Power of Veto

This week’s Power of Veto comes with a lot more than just the power to replace a nomination. Thanks to the return of Pandora’s Box on Friday the winner of the Veto will be able to remove both nominees and control the eviction votes. Lots at stake here.

Read on to find out who won and what that means for the game this week.

Big Brother 13 Week 8 Power of Veto results:

  • Rachel won the Veto.

Rachel won the Veto which makes Jordan safe as well. They both will come down off the block due to Pandora’s Box twist. The only options are for Adam and Shelly to go up on the block. Turn on your Live Feeds right now and watch the Newbies sulk.

Since only six HGs remained, everyone played and due to the new twist everyone was paired up. Porsche & Kalia, Adam & Shelly, and Rachel & Jordan.

Sounds like it was an endurance comp. Jordan says she feels bad that she didn’t hang on longer. She told Rachel, “you won.” Rachel responded, “we won.” In the other room Kalia is getting bandaged up.

Adam fell off first. Jordan fell second. Porsche, Kalia, and Shelly fell somewhere in between while Rachel held on the longest. Some sort of endurance competition for sure, possibly hanging from how they’re talking. More info: they had to hang on to dummies, and no, it wasn’t the Regulators.

The Veto ceremony will be held on Monday. Stay close by and we’ll let you know as soon as that happens, but the real action will be the on the Live Feeds (Free Trial).

    • WOW! You just made my night. I had given up watching but now to see Shelly explode will brighten my life. Previously I thought a newbie should win but the only one I think now would be Adam because the girls are all potty mouths the way they have been talking about Rachael (not that she is an angel) but the tacky remarks about abortion, etc made me lose respect for them especially Porshe. After last year with Britney spewing garbage, I thought BB wouldn’t allow that kind of game play this year but it turns out the girls are worse now. Good luck to Rachael and Jordan.

      • BARB I totally agree with you the only ones that I think are at all deserving are Rachel, Jordan and even Adam. Previously sort of would not of been too mad if Kalia would of won but after the two of them made the comments about aborting and hitting Rachel in the stomach and saving her $400 do not think either of them are deserving, and thrilled that Shelly the lying backstabbing cheat stealing snake is going home and I get to go back to watching BB because I had stopped because could not stomach Shelly one minute longer. YAY!!!!!!!!!

      I love jordan but she needs to go, I don’t think she even realizes shes playing a game, She is absent-minded.

      Rachel is wayy too emotional, Shes got an annoying laugh, Wont shut up about brendon.
      She gives vegas a bad rep (Trust me, None of us are like her here)

      Shelly played a good social game(Even if she had to be a total bitch to do so) But she won NOTHING. She needs to at least be able to win a PoV.

      Porsche surprised me, I think she played this game great so far, By Accident.
      She was on the vets side for the time they were in power, And got into a fight with rachel and switched sides RIGHT before the vets lost it all.

      And then, As soon as dani leaves, She wins 2 competitions in a row, After not winning any all season.

      Adam is the biggest idiot in the house. If dick was still here, Adam would be dicks puppet. (Dick puppet sounds really wrong btw) But he isnt, So he decided to follow jeff around instead.

      The sad thing is, Adam is sure to make final 4, Because shelly will go this week. K&P or J&R will control the house next week, And P&K will either get out jordan(which would be the smart thing to do) or rachel(The dumb thing to do) or vice-versa.

      • If Rachel gets to final 2 then, anything is possible. Worst case scenario is $50,000 which is not bad considering the odds she went against to win anything if she manages to get that far! Don’t be too sure. If it is Kalia, Porsche or Adam in final 2 with Rachel, Rachel might still win because she played a better game than the other newbies still in it! Against Jordan, Jordan will win it because the other women including Danielle, Kalia, Porsche, Shelly will not vote for Rachel.

      • I actually like Rachel’s chances of winning the game.

        If Jordan gets evicted before finale 2 and Rachel gets there. She will have at least 3 votes (Brendon, Jeff and Jordan).

        If Rachel is against Jordan, she might win. Yes, everyone but Brendon hates her, but i dont think that any HG is willing to give Jordan another 500K. If I were a jury member, i’d rather give 500K to Rachel than make Jordan a millionnaire. I think the others HGs problably feel the same.

        If Rachel gets to the finale 2 with Adam, i think she’ll win. No sane person would vote for Adam to win this game, unless if he starts winning comps, which doesnt seem likely to happen.

      • New to post. One question. How can you justify Jordan and Jeff being better players than Kalia? Kalia won 2 HOHs (no, not by accident) and 2 vetos. If anything, Jordan was the third biggest floater (behind Adam and Shelley). She even admits that Rachal and Brendon kept she and Jeff in the game. Personalities aside, because each player had issues, but I keep hearing all negatives about Kalia and no one has given her due credit. Hate her if you want, but let’s be fair. I personally hope Zingbot wins BB.

