It’s a new week in the Big Brother 16 house, so let the game talk begin. It didn’t take long after the HOH results were revealed for us to find out who the planned nomination pairs are for the week. There’s still some disagreement on who will nominate whom, but the pairs seem to be solidified. Find out what else happened on the Big Brother feeds last night.
Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Thursday, July 17, 2014:
7:35 PM BBT – Feeds return. HOH comp had already ended. Cody and Frankie won.
7:39 PM BBT – Caleb tells Derrick “We’re golden” because of the HOH outcome.
7:41 PM BBT – Amber and Zach are talking about how close they were to winning HOH. Sounds like Brittany and Jocasta were close, too.
8:45 PM BBT – Derrick says Jocasta and Brittany have to be the targets this week. He says they can’t be up together so the both can’t come down after BOTB.
8:53 PM BBT – Frankie, Derrick and Zach think the nomination pairs should be Brittany-Amber and Jocasta-Victoria.
9:05 PM BBT – Donny asks Brittany about the foil heart she gave Devin. She actually had a pickle wrapped in it. Donny thinks Devin will misunderstand the meaning.
9:16 PM BBT – Brittany is upset and crying. She feels like she’ll be getting nominated this week.
9:30 PM BBT – Jocasta has joined Brittany with the crying. They know they’ll be going up.
10:12 PM BBT – Cody says he can’t put up Amber.
10:14 PM BBT – Cody and Zach are being cocky about making it to finals even though it’s only week 4.
10:17 PM BBT – And just like that, Amber comes in and lays with Cody and says how happy she is he’s HOH. Oops.
10:23 PM BBT – Nicole freaks out over the sleeping situation and makes herself look pretty foolish.
11:01 PM BBT – Frankie has learned what the Team America mission is. He fills Derrick in on it. They think that Amber can count as a physical threat, but they have to convince Donny.
11:37 PM BBT – Derrick and Cody are talking about Brittany and how she’s acting. They agree she’ll go up.
11:46 PM BBT – HOH time! Cody and Frankie get to do their HOH reveal. Cody gets a letter from his mom and dad and Frankie’s letter is from Ariana.
12:00 AM BBT – Have-nots begin feasting.
12:12 AM BBT – Frankie, Cody, Derrick and Zach all together decide the nominations need to be Brittany, Jocasta, Amber and Victoria. Cody’s only issue is hang up is that he won’t nominate Amber.
12:45 AM BBT – Brittany thinks Cody will nominate her because she’s the only girl who doesn’t flirt with him.
1:10 AM BBT – Hayden shares his story that Victoria has been inappropriately cuddling with him. She’s rubbing her arm in to his crotch when they’ve cuddled.
1:30 AM BBT – Team America has its new mission: Physical Threat. They’re going to use Amber as their target and are trying to justify that choice. Well, she did win a physical HoH comp.
2:15 AM BBT – Brittany talking to Frankie. She’s very worried that she’ll be nominated because she doesn’t flirt with Cody enough.
2:49 AM BBT – HGs giving Big Brother Network and its founder Matthew Boyer lots of shout outs. They discuss doing their interviews with BBN preseason. We get Fish after HGs start calling Matt by name as he doesn’t have a release signed.
4:00 AM BBT – The guys agree: Amber, Brittany, Jocasta, and Victoria should be the targets. Frankie will nominate Amber/Jocasta and Cody gets Brittany/Victoria.
4:30 AM BBT – Frankie warns Caleb that Amber will be going up on the block.
So it looks like we have our four nominations for the week even with the Team America twist. We all knew they’d find a way to justify their nomination to that category, but considering Amber did win a physical comp for her HoH it’s not much of a stretch.

Next America’s vote should be. “Did team America complete the last challenge?” I stopped watching last year because of the vile attitudes, but good lord, I hate this voting as a house crap. Some of these wimps are just falling into line, and its stupid, not to mention BORING!
This is the point in the game where it gets a bit stale because of the dominant alliance still in control. And girls wonder why they’re being picked off one by one.
They had there chance when Zach was up. They could have eliminated somebody from that alliance. They also could have saved Devin since he is a comp beast and can help them.
Seriously. They just don’t get it. A guy is going to win this season plain and simple. These girls just aren’t playing smart.
Agree.. A guy will definitely win BB16. At this rate I can see either Derrick, Cody or Hayden winning.. I feel like none of the girls are willing to do anything at this point and they are getting picked off 1 by 1 instead of doing something. Reasons why I wish Joey didn’t leave. She would have definitely done something..
