Devin Shepherd Lights Bomb Squad Fuse & Outs Alliance

How many times can the Bomb Squad alliance be out’d inside the Big Brother 16 house? Apparently a lot of times because it happened again when Devin Shepherd opened up to some of the final Houseguests to be in the dark during a late night attempt to save his game.

Last night, on the Big Brother Live Feeds, seems to have been the self-aware launch of Devin’s downhill slide. Sure, we knew he was sinking his own ship, but he remained confident he had control and was making the right moves. Frankie remedied that situation for him.

Flashback to 12:43AM BBT last night as Frankie goes to Devin to let him know Zach isn’t going anywhere. Devin asks how that happened. Frankie says Zach just has the votes to stay and explains Cody and Hayden aren’t going to vote Zach out. “Hayden told me today [that he would]!” Devin exclaimed. Devin is simply blind to any dissent or disagreement. He doesn’t understand that maybe strong arming HGs to his will won’t always work.

Devin closes his eyes and lays back letting parts of reality, not all of it, wash over him. He grasps that he’s a one man alliance now with the rest of the house against him. Even Caleb’s support is gone. Devin says the entire house will have to stop his love for his daughter. Um, okay. But he’ll pick the house off one by one.

Jump forward to 12:55AM BBT for Devin going to Donny. Here he reveals the Bomb Squad alliance to a sleepy Donny. Devin explains something “really bad just happened” and that it’d threaten everyone’s game. Well, mostly just yours, Devin. Devin tells Donny that Pao is going home.

Devin asks if it’s okay to talk to Donny about it now. Donny asks if he can wait until tomorrow. Hah! Devin says of course, but then carries right on telling him anyway. He says there’s a 9-person alliance, no wait, 8-person alliance now, he explains. (Devin just excused himself from it there.) Devin says he “bowed out” after they tried to make it a 9-person. Great plan, Devin. Donny will surely save you after what you did to him… (no, not really).

Leap again to 1:15AM BBT to find Devin telling Brittany all about his Bomb Squad alliance. He explains everything to her including who is involved and how long ago it started. Devin says he only trusts Jocasta, Donny, and Frankie at this point, but gee, he’d really like to trust her too.

Devin again uses his story that he left the alliance on his own (not that it abandoned him) but this time it’s after the group decided to keep Zach despite his “anti-woman” behavior. Devin is trying to rally girl-power to get Brittany behind him.

Devin moves on to the next Houseguest who doesn’t know about the Bomb Squad when he pulls in Jocasta (2:09AM BBT). He tells her about the alliance and how the mean, cruel other members of it are the problem here, not him turning on said alliance.

Devin also explains how he pulled in Hayden after Zach told him about the alliance and worked Hayden over to join their side. I’m not sure how Devin’s continued activities in the alliance after it was exposed is supposed to help his position, but he’s using it that way.

In a strike against his former ally, Devin tells Jocasta and Brittany that if they get the power they need to put up Caleb and Amber against one another. He’s turning on everyone. Devin even specifically calls out Derrick, Christine, and Frankie as knowing how to play the game. He’s just thrashing out at everyone.

The only people who may still not know about the Bomb Squad alliance are Victoria and Paola, but it doesn’t really matter. It hasn’t really mattered since Devin called an 8-HG meeting the other night in front of everyone and made it completely obvious.

Preparing for the fallout, the guys are planning to say it was just a one-week deal that Devin has embellished to help himself out of a bad situation. We’ll have to keep watching today and see what happens next with these wild Houseguests! What do you think of Devin’s moves?

  1. Devin hit the self destruct button on the bomb squad… there goes his game. he`s gonna have to win EVERYTHING if he wants to stay.

    • winning won’t help you this year, weak player get nom’d, STRONG players will be backdoor’d. Next week, AFTER the veto, Devin will be nominated, then executed.

      • It IS going to be harder than ppl think. Everything will have to be lined up just right for him to go.