    • Rachel’s social game has gotten better. She started playing cards with everyone and laughing and joking. she has done better since Brendon left the second time. Even when Porsche won HOH Rachel still played cards with them while Jordan wanted to sulk and get over her shock. I am proud of Rachel when she pulled Jordan back from beating Shelly’s ass. Rachel said Jordan don’t do this this is not you. I said woa Rachel is actually realizing now. All the terrible and horrible jokes they made about Rachel and even Jordan when she wanted to cut Rachel loose, found she needed Rachel to win and win Rachel did. Even if u do not win this game, u atleast competed and got yourself an extra week. Rock it out Rachel yessssssssssss

  26. Hopefully Rachel and Jordan will see that keeping Shelly would be a better choice. Because if either of them go up against her in the finals they will win. But Jordan and Rachel will be sourgrapes and evict Adam.

      • The veterans kept Porsche safe for how many weeks and she goes on and pledges loyalty with Danielle after Danielle threatened her with eviction when Kalia won HOH! Porsche should realize that she needs the jury votes to win and while, Danielle and Shelly might vote for her, the veterans probably will not! She may also get evicted so, never make it to final 2!

      • The rigged complaints are silly, because they are exaggeration. BB doesn’t rig anything, but they do certainly set things up so there is greater opportunity for high ratings people to stay.

        This isn’t “cheering for a side”. Its “cheering for ratings”.

        All that said, no one has ever NOT opened the box. So saying its not trying to help JR because Porsche could have not opened it is silly.

    • Rigged is a huge understatement! The thing is when the fans favorite say Danielle was being the beneficiary of production moves to keep her, Danielle fans had not problem with it. Now, that Jordan and Rachel get the same treatment, they are apalled and shocked! It is called hypocrisy! For it to be 100% fair, production should not favor anyone but, since, production went up the slippery slope to try and save Danielle, they also had to do it for Rachel and Jordan which is just fair!
      Anyone who has a problem with that is a hypocrite! So, do not give us a lecture about
      fairness because you have no idea what you are talking about!

      • I’m sick of hearing that BB is fixed! It’s not! It was Pandora’s Box and Porsche was greedy enough to open it! I had a feeling the duos would come back later in the game as a Pandora twist. When things are going well for the HGs you like, its not fixed, but when things go well for the other side, it is? I’ve never heard so many accusations of it being fixed as I have this season.

      • Dear Bill: I am a neutral….I’ve stated this MANY times. Therefore when I call fixes its not for either side….its pointing out something fishy. Bringing pairs back at the Final 6? Seems a little fishy…considering they had a good chance to still make sure that Rachel and Jordan would’ve stayed BEFORE pairing people up again.

I thought it was fishy when Dani said that production helped set up her and Rachel’s meeting last week… I do think production may do minor manipulations, but they don’t make the HGs vote for who they want to go home, they probably throw out reasons FOR them to vote, etc…. who knows lol.

        A:from the jump, just having to choose which duo to put up, so one could Get a golden key would have been tough.

        B: noobs had the numbers, vets had the power…vets were dominating the competitions, and it. Was actually the vets that took themselves out, newbies did nothing for that. Ie…. dani CHOOSING to fall for Dom and try and flip. Jeff CHOOSING to throw the corn-hole veto in which sent brendon home, but shelly would have been gone that week otherwise.

        C: kalias. HOH they knew there was a twist and someone could possibly stay or come back, but they CHOSE. To nominate and evict. Their own alliance member(rachel could. Have been gone that week)

        D: porsche CHOOSING to be greedy and open pbox…..

        E: Dani CHOOSING to focus soley on brenchal and forgetting other people were in the game….(ie the week brendon got evicted first, she could have gone after them later, had someone else been gone, dom would have most likely been the one to return)she only wanted to seek avengance for a boy she knew for 3 weeks.

        So you see what I mean…although some twists or comps may be geared one way or another its all about the CHOICES you made to get it to that point.

        Also don’t be mad that rachel is such a beast….4 comps and counting!

    • Ummm this is all on the the Nutty Professor Porche. She opened the box that caused the pairing. No pairing and still one of the vets go home. She F’d up.

      And….yes CBS added new twists but they needed to be cause the newbies are such boring contestants. They eat, sleep and pretend to do pilates. Well, Shelly massages her adam’s apple, but still, a boring set of contestants….instead of All Stars 2, they should have a Losers All Stars. All the contestants that left first.

She had already proven she couldn’t be trusted. That was Dani’s downfall. I agree all the vets would have to turn on each other eventually but she did it way too soon. She was in a panic when she lost her dad as partner and was deperate to replace him with Dom and the vets were gunning for Dom. She tried to save him and didn’t have enough newbie numbers with her at that point. I think this would have been a much better ending had she stayed with the vets longer.

