Kind of Like Cheap Dark Chocolate. Sweet with a Bitter Aftertaste.
Hey ya’ll! Well, this is it, bring down the curtain, the party’s over, and it is time to go home. This ending was, for me, like a piece of cheap dark chocolate. Yes, it was sweet, but for some reason, I can’t get that bitter aftertaste out of my mouth.
First I want to say that the final three finale idea was a huge bump for all of us. The build up to and the final HOH comp was edge of your seat, nail biting, toes curling excitement. I mean heart pounding.. and then…Jordan wins, and my heart sunk… Poor Kevin.. I know, I know, he did some dirty things, but the guy was funny and charming and it just didn’t seem as dirty when he did them. When I saw him, he made me smile.
OK..So now I have to dig my nails into my flesh to tolerate the fact that Gnat made it to F2. She is sitting there, yes.. But at least now…………. Justification was FINALLY coming.. Yes, the Gnat made it to the Final 2, and as sick as that made us at LEAST she was FINALLY going to get what was coming to her. That ALMOST made it worth her getting to F2.. So here come the bare knuckle beat down……{crickets}
“Ummm Natalie, what was your best move in the game?” “Natalie what was your strategy?” WHAT??? Where was our Smackdown that we had all been longing for lo these many weeks? Michelle hinted a teensy bit with the “Nat, you are 18 and got engaged question” Then it just fizzed out. I KNOW that was an opportunity from the jury for her to come clean on her own about the age lie, but of course she would not. Jury… You disappointed me SOO much in the questioning.. This was different from previous years. In the past, each jury member had the time to ask personal questions.. “Why did you do that to me.. etc”. I guess this was a programming deal, but it sure took the edge out of it for me.
Of all people, my hero of the night/????? RONNIE!! Ronnie, my boy, you just redeemed every action you did in that house! You were the only person with the cahones to call her out. I just KNEW she would not have enough class to use her speech to come clean and tell the truth to the jury. That was a huge mistake on her part. But after the votes were in.. The Rat himself gave her the only slam of the evening. YAY RON!! The look on Jordan’s face blew me away, and I wonder if, at that moment she could hear the echo of all the times we have screamed at the TV to her…. “DONT BELIEVE HER! SHE IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT!!”
So, I am glad for Jordan. She did deserve it 100% over Gnat, and hey.. you have to give it to her.. She won the last two HOH comps. She beat KEvin fair and square, and she thought out the jury’s strategy and got it right. She is no dumb blonde. GOOD FOR YOU, JORDAN! I feel pretty bad for Kevin, but, you know, sometimes you reap what you sow..
Well, Gnat won second place and $50,000 dollars. But lets think about that for just a sec. OK, after taxes, we are talking about $35,000? That is the cost of a decent car. OK. When you balance $35,000 against having literally MILLIONS of people hating you, knowing that you are a liar and a cheater… Was it worth it? I don’t see how. And since I could not get the satisfaction of seeing her booted, at least I have the consolation of knowing that, in the end, that money is going to probably sit pretty damn heavy on her..
One more note.. I just want to address the “WILL THEY or WONT THEY” question regarding JEff and Jordan. My own personal, (and not the most popluar) opinion is this: They may be friends, and talk and text, etc. But I personally do NOT see any romance for the two of them. If you noticed, she barely paid any attention to him at all at the end of the finale. Most showmance couples throw themselves into each other’s arms at that point. Both were quite hesitant when it came to outside relationships. I think that he was attracted to her physically, but not mentally and she was attracted to his strength, but not sexually. There just seemed to be some slight kind of chemistry issue. HArd to pin down. Anyway, if they do get together..More power to them!!
OK guys.. I did all the mushy stuff in my last blog.. Here is hoping for next season, a different kind of cast. I want to see some real people. I personally don’t care if they are pretty. Give me the old, fat and ugly! But please, PLEASE let them beWORTHY!! Let them know this game. Imagine….. a WHOLE house full of Ronnie’s.. You scoff.. but, I see it as a beautiful dream that may oneday come true.. Why can’t normal, non-model materiel people fill that house this time… LET’s SEE A REAL GAME THIS TIME!!
Bye ya’ll!!!! God Bless and Keep you and yours safe and happy and I will be waiting right here for you next July!

Kevin totally reaped what he sewed!! The idiot choked when he needed to convince Jordan that taking Gnat would be a mistake! He should have driven home the point that the JH is full of her friends and she burned VERY few of them there!!
He should have said that he would pretty much be guaranteed Lydia’s vote and that’s it while Natalie can count on many more!
Obviously we all know the outcome, however from where they were sitting in the BBH, they had no clue the jury was poisoned to Natalie.
Natalie did not deserve the $50k, however Kevin basically handed it to her! BTW — all prizes won come out of the $750 per week they are paid for being there… So his $10k prize really is mut — as he would have gotten $7,500 in salary — so that is taken out of his $10k and the $600 he got after getting his hand out of Pandora’s box.. as is the value of the clothing his hillariously ripped off the manaquin.