      • Remember how hard it was to get Jesse out? Most of the other HGs couldn’t stand him, but things just kept falling into place for him. I wanted Devn gone this week, but he managed to win HoH.

      • let’s just hope for the best and he’s out… soonish… I don’t like him but he does make a lot of crazy drama!

      • 4 strong players could be nominated and weak players don’t necessarily have to lose BOTB because we don’t know what kind of competition it will be.

      • They will nominate him and he will win the BofB or will win veto they should wait and backdoor him but I don’t think they will wait

      • Backdooring him is the best plan. But they need both HoHs to be on board with him going. From what I’ve seen, there doesn’t seem anyone who really wants him there, although keeping him there keeps the target off of you.

    • Devin can still win…if he stops being himself and has an out-of-body experience. He just needs to put a bigger target on someone else’s back, which is definitely possible. Fat chance this will happen, but possible. I mean, if Rachel can win…

  2. I listened to all his diatribes last night and I’m convinced his narcissism blocks his reasoning skills. “How dare anybody go against the word of Devin!” He seriously doesn’t get it and THAT will be his demise in this game. It’s almost sad. Almost.

  3. GREAT…

    Now I really like Devin.

Team up – Britanny, Victoria, Devin, Donny, Jocasta and PowPow and get ride of the rest…

By Bye Zack and Bomb Squad

    • That’s not enough votes to keep Pao this week. Donny also won’t be quick to trust/support Devin again. Even if they did have Donny, it wouldn’t be enough with 6 votes required to cause a tiebreaker by Devin.

      • As long as Caleb’s voting to keep Zach, Frankie will fall in line, too, now. Before I think he wanted to vote to evict Zach as a “strategy” (but not really). Since his king is ok with it, he may not burn the Devin bridge (this is Frankie, people) but he will put up an “out of order” sign.
Otherwise, Frankie might be a vote to keep Zach. Still 2 votes shy since Pow can’t vote. Brit mad or not, Derrick will go with the flow.

      • You never know what Frankie will do. He’s Andy Jr and lies to everyone. All he does is go from person to person and you really don’t know who he’s loyal to. I think he’s loyal to nobody. Hope he goes soon.

    • After devin’s meltdown, i could care less about him. He is an idiot, a bully, unloval, stupid, narcissistic, reckless, etc etc…. and he doesn’t have a clue about how to play the game without pissing everybody off… one of the worst contestants ever to play BB.

  4. Devin’s behavior is arrogant and selfish. My guess, his mama told him he was cuter, smarter and better than everyone else. He’s a poor sport, maybe that’s why he isn’t playing professional sports anymore.

  5. They should have kept it secret to Devin that Zack is safe. I would have loved to see his crazy reactions after the vote. Anyway, The two obsessed HG’s should be on the block together next week. Caleb/Devin

    • I was thinking the same thing..I wanted to see the look that Jeremy had last season when Nick was evicted be the same look that Devin has tomorrow night. Darn! Derrick has some major damage control to do with Britt. She was pissed.

      • Wouldn’t be too concerned. Who else does Brittany have: Jocasta and Victoria? And those two can be put up next week (in case Devin doesn’t go) and if he wins POV, they could B/D Brittany (unless she cools her jets). She may be miffed/distrustful but what choice does she have?
And they have their “it was a one week deal” cover story.
Oh and the “Devin’s cra cra” cover story.

      • Consider this: Brittany had told Bomb Squad members (Derrick/Cody) who she didn’t like/trust (Amber/Frankie – both also Bomb Squad members) AND made a deal with a BS member (Devin) and then lied to everyone saying no deal was made, that Dev just changed his mind about her.
I think Brittany is mad, in part, because she talked about BS members TO BS members and thinks they probably shared her thoughts with the people she talked about and she probably thinks big mouth Devin probably told them already about her deal with him and they knew it even though she lied to them. See what I mean? I think she’s embarassed because of what she’s said and done, on top of just being played by the BS like everyone else.

    • I thought the same thing when Caleb told Frankie to go tell Devin. And if they can get rid of Devin and Caleb I want Frankie to go. He’s Andy Jr all over.