Yes, everyone opens that box (you think they would learn from previous seasion) but they still had 4-2 in terms of competitors. The fact is 3 fatties and a tranny could not outlast Rachael. How is that rigged? Do you want a food competition so Team Fatty can win. If CBS really wanted to keep ratings they would have found a way to keep Dani and Jeff and sent the floaters home.

Considering that everyone opens Pandora’s box, it could have easily been used as a means for production to save Rachel and Jordan. Two veterans left, and then out of nowhere, they’re back in pairs and playing for a veto that will save two people? That’s pretty convenient, to say the least.

      • Then you’ve never watched BB before. Pandora’s box has one bad thing and one good thing for the person who opens it and for the house. When Porsche got 5K , something bad was given to her alliance. It was her choice to open it – that’s why it is called Pandora’s box. You open it and it will have a consequence.

      • But the “bad thing” for the house is actually a good thing for Rachel and Jordan. Pandora’s box doesn’t usually give both a good thing and a bad thing to both the house AND the person who opens it. Last season, Britney got locked in a room with Jessie when she opened pandora’s box, while the rest of the house got a barbeque. Britney didn’t get BOTH a good thing and a bad thing, nor did the house. She and the house got either/or. So why is it that Porsche got a good thing (5k), while Rachel and Jordan got a good thing as well (the chance to save both of them)? There is no definite proof that production is influencing the game, but it should be noted that both the twists this season screwed up two of the newbie HOH’s and either brought a vet back or helped them stay. Even Jordan said earlier on the feeds that the twist was intended to save them. (Which was just her opinion, but still.)

    People criticize Rachel and even though there are some things about Rachel that I would like to change, after watching this show both seasons that she is on, I actually believe she has a good heart, and is loyal to her alliance. There were situations where she talked with Dani, but actually her actions never turned against Jeff or Jordan. I want Rachel to win, to be rewarded for her game play, for her competitiveness, and also for her loyalty to her alliance.

    • Rachel’s actually been good since her meltdown after Brendon left the first time! She has stayed true to her alliance, and has actually been pretty decent to everyone, except perhaps Dani the first day Brendon went home when he was backdoored. That’s understandable! Her behavior, even then, was nowhere near as offensive and mean-spirited as Dani, Shelly and Porsche! They have said and done things that they should have gotten thrown out for. Stealing/destroying others property and spiking the shake powder was totally out of line. BB should be more proactive about controlling that kind of behavior.

      I don’t remember any other season when the production staff was so involved in the Houseguests chat, and or the constant announcer having to say ‘you must not talk about production’ or ‘you must not talk about your diary room session’. This group of houseguests have really brought the way the game is really produced to the awareness of the fans. In some ways its good, in others it spoils the illusion of ‘reality life’ from it. Oh well. You’d think the manipulation of the games would be regulated by some rules and regulations, like game shows are.

    • Honestly, how can you watch reality tv and not feel like it’s rigged. Of course production has a heavy hand in everything, it’s their job to get ratings. So they put in the twists to help make it more interesting even if that means favoring certain contestants. It’s up to the players to make their own decisions and win the competitions, even if their playing with a handicap.

You can hate on P&K, but they still win the only ones int the house who always looses and is the first to go are A. then S then J and the final 3 competetors are RPK based on winning and when they went down. Coming in second does not win but coming in last is a true floater.

    • Who said Rachel’s not educated? She went to college in North Carolina. She was a physics a science major like Brendon. She just decided she didn’t like the job she got working in her field. That’s how Rachel and Brendon first bonded last season. They even gave her a t-shirt from her college. There were pictures of her and her sorority sister in her first HOH room. Rachel is very intelligent. She’s just emotional and immature, but she’s acting alot better since Brendon’s second eviction. I think she finalized realized she needs to play a social game if she wants to win. And she deserves to win! She’s a great competitor, and she has been loyal to her alliance.       • Quite often CBS will show the entry of each new player to the jury house and the responses from the players already in residence. Don’t forget that this page is a “spoiler” and normally the results from the HOH comp wouldn’t be shown on TV until Sunday and the POV results wouldn’t be shown until Wednesday. I’m thinking on the Sunday telecast we might see Dani and Brendan arriving at the jury house or they may not play it until Wednesday but I’m sure we will see their arrivals at some point.

    • I don’t think I’ve ever seen a houseguest that has inspired such hatred from BB fans (and I’ve been watching since season 1)as Shelley. If she had been honest in her diary room interviews she might have come across as a more likeable player and been admired for her social game. Unfortunately, she merely comes across as delusional as she refuses to admit any act of duplicity on her part which could have been forgiven as being part of the game if she had been honest about it. Dr. Will showed us all how to be a “likeable liar” which is something Shelley could have tried to do. Instead she was so intent on trying to show us how honest she was that she forgot the cameras were rolling showing her constantly contradicting herself.

      As far as fan fave goes, I am hoping Jeff gets it although there are some die-heart Dani fans out there that might think otherwise.

