Big Brother 16: Have-Not Room Emptied, Rebuilt, & Sealed

| September 4, 2014 at 9:00 AM EST

Yesterday on the Live Feeds we learned that not only would the HGs receive a special meal but also a special task: empty the Have-Not room and then get out of there.

With this being the last week of Have-Nots there was no need to keep the room around anymore, but would the Ice room return with a special purpose?

Around 3:50PM BBT yesterday the HGs were called upstairs to the HoH room for a lockdown. Feeds went down and stayed out for roughly three hours. When things returned just before 7PM BBT the Houseguests rushed downstairs to see what all the fuss was about as they could hear construction work during their lockdown.

Arriving at the silver entryway to the HN room Houseguests said they could smell paint but when they tried to enter the room they found it sealed shut. Frankie called it the most anti-climatic moment of the season for them. Well, I dunno about that. Okay, maybe.

So what’s going on with the room? It seems unlikely that the room would have been painted and undergone three hours of construction work just to close it down when it could have just been sealed and left behind for the last few weeks.

Houseguests excitedly speculated that it could be some sort of luxury competition awaiting them. There were also talks of an isolation room like we’ve seen in past seasons, but several HGs thought that was a lot of work to do for just one day of use.

Whatever is going on with the former Ice room is still a mystery and we don’t have any details nor did we get a peak inside for what’s to come next. What do you think they might be planning for the room? An isolation punishment from an upcoming comp? Maybe a luxury prize? Share your thoughts!

Big Brother 16 Episode 31 Recap: The Backdoor Plan That Almost Was

| September 3, 2014 at 10:08 PM EST

It was almost an exciting, game-changing episode of Big Brother 16 as Caleb had plans to backdoor Frankie, but just when everyone got their hopes up, Big Brother 16 continued to flatline.

The episode picks up right after Caleb named Nicole and Christine as his nominees. Derrick lets us know that Christine is his target because he doesn’t care for her and he thinks she might nominate him if given the chance.

Christine, meanwhile, says she’s in this game alone and has to win the veto despite being in with the guys the whole time. She doesn’t quite understand why Caleb nominated her.

Nicole is upset because she’s back on the block and because nothing in this game ever changes. She goes to Derrick for comfort and he helps talk her down and get her head in the game. Anything for a jury vote, right Derrick?

Big Brother Surprises Houseguests With Special Meal

| September 3, 2014 at 6:00 PM EST

Earlier today the Houseguests were greeted by one of the Big Brother producers coming over the speakers with a surprise. They were allowed to pick a special meal and all of them would be able to enjoy it. Even the Have-Nots.

It was the most excitement the HGs had seen in quite awhile so they started running through all their options. Big Brother said they could pick whatever they wanted, but not too expensive.

HGs soon narrowed it down to Chinese food or burgers. Frankie announced that he did not like In-N-Out burgers because they taste like cardboard. It was decided: In-N-Out! Heh.

The food arrived around 1:45PM BBT and everyone greedily chowed down as one big happy family. Derrick and Nicole especially enjoyed themselves as they’ve had nothing but slop and “Snot Roast” to eat this week. Nicole noted this was her first real meal in quite awhile as she had been a HN last week as well.

No one ever seemed to wonder too much about why they were receiving a special treat, but I’m guessing Derrick talked production in to it all as part of his plan to fatten the HGs up for the slaughter ahead on Thursday. Here, have seconds Christine and Frankie.