It was a very interesting trade off we got with the new fornat this season finale. The drama in that final HOH comp was simply incredible. Man was I so nervous watching the look of complete bewilderment on Jordo’s face as she tried to come up with a number for that final tiebreaker as Kevin looked to be furiously counting. Then BAM the “dummy” who didn’t stand a chance in the final 3 against the 2 evil genius’ was 1 off from nailing it right on the mark while Kevin was way off in left field.
The major downside to the format change was the complete neutering that was done to the jury questioning portion of the program. I too had been so looking forward to this moment and was greatly disappointed. However I’m not sure if we can blame the members of the Jury entirely as I would tend to believe CBS purposely watered down this segment to avoid any potential fireworks on live TV. Having each person read a generic question off a card just didn’t work for me. I don’t know if I’m in favor of sacrificing this portion of the proceedings for the added drama of keeping 3 to finale night in the future.
As far as Nat “winning” 2nd place, to take your thoughts a step further, I look at it like this, and I think it might help others feel better about it as well. Nat got 50K and is the most universally despised player in the history of BB. Jeff won 25K, a trip for 2 to Hawaii, a possibility although probably unlikely of a relationship with Jordan (and if not he’s single and ready to mingle), and is far and away the most popular HG ever on the show with I imagine a bunch of potential opportunities coming his way. Now you tell me who the 2nd biggest winner really is this season? As far as I’m concerned Jeff and Jordan fans can rejoice because in the end they actually did finish 1st and 2nd after all.

Great blog! Ronnie did totally redeam himself in my eyes. I loved that Jessie voted for Jordan. And I hate to say it but I don’t see much of a J/J romance after this. Who knows?
September 16th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
I agree, no J/J romance. Worlds apart and Jeff will get lots of opportunities that will even further distance him from Jordan. As much as I did not want to see Nat get anything, her knowing that Jesse didn’t vote for her and she received zero attention at the end. It seemed like Julie ignored her. Fitting end for her.

I’m not entirely sure on Ronnie redeeming himself as it seemed like his comments towards Nat were meant as a compliment and she certainly took them that way.

I’m repeating myself, but I’m glad Jordan took Nat because it guaranteed her the win and it proved to Nat, in front of the viewers, that the Jury were NOT her friends and Jordan winning the Fan Vote and Jeff the Fan Choice award showed her how much we all loved this couple.
I would be afraid that Nat may have always felt that had she not got to F2, that she may have actually won. I don’t believe for one minute that she though her “friends” wouldn’t vote for her. I think she was covering her ass and lying again when she said she already knew she lost Jessie’s vote. And it was good to see her other “friend” expose her also.

I agree with several of you that even though I didn’t want to see gnat in the F2, it was worth watching her humiliated. We all know if she had been evicted, her story would have been that Jordo didn’t take her because she knew she would have won. At least now, everyone knows she wouldn’t have won and in fact, it wasn’t even close! There is a God!

Jeff and Jordan? HMMMMMMMM, I think Jeff got a little mean to Jordan in that house when he had the power. Remember he said he was trying to make her the best Jordan he could? Who wants to change someone they love? Jeff is to old for Jordan she needs some fun! But I bet you they date. That line lets see if she wins, just showed you he is shy and I think he is afraid she doesn’t want him. Not even the big kiss at the end. Just buddies and in 3 years, maybe married lol. Friends make the best spouses. Sooooooo if he is interested he better take her to Hawaii, cause that girl has fan mail galore. I see big things for them both. And Kevin yessssssssss he made me laff. I want to see him on MTV hosting something!!! He is a real cutie pie.

@ Brian…….Ronnie became a Jordan fan at home like us. It was a game babe. He grew to hate the Gnat that walked like a duck just like we did. He told her week 2 would of been different if I knew. I can’t believe Kevin gave her his vote. Why didn’t he get the same info the jury had about the age lie? I loved the drama of the final3 this year but Kevin should of got like 5 minuets with the Jury to talk. Nat sooooo played him. What was up with Kevin hooking up with such Butch woman? They were always bossing him around.

You may not like this but i work out at same gym as jess, and yes he is gay. Did you ever see him touch or even kiss any of the girls? No. And for Jeff, come on, he is also gay. Could be Bi but i don’t think so. Most of the guys at the gym are bi or gay. (I’m not). So I can pretty much always tell.

Janet my computer went down yesterday and i didn’t get it fixed and back untill today but i just wanted to say–I felt so sorry for Kevin–i so wanted him to win the 50,000 but at least nat didn’t get the GRAND prize. ANd i am glad Jeff got the 25,000 but so would of liked to see Michelle get something–Oh well it is what it is–but it been great being here with you and everyone else–untill next year for bb–see you on survivors blog-YOU WERE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know how you can think Ronnie redeemed himself.
He was all about not taking blaming others rather than to take responsiblity for his actions, whether Michelle or Nat.
So what if Nat was a liar to him – he lied to everyone too, Come on Ronnie it was a game- so she lied about her age.
Jordan and Jeff have a significant age difference.
Besides the physical attraction for Jeff, I mean , really what would they have to talk about about- they are worlds apart.
September 17th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
@Janet

OK im agreeing with you one last time…until Survivor
I dont think Jeff and Jordon will last outside the house either…no real chemistry. If Jeff were mine…id be all over him
The girl treated him like a friend…not like a potential soul mate!
Anywho…as Susan said..it is what it is.
Lets hope Survivor is a little easier to handle…im tired and need some sleep…but you can bet ill be there every thursday night!

I hate the fact that Jordon won she did nothing but ride Jeff’s coattails. She did not deserve it. Nat really played the game and the worst person is always the winner. She deserved it. Jeff was a wust…..