      • @ SonnyRey – Jeff threw the second shoe (a yellow one) over the side of his bin when he was throwing the balls everywhere. Had he realized he threw the shoe over the side, he would’ve won because he “found” that second shoe before anybody else found both of theirs.

        Also, even if we hadn’t seen the second shoe be tossed over the side, there is no proof that Jeff (or any of the other people) didn’t continue to look for or didn’t ask to see both shoes in their bin during commercial… so calling them stupid is a baseless accusation.

        Maybe it was Jeff’s mis-placed vindictiveness and retalitory emotions that prompted that remark. I never saw a second shoe from anybody except Porche. That’s why I asked you and others for clarification about a 2nd shoe.

        Arguably, Jeff may have been stupid for throwing away a winning shoe.

        About proof, I have seen no proof that Jeff (or any of the other people) did continue to look for or didn’t ask to see both shoes in their bin during commercial. Maybe those with live feed could carify with facts.

    • Agreed Toer. I’ve been saying this all along. I have no issues with an all vets cast or an all newbies cast, but when the two are mixed, it’s clear that production can’t keep things fair.

      Twists are an exciting part of the game, but when these “random” twists ONLY occur to help the vets, it’s totally unfair and no longer enjoyable to watch.

      If the twists are really to be fair, then the times and details should be annouced to the audience at the beginning of the season so that it’s clear that production is not picking and choosing who should get the benefit.

      • Okay i am tired of everyone complaining about how the twists only help the vets of course they do because its good for ratings to give the underdog the chance to stay when you are this far in to the game and There was no denying that Jordan and rachle are the underdogs this week.

        Double Eviction- which for some reason people are thinking is a twist when it isn’t. they have one every season and it is usually at this point

        Voting someone back into the house- Again happens almost every season for the last couple and we voted back in Brendon it could have been any of them

        Golden keys/duo twist- this helped the newbies

      • You all make great points and I hear what you are saying about things being rigged, but I am sure BB plays a fine line between rigging the show…rigging a show is completely against the law (Re: the original version of game show Twenty One is an example of this). Besides if rigging were to REALLY happen and be blatant, Janelle would have made the final 2 at least once!

      • I, for at least one, might not be so eager to highlight possible BB fraud if BB Production were up front and allow viewers the option to see what they do. I would be convinced if there were an objective on-site observer. I firmly beleive BB Production would, maybe does, cross that illegal line if they beleive they they won’t get caught. Think about the people who did cross that line but got caught. We know about Twenty One Production ONLY BECAUSE they got caught.

        BB Production showns only what they want you to see which an ideal way to hide their activity, like Congress does.

      • When these twists are introduced,it just so happens to be when the newbies have the power. For instance, Porscha gave into temptation not thinking how it would affect her game. Can you say stupid, has she never watched the show. Blame the players people.

        Is Porche truely stupid for taking sure-thing money while she knows she may not get anything. It is a huge risk to turn down money now. That’s more than most of the evicted players will get (barring selfproclaimed “big” Jeff who has always opted for the money.)

        I don’t recall whether anybody in BB in BB history has turned down sure-thing money?

    • yeah, because coming in at a 8 to 6 disadvantage really helped them from the get go (sarcasm) If you recall, it was Shelly, Porsche, and Kalia that helped the vets in the beginning. Also, all the newbies had to do was win that first HOH, and they could have gotten rid of two vets right there. (because Evil Dick left week 1)

Those newbie individual ad-hoc “couples” didn’t have a chance to get their individual selves together whereas the so-called “vets” always voted together. Come on, did Porche have time to figure out her partner was a loser. Kalia got stuck with a quitter. The newbies were at a huge, repeat HUGE disadvantage despite the numbers.

    • They all most likely signed on to go with whatever CBS production wanted. I think they all knew from the beginning if there would be any manipulation by the show. I am not saying there is manipulation by production but if there is, I am sure they all signed up for it upfront.

    • Nobody was forced to appear on the show and nobody can expect to be handed 500gs just by doing so. I imagine a lot of people would like the opportunity to be on the show just to get exposure – winning the money would be a bonus. None of the above is grounds for a legal suit.

      BB production changes the rules as the contest results emerge. In the beginning this year, they handed the newbies with an unfair disadvantage by bringing in the so-called “vets” (a term that turms my stomach in this vain) by bringing back the six slime balls IN PAIRS! Now, BB Production is making or selecting rules to boost ratings.

      I strongly suspect Rachael may have had a production-secret advantage, maybe sticky stuff on her doll. Ever Rachel may not have known that.

  256. I’m confussed …the Vets are constantly talking about how much they hate floaters and yet EVERY FLOATER IS aONLY FLOATING because of THEIR game play. How many players did they get rid of to give golden keys to the floaters then they targeted anyone who could play and win. You can hate on P&K, but they still win the only ones int the house who always looses and is the first to go are A. then S then J and the final 3 competetors are RPK based on winning and when they went down. Coming in second does not win but coming in last is a true floater.