Actually with THESE girls they’ll probably start wondering as the last one marches out of the house.

Hahaha. Friendship versus Sov 6. It was real fun watching their tug-of-war while I was watching past episodes of BB6 on Youtube.
Unfortunately, half the house are too stupid to form their own alliance to counter the dominant one.
To be fair, before calling all the house guests stupid, it is important to remember this is only the 4th week. There is still a long way to go. All it takes is one wrong word said or one person winning a competition when they aren’t supposed to and this whole house changes.
The outsiders needs to band together. They are making way too many stupid moves (i.e. evicting Paola over Zach and evicting Devin over Caleb). They are obviously being picked off 1 by 1.
They should have kept Devin. I think he would have worked with them. They will be picked off one by one..they already have a backdoor plan in place for Donny this week.
Agree.. it actually traces back to Paola’s eviction. They should have kept Paola over Zach. Than keep Devin over Caleb. Devin would have DEFINITELY worked with the outsiders.
I think big brother should end the current TEAM AMERICA team and get us to vote on another three house guests for the next 3 tasks. I’m hoping that Donny, Brittany or Amber, and Hayden are the next 3 picks to mix things up just a bit.
I think it would be cool if America would be the ultimate vote of the house no matter how they voted.
I’m a little over this whole “Team America” thing.. Seems to just cause useless drama and the challenges are not all that interesting.
Maybe they could change it up a bit and vote a different houseguest each week to complete a task..
Agree. Frankie basically did nothing the last time. He put the idea out there but Derrick and Donny did all of the work. I don’t like Team America and I also don’t like BotB when they are thrown intentionally.
I hope BOTB stays on once they get to jury, at least when they’re still enough players left. The stronger guys besides Caleb have yet to even take part of just to know how it feels like when their lives in the game can be on the line twice.
That wouldn’t work. 2 houseguests would just switch off every week. Besides, I’m happy seeing Donny win extra money.
Alliances can shift but, the women are more concerned with showmances
and just floating doing nothing! If you get evicted doing nothing, who is to blame for that? Only Nicole has struck alliances with Christine and Hayden. Donny should align himself with Nicole and keep his mouth shut most times! He tends to blab around what he is told! I am okay with Amber or Victoria being evicted this week! They really have done nothing as far as game play is concerned!
Amber is going nowhere because she is a vote for the majority, plus she wants to get in Cody’s pants so bad, she can’t stand it. Personally, I am getting a little tired of “Romeo Cody,” I guess this season if you don’t flirt with Cody, then you are out the door. Christine, who is a married woman, runs her fingers through his hair, scratches and rubs his back and arms, gives him massages..I guess a person will do anything for $500,000.00 Can’t say that I blame them.
At this point, they are all votes for the majority. The only people to vote against the house all season are Donny and Jacosta.
They better not get paid for “Amber”. A physical threat? Give me a break. We all know who America had in mind when they chose “physical threat” and it sure as hell wasn’t Amber. I truly hope DR corrects their assumption.
You can’t really say who a “physical threat” is as this point. Amber won a physical HOH, came close to winning that first HOH too then threw it. Frankie won the first and then this one. Caleb wont the first, but not much else. And we have yet to see Zach win anything. Donny should be the “threat” he’s won 2 vetos and a BOTB already. Physical isn’t just about being bigger than the rest.
This happens every year…when are you girls actually goin to follow through with an all girls alliance?? if they just have 1 or 2 strong guys they could rock the house up and eliminate all of the guys..there are always more females in the house for it to be accomplished
These women are more concerned about their showmances than
winning that $500,000. One more reason to root they get evicted, one by one! They contribute nothing to the game! Have said it before and will say it again—-all house guests should have to pass an IQ test at a minimum! Fine, get the beautiful gals and handsome guys but, make them take an IQ test at least! Then, we might really get some smart players who really want to win!
I’m a woman and I agree with you. Christine is the smartest by joining the BS and having a second alliance. Nicole is second in smarts because she said in the beginning she needed a strong guy to make it far so she hooked up with Hayden. Their problem is it’s hard for a 3 person alliance. They need Donny (a real comp beast) and maybe 1 other. Not Jocasta or Victoria who can’t win anything. Overall the women this year have been a major disappointment.
As much as the “Bomb Squad” was upset with Devin for bringing in Christine and Amber to the alliance, it was a really smart move. A lot of players are content to be part of an alliance and wait to make a move later in the game. By including 2 girls, Devin effectively made sure that no female alliance will form. He should have played more consistently.