      • That’s what i have been saying! Frankie needs to go. His diary room sessions are so annoying and he’s a lil rat like Andy. He needs to pick a side.

      • I think Frankie has picked a side. “Himself”. He’s going to be a big floater like The snake Andy. He will go to whoever has power.

      • I totally agree with you! Frankie is the definition of a floater. He sticks his finger to see which way the HG wind is blowing and goes wherever it goes. He was all for Zach going when he thought the majority of the HGs were going to vote that way, but when he saw the wind had turned, so did he.

      • Yep! Except he is less likable and isn’t as good at covering up his backstabbing! I think Andy did actually care, but played a good game for him. Not that I condoned it, because I hated watching it!

  6. I have reached the sad, yet true conclusion that in order for Devin to stay in the game (at least until jury), he must win EVERY competition he is eligible to play for.

      • IF and that’s a big IF the wait until after the veto to put him up. I really don’t think they will wait

  7. The thing that I am having trouble understanding is why did Derrick tell Caleb that he thinks Zach had the votes to stay? Why not just go along with the plan and make him think that Pao was staying? I kept saying to myself as I was watching..Derrick, why are you telling him that? Any help on this one?

    • I would agree but apparently, Derrick “misted” Caleb because I think he got Caleb to be cool with Zach staying, too, didn’t he? That was a bold move. I don’t think I would have attempted that. Gotta love it!

  8. All I know is whoever doesn’t have the feeds is missing the best part of the game. I hardly ever stay up all night to watch them. (Too old). Lol. But last night I couldn’t turn them off. And it’s still going on today. Worth every penny to have the feeds.

      • Lol. It’s pretty cheap I think. Less than 10.00 a month. Last year was the first time I got them and that’s because they took BBAD off Showtime. And I don’t have the TVG channel. I used to get Showtime just for the summer then cancel it and it cost way more then the feeds do. You should get them…you won’t be sorry.

      • Yes I think so. Ask Matt. If you order the feeds through his site he gets credit and helps him out and the price is the same. I ordered last year and this year through this site.

    • I am tempted to get the feeds, but I know I will regret the waste of time & lack of sleep later.
Back Away From Me You Devil!

      • Lol. I’m retired so I really don’t have to get up at any certain time but I still get up early to go to the gym. But last night I couldn’t turn them off so needless to say I was bad and missed the gym today. They are fun to watch.

      • I watched “After Dark” till 2am last night. Tonight, it’s going to be the DVR.

    • Love that Devin just ignored him and kept talking—so vain! Hope they show it tonight or tomorrow…can only imagine Donny’s reaction after his polite request got blatantly ignored.

  9. Maybe Devin’s best move is to convince the rest of the bomb squad that here is a good chance to take out a strong player that u’ll have to evict later down the road…n who won’t be on the jury. And the blood will be on Devin’s hands.

    • Agree instead of blowing up the alliance (pun intended) why not campaign for Zach to go.

  10. Wow it’s going to be a drama packed show tonight. Hope they show most of it. Probably save a lot for tomorrow since they usually pick up Thursday’s show from after the POV ceremony. And that’s when everything got blown up.

  11. devin is watching BB16 from inside the house up in his hole,,make him get out and..mingle??hehe…

  12. Is anyone else tired of hearing Amber always saying “yes/yeah” in that sweet little drawn out Southern Belle accent she has? She obviously has a crush on Cody.

    • I am not impressed by Amber. But, I do like watching Caleb’s adoration. He is so sweet.

  13. I really hope Devin doesn’t anywhere anytime soon. He needs to win BOTB or POV next week than continue that process with winning all the HOHs, POVS, and BOTB. Devin is crazy af, but he is soooooo entertaining.

    • I agree & disagree …. Yes, Devin is a whack-job, and I would love to she him get backdoored. But, he is like watching a train wreck, your just can’t look away. LOL

  14. Devin’s making a strong case towards being the worst player of all time. Watch out, Lawon.