And she chose 2 of the most popular and nice players BB has ever had, if not THE most popular, to deceive and backstab. She really screwed up her reputation!

If they did not get rid of Brendon and Danielle did not try to get rid of everyone of the veterans then, they would not have targeted each other and given the newbies the opening they got. So, whose fault is it?

  264. It’s time for another BB All Stars for BB14. This way all the vets can put their money where their mouth is.

    It’s easy for vets like DD/BR/JJ to come back into the house, be cocky and play against new people. I want to see them play against nothing but past players and see how far they get in the game.

    Of course it needs to have competitors like: Brenchel, Dr. Will, Jessie, Britney, Evel Dick, both Danieles, Matt, Janelle, Jase

    But also people for drama and ratings like:
    Jen, both Natalies, Ragan, Kristen, Ronnie, Marcellas

    These are just examples, but with all those big personalities, the house would explode!

    • It would be interesting because everyone would have to bring their A game! In survivor, the meanest and nastiest players were targeted early in the game so, you can expect Danielle, Natalie, etc. if they make it to an All Star game will have big targets on their backs from the get go. Anyone can be mean and nasty but, playing a very social game and winning competitions is what it takes to get to the very end!

  266. Let’s be straight here…

    Shelly deserves to go this week. Has she doe anything that has made her deserving of winning BB13? I think we all know the answer to this.

    As far as the finale goes, Rachel is the only one deserving of winning this season.

    Kalia and Porsche are complete floaters (yes, I know they won a few comps, but we all know what their game play has been..eating and sleeping..and let’s not forget, following whoever is in power).

    Adam is kinda the same. Seems like a god guy, but to be fair, he is fairly useless.

    Jordan is a sweetheart, but she already won and she is a bit of a floater as well. Has she won anything that she actually won all on her own without someone helping her out (ie – Brendon and
    Jeff)? The answer is no.

    Rachel deserves to win. She is who she is. And yes, at times she can be annoying and outspoken…but that’s just her. She is a good person and plays the game to the best of her ability. She leads with her emitions, but she’s a fighter. And the girl needs the cash so she can live happily ever after with “her man”.

    All-in-all, I’m sure many agree, BB13 is the season of Brenchel.

    • Yes, she’s a fighter and if she wins it will be fine but I’m good with P or K too. They play to win and have… who cares if all they do is eat and sleep if they are that LAZY why can’t Jordan, Adam or Shelly beat them. Which is why the F3 RPK I dont care who wins. My fav went out already.

      I would have liked to see Dani and Rach in the F2 at least they would be 2 really good fighters

They made the dumb moves to destroy their alliance which has protected them in the past. So, whose fault is it anyways? Danielle to a great degree with a huge assist from Jeff! They both deserve to be in the jury house because of their dumb moves!

Then she went to JJ and told them what the deal was and outed Shelly.Shelly was already mad at her because Jeff told them to play nice and Rach kept her mouth shut.     What I would like to see next season (if I actually watch because I have passed on some seasons and honestly am considering tunning out of this one) is for these supposed “twists” to be announced to the audience at the beginning of the season as well as when they are due to occur. That way we can at least know that the game is truly fair.

    This season has been awful so far. I have no favourites nor do I have a preference for newbie or vet. What bothers me is that production has clearly already chosen who they want to win and are changing the rules (with “random” “twists”) in an effort to make it happen. This is a waste of everyone’s time and a total insult to our intelligence.

    • When Danielle was being assisted by production, Danielle fans had no problem with it! However, if any other houseguests like Jordan and Rachel were the beneficiaries of anything production did then, it is flat out wrong! One other thing, those handed golden keys which was Porsche, Shelly and Danielle got like 3 weeks of guaranteed safety while, everyone else had a chance of being booted out! Life is not fair in the real world and if it is not fair in a game show—-big deal!
      I am sure before the season is over, production will do something to favor the newbies and I am sure Danielle fans would be fine with that as well!

  274. While I am not surprised that Jordan did not win I am sorry to learn Rachel did. These two are not who I want to win. Rachel is mean spirited and they are both still there because their male partners bullied the other players. J and j and b and r did a terrible job playing a social game. The newbies were as happy to get rid of Jeff and Brendon as threats as they were to be rid of them as unpleasant bullies. The four of them habecause an unpleasant attitude of entitlement that has rubbed me the wrong way since the beginning. The newbies have as much right to win as anyone. Jordan has been built up as adorable and honorable but she is neither: she is nasty and passes gas in front of others without an apology. She has been told by Jeff she needed to bathe on more than one occasion. And since when is her brand of ignorance in a woman her age adorable? Rachel seems not nice to know either. I am rooting for Adam who has had to rely on his wits and has won when he needed to and has the heart to know how to get along with others. If Adam doesn’t win then as long as Jordan or Rachel don’t win that will be great with me.

