all the minions need to take that into account. Where does each one stand!? How many of them have F2 deals!? Which one of Paul’s minions is Paul and his minions going to turn on first! It’s pathetic to watch! Although, agreed! Great game play on Paul’s behalf

    • It is good game play by Paul. Incredibly frustrating game play to watch in his minions.

      • Yes, that is a true fact and it’s also super frustrating as a fan to watch it!
        💤 💤 💤

  14. I hope Cody and Elana go up next week, Then we’ll see if Jessica uses the HH on Cody or if she keeps it for herself.

  15. Not that it matters, but Josh is totally GAY.

I cant imagine his antics he if had accepted it already, he would be soooo over the top

  16. Kevin did not spill the beans on the blindside in the first eviction, so he is not necessarily James. If he spoils another one, then I’m wrong. I just think he likes (or pities?) Jessica’s. I would say he just wants to be a good side, but she does not have the numbers, but she is a good competitor. I mean, he hasn’t told anyone about her temptation either. I haven’t really been paying attenion to the feeds though.

    • I agree! I am super super happy Kevin told Jessica. I like a good blindside but not when it favours Josh!
I do believe Jessica didn’t fully tell Kevin what her reward was, just that she was the recipient of the temptation. And I do believe Kevin did tell Paul but Paul has his doubts, so she doesn’t think Jessica actually has it. I don’t know, that’s just what I read.
I don’t watch the feeds and I don’t have time to watch BB After Dark, plus I can’t hear anything they’re saying and close captioning doesn’t understand them LOL 😂

      • Jess told Kevin parts of her temptation, she also exaggerated some of those parts. But Kevin has not told anyone, although he has strongly hinted at it. I try my best to keep up with things, because I don’t watch the feeds, just read recaps.

  17. I know that Mark & Elena have grown closer to Cody & Jessica hence pissing off their alliance members (NOT Smart ) however, Jessica & Elena had already gotten “close” after Cody was evicted, right? Raven was having “temper tantrums” about it. She was jealous of their friendship! So why is it such a big deal that Elena has continued her friendship with Jessica? Just because Cody is back, doesn’t mean Jessica & Elena can’t still be friends!? 😳 Unless of course has Elena completely turned her back on everyone else/Raven? Maybe she has grown tired of Raven constantly wanting attention and sympathy and her being funny!

As for Matt, I thought him and Mark were super close? Had a “bromance?” Regardless if Mark is close to Cody again, why would Matt turn his back so quickly on Mark? (Yes, I know Mark was especially pissed Cody was coming back in the house, but things change.)
I understand why the house doesn’t trust Mark anymore, but one would think Matt (especially) wouldn’t be so quick to turn on Mark!? At least friendship wise!? Or has Mark completely turned his back on Matt & always with Cody?
Elena is smart and perhaps she has grown tired of Paul running her game.
Seriously, this whole house is like a bunch of highschooler’s!

  18. kevin is one and maybe they could pull in Matt if he had a backbone Jason maybe dont think so Paul no way ravin a airhead so thereno hope for poor ramsey

    • Sadly I do believe you are right! No hope for the kid! It looks like the “victim-bully, crybaby-arrogant jerk-loser” Josh will survive another week! Gag 🤢

  19. Kevin has keeps his mouth shut and when he wants things to slip out he does it so craftily no one notices or even thinks he is playing them all. I want Kevin to go so the game becomes open

    • Becomes open? Sorry, just not quite sure what you mean by that. Paul needs to go, or at the very least people need to start playing for themselves! Not let Paul control their every move! What they should do is a rally together and vote out Paul!
I personally am super happy that Kevin told Jessica. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a blindside! But, because I dislike Josh so very much, I am very happy that he now cannot blindside anyone! He doesn’t deserve it, he shouldn’t even be in the game. He is just a black cloud! A victim yet a bully, a crybaby yet arrogant, says ALL THE TIME “I really respect you” but he doesn’t!.
He is officially my #1 disliked HG EVER!!!! 19 seasons & 5 seasons of BB Canada 🇨🇦 & I don’t think I have disliked someone even remotely as close as I dislike Josh! Anyway blah blah :-)

  20. This is the worst season of Big Brother Ever they should just give the money to Paul now!!! Josh needs to go home the house is just a bunch of puppets.

    • Pretty much what I said!
It’s soooo irritating watching and listening to these ‘grown adults’ listen to Paul!
This season started off with a bang! So much drama & everyone going hard from day one! But now it’s just the Paul show!
Plus, Josh is still there! Gag 🤢 “Our Boy” OMG 😲 I cannot begin to explain how much I hate him saying that! I think if Paul knew Josh was saying that in the DR room, he might actually evict him this week LOL just kidding…… looks like this girl is going to have a huge upset tonight 😭 Although it’s not going to be a blindside for me, and thankfully not for Jessica and Cody either! Ha ha I can at least take pleasure in knowing that Josh doesn’t get to blindside Jessica and Cody anymore! I am very happy about that! OK enough said :-)

  21. The picture for this blog reminded me of something……🤔🤔🤔
Everyone always comments about how Cody is emotionless 😐 but look at Mark! LOL this is how he looks 24/7…. Angry! 😾😼
I think Cody just has the “eyes” 👀 (plus the editing of BB production) that makes him look like a Zombie!/Frankenstein 💀🙀
On last night/Wednesday nights episode we sure saw a lot of emotion from Cody when Christmas was telling her NASCAR story.
    He’s alive, he’s alive!! 😮😬😬😲

  22. 2nd Comment… (So my posts are shorter) LOL
I never have time to watch the feeds, occasionally I will watch/listen to BB After Dark in the background. I can never hear them! It drives me crazy. I even use “close captioning” hee hee 😜 But they don’t understand him either LOL OR I have no idea what they’re talking about. Anyway……
I managed to listen to about five minutes of it tonight/Wednesday night……..
WHAT were they talking about in the bathroom? Paul, Josh (gag) 🤢 Jason, Alex, Christmas & I think Raven. Something about “Something being racist?” & Josh (gag) 🤢 Was going to give someone (I think Elena?) sh*t??
Maybe if I was able to keep watching I would have figured it out but I wasn’t so now I’m asking LOL TIA

  23. all the hex will do is stop the eviction.. so Ramses and Josh would still be in the house. Praying one of the 8 win the HOH.. sick of Jessica and Cody getting everything handed to them by production #BBUSIsRigged

  24. Good move. If Cody keeps winning, Kevin will be safe. The blindside may work but in the end Paul’s entire plan will be obvious and the others will form new alliances.