  281. I have been reading this site since I started watching BB during the all-stars season and never really had the urge to post until now. It is really getting annoying that when things don’t go the way that viewers want it to they jump to conclusions about it being rigged. While I understand that big ratings equals big money to CBS, do you honestly think CBS cares who wins? We as fans will watch no matter what. You can give all the empty threats of not watching but there’s a reason you post here, it’s because you love this show. Sure, there have been times the thought of it being rigged crossed my mind but there are so many people involved in production don’t you think that info like that would have been leaked at some point during the THIRTEEN seasons this has been airing?? Now you want CBS to release what twists will happen and when?!? That takes all the fun out of it. The twists are great because after every episode I try to figure what will happen next knowing full well that a twist will change everything. A twist forces alliances to break up and makes the HG think on their feet. Without the twists the show would get too predictable.

I don’t like Shelley from what I’ve seen, but bear in mind this is reality tv and it will be edited…every show needs a pantomine villain and whilst I do think she’s a backstabber I suspect we are shown more of her negative traits in the main to pull in more viewers…we do all love a bit of drama afterall. It is a high pressure enviroment which people will respond to differently; clearly she cannot handle it as well as the others. Also don’t see how the show is rigged; majority of newbies over vets, and Porche didn’t have to open pandoras box.

  283. Shelly is definitely going. Now Adam has to choose a side. I think he’ll wander over to the newbies because he knows it’s a veterans’ Jury. I see another newbie going next week to make it an even 2 to 2. Then probably Rachel or Jordan. I expect Kalia and Porsche to be Final 2 and Kalia to win. (That’s scary considering her “move” earlier this season) Also, I’m working on a Top 20 Players list and I’m not including BB1 players or second-seasons but I’m counting the better season for players who played twice. I have Rachel for this year at #14. Any thoughts? I already I have the list done but it’s obviously subject to change. I need suggestions, people!

  284. All reality / game shows are tainted to a degree. Comps are geared toward the strengths and weaknesses of certain players. However in the long run it does equal out. I personally would like to see an endurance competion for questions and answers. All house guest would not no the results until the comp was over. Best score out of 500 questions. Questions, could be True / False, Before / After, Multiple Choice, etc. etc. etc.

      • What does position 3 do for you? Zilch. Shelley recognized that if she made it to the final 3 with Jeff and Jordan she would be eliminated then. Shelley was playing for the money not Postition 3.

      • If you make it final 3 you win you go to final 2. You have to get there 1st. She would have still had the chance to vote J off (which was the right move for her) but had she not done it the way she did she would have still been in good with J. J would have believed that it was A that flipped. Doesn’t matter anyway because all house guests know how she has played and no matter who she sits with in the end I don’t think she can win anything other than the 50 g’s. Her only slim chance would be sitting with R. I personally don’t think she could win then.

    • I think R does have a chance to win against J. She was tight with P at the beginning. She has been a good comp player. Even D may vote for her she knows they had to get her out to win. She can whine about J going against their deal but she did the same exact move Jeff did to B (but B got truly backdoored because he didn’t even have the chance to save himself in veto comp) If B hadn’t been back in the game that week I have no doubt that Jeff would have been the one sent packing.

I really want Rachel to win…I have found her annoying from what I’ve seen (being in uk am limitted to youtube clips), but thought Porche was so nasty to her in hiding her things that I’d love to see her win over Porche. If not Rachel, than Jordan as she seems nice. Feel a bit bad for Shelley as she is being portrayed as a panto villain, but it’s her own fault for putting herself in a high pressure reality tv situation that she is clearly unable to handle.

  307. It seems BB is like playing poker with somebody who just changes that hands if they don’t like the idea of not having the result they choose. You know your hand and your comfortable with it, your opponents have their hand and are comfortable to play it. The God of the poker table sees your hand and sees their hands. They know the inevitable result and not being happy with it changes the hands (and sometimes the game) in order to produce a result more to its liking. This really takes any pleasure from the game away. All the spontaneity of a contest moving along by its own momentum is removed. The game is no longer organic it is contrived. Does anybody else feel, like me, that they are being played for a sucker ? I know for sure I cannot take one more second of that idiot cocktail waitress and her idiot “fiancé”. I’ll read the spoilers till it’s all over !

      • Of course the games are not random. What would be fair is once the players were all sequestered the producers would let viewers see how the game was going to go each week, but they change the rules as they go along, to accomodate the players they want to have at the end. Nothing random about the game.

    • Sadly it seems that few of you know how this really works. CBS has a number of different scenarios depending on the choices made by the contestant. If they choose to open Pandora’s box they have a scenario set up to achieve the result they are looking for. If they do not open Pandora’s box they have another scenario set up to still achieve the result they were looking for. What ever the contestants do, what ever decisions the contestants make in the end CBS have all the different scenarios set up, all the different combinations in place to have whoever THEY choose to be in the last two.The contestants are the puppets and the producers are holding the strings. It is after all an entertainment show in their job is to produce it so it is at its most entertaining in. They push the buttons and you react.

I would be almost 100% certain that had Rachel or Jordan not won the veto that one of them would have been going home. The producers can only let out so much slack before it becomes a scripted soap opera.

      • No, it’s not that we whine because things doesn’t happen the way we want it – it’s just that we, like everyone else in life wants things to be fair and with television it’s not fair! It’s just life! If want to dictate a show, then get rich and by a station (like Oprah did)! Not that she’s winning, but it’s her show and she can do whatever she wants to.     • Why is that different from Porsche, Danielle and Shelly getting golden keys and free from eviction for like 3 weeks? Is that fair? Or how about the lobbying by production for Danielle to stay and pressuring Jeff to keep Danielle over Kalia? The meeting arranged by production between Danielle and Rachel with the intention of getting Rachel to change her vote to evict Kalia instead of Danielle? See, people cry unfair when it does not favor their favorite house guests. For anything to be fair, everyone should be subjected to the same thing but, it isn’t! Even in “real life”
      it isn’t fair. You think those who get promoted ahead of you or get a better assignment and higher pay simply deserved it or got an assist because of people they know?
      Life is not fair in the real life and it isn’t fair in the Big Brother House but, it is what it is and a whole lot more people including your favorite got preferential treatment although, you would conveniently leave that thing out!

      • Did you also know the producers themselves have said they want the game to be as fair as possible? That’s clearly not happening. And the golden Key twist made sense because they person safe no longer had a partner to participate with in the Dynamic Duo twist.

        You don’t even know who my favourite is, so how can you even say “favorite got preferential treatment”. Also your rant is a total fail, Jeff was never pressured to keep Dani, he always wanted Danielle out. The meeting between Rach and Dani happened because Shelly was trying keep dani safe.

  313. This could be good. Adam has to go anyway so Porsche and Kalia can get to the end with Shelly. Better to string Rachel and Jordan along for another week so we can laugh at them again when they don’t win HoH next week and they are crying.

    • Keep dreaming. Shelly is going home this week and nothing the newbies can do to stop it! Only votes this week are: Rachel, Jordan and Kalia. Shelly and Adam will be on the block. Porsche cannot play next week so, it is Kalia, Adam, Rachel and Jordan for HOH. If Rachel and Jordan win HOH next week, Kalia and Porsche will be on the block and could go home.

    • No, am I the only smart one paying any attention? That team-thing was only for one week. After Shelly goes home, the game goes back to normal “individual” play! Did you miss that? Think about it, once Shelly goes home (which we all agree is her time to go), Adam will be without a partner. That is when they go back to normal play so no more teams – unless BB throws in another twist and bring someone back to be Adam’s partner – and they just might do that! Not only the BB houseguests are being played, the viewers are being played too! Who’s smart – ME!

      • Not too smart, because what people are saying is that Rachel and Jordan will team up with Adam. For HOH that’s 3 against 1. In the unlikelyhood that Kalia wins again and puts up R/J again, then there’s a better opportunity to get POV and they’ll have the votes to knock Porsche and Kalia out of the house.

Its almost over and the won 2 competitions between the two of them and people actually want them to win? You want Jordon to win? Why, what has she done to deserve to win. Nothing.       • Kalia is a joke. When she told Smelly that ‘There’s no crying in Big Brother’ I couldn’t believe it! This show is awesome to watch and see how power goes to people’s heads! I am disappointed in Adam’s game play. And Porch has some comp skills but her social game is amazingly non-existent for a cocktail waitress! Please, do not let Kalia win! Her DR’s are the worst this year!

  331. Is it just me or did everyone else know exactly what would happen if Big Hips opened Pandoras Box? I knew whatever it was it was going to be in favor for Rachel and Jordan,,,evidently this show is becoming to obvious that it is scripted. I know we get mad etc etc and yet we still tune in every season to watch BB but I am really considering having this season be my last as far as being a BB fan is concerned….What happened to the likes of Chicken George LOL Enough with bringing previous players back,,,bring on some people who havent had the chance to win. In any event like I said in a previous comment…The only 3 that deserved to win BB are the 3 who are sitting in the jury house but since that won’t happen I hope Rachel takes it all even though shes whiny and bitchy but at least she played the game while others floated through the house like clouds.

I am in no way a Rachel fan and in fact wanted her voted out long ago, however, out of the group left, she is the only one who played the game. Porsche, Kalia, Shelly, Adam, and yes Jordan, I hate to say it because I love her, all slept through it. Porsche is just a floater who r ode on Rachels coat tails for the first 1/2 of the game. Im glad Rachel won the POV, Karma is a MOFO and Porsche deserves it.     • Kalia did not sleep through big brother….she has won competitions and made moves in the game…..so has Rachel…and for the rest of them being a floater is a strategic game move….Jordan does this well!

    • I agree with you, Kymba, that Rachel should win the $500,000. Never has a Big Brother contestant had to fight so hard against such overwhelming odds just to remain in the game. Rachel and Brendon were targets the first season they played and they were targeted (by Daniele) almost from the very beginning of this season as well. It seemed that Daniele’s only goal was to get Brendon out of the house. Had Jeff remained true to his orginal alliance with Rachel and Brendon, they would have come down to at least the final six (including whichever newbies were willing to work with them). So, yes, I do think Rachel deserves to win this time around.

  340. I really cannot understand why there is so much hate for Kalia. She is playing the game well, yes she did listen to Dani, but the moves that she made changed the game. Jeff needed to go, he was a bully and cocky as hell. Jordan is no angel and Rachel is no good. Someone else needs to win this game, hopefully not Adam, worthless.   342. So, I know it can’t happen now…but what would have happened if for the sake of argument, Jordan and Rachel went up, Adam won the veto and saved them from the block. Who goes up? Kalia is safe with Porsche, Adam wouldn’t go up as the veto winner, nor could Shelly as his partner. Seems a little strange

  343. sadly it seems that few of you know how this really works. CBS has a number of different scenarios depending on the choices made by the contestant. If they choose to open Pandora’s box they have a scenario set up to achieve the result they are looking for. If they do not open Pandora’s box they have another scenario set up to still achieve the result they were looking for. What ever the contestants do, what ever decisions the contestants make in the end CBS have all the different scenarios set up, all the different combinations in place to have whoever THEY choose to be in the last two.
    The contestants are the puppets and the producers are holding the strings. It is after all an entertainment show in their job is to produce it so it is at its most entertaining in. They push the buttons and you react.

  344. We should not assume that Rachel and Jordan are pre-destined for final two. I am not sure that the producers have decided yet who will be the final two. They assess the situation week by week and make decisions based upon the most drama there is, the situation which is most likely to create audience reaction or emotional response. They may have decided to keep Shelly in because she is producing the most drama right now. This week they may have even decided to take her right to the end as they know this would be sure to produce the biggest emotional bang for the buck. Boo the bad guy ! On the other hand they may feel they have squeezed as much drama from her as they can so decide to dump her. This is not about winners and losers it’s about viewers and advertisers. The more entertaining they make it the more viewers they have. The more viewers they have the more advertisers will pay to advertise.

  345. Let me start out by saying, I like Jeff and Jordan. BUT, playing the game Jeff had to go. He its to strong of a player and they were the last couple. THAT IS 2 VOTES and no matter how you cut it, that its to many. Porsche is stepping up her game. Rachel is just getting warmed up. Jordan should go just because she had sweet and already won.

  346. I will admit I was upset about Shelly flipping not because she did but how it all went down. Did she really believe Dani, Kaila or Porsch would take her to the final three?? She has flipped on everyone in the house how does she expect anyone’s vote??? If she really wanted to remain friends with Jordan why then did she provoke her?? I liked Shelly in the beginning, however she has lied so much that she even believes it herself. I know everyone lies in BB but she is mean about it plus taking people’s stuff and destroying it is very childish and wrong, and if she made comments about kicking Rachel so she would miscarry then she or anyone else who might have said it should have to leave the show. As for the BB veiwers we have our favorites for various reasons but please remember it is a game and calling names and wishing bad things on the HG or their families makes you no better and even worse because your not playing the game and there is no prize money for you if one of favorites win. Those HG who are left at one point have all been floaters it boils down to which floaters the jury likes the best.

  347. Shelly absolutely must leave this week if Big Brother intends to keep what is left of its viewing audience. We’ve lost all the interesting players, e.g., Brendon and Jeff. If Rachel and/or Jordan get voted out next week, there really won’t be anyone worth watching. The “newbies” this season are a boring bunch to watch–consisting of floaters and hanger-ons. If the audience can expect to see the likes of Kalia, Porshe and Adam (or heaven forbid, Shelly) as the final three, Big Brother shouldn’t anticipate a high viewer rating on the final night.

  349. Like others, I feel the network is changing the rules as they go. I have watched BB since the beginning but this will be my last year. They brought the vets back having an edge and when things did not look good for them they switched the rules. Open the box or not, Rachel or Jordan have been set up to win. Love them or hate them they are popular with the viewers. Not a game but another soap opera. I will watch it to the end but this is it.

    • Sadly, I agree….I loved BB and in years past tried not believe it “was fixed”. But now it pretty much clear that production has a hand in the outcome…so sad :(

  351. Kalia made the greatest moves in BB history. She took out both Brendon th ewuss and hot-head Jeff. Kalia would be in the final three had BB Producers (BBP) not rigged the game against her in Porche’s Pandora Box (PB). In contrast, Rachael’s PB was a reward for the house, and for Rachael! WTF? BBP controlled that.

    I strongly suspect Kalia’s screwing by BBP is a racial issue. Make no mistake – this so-called game is rigged! ~Bob R. (aka SonnyRey)
