Big Brother Rumor: Amazing Race Takeover

Amazing Race and Big Brother

After seeing Big Brother Houseguests Cody and Jess go from the BB19 house to globetrotting on Amazing Race CBS has apparently taken the inspiration to consider expanding that adventure.

According to an interesting teaser from Missyae, we could be looking forward to a roster full of former Big Brother houseguests racing around the world in pursuit of the million dollar prize. You’ll remember Jess and Cody were able to pull off that very feat in their latest season. Could another batch of HGs do the same?

However, just the same as why we likely won’t see another Big Brother All-Stars anytime soon, it’s hard to get a great cast and this attempt could suffer the same fate. The rumor’s rumor has it that casting wouldn’t be able to pull together their dream list of former HGs so we could end up a little disappointed.

TMZ piled on the story but they could have easily been making up their own spin and just using the aforementioned reveal. Their version added that at least one former Big Brother winner would be joining the special TAR crossover season while “several other popular winners declined for family or career reasons.”

I’m surprised CBS doesn’t do more with its crossover potential and maybe they’re waking up to that now. Cody and Jess on TAR seems to have gone well, more so I’d guess than the draw of TAR’s Jeff & Jackie who crossed over to BB17. We’ve also seen Brendon and Rachel head over to TAR and BB12 winner Hayden Moss head over to Survivor, and I may have missed some others, but it’s been thin overall. Could this be the start of something new for CBS to try out?

Would you watch a season of The Amazing Race if it was filled with Big Brother Houseguests? Sub-question, if you’re already a TAR fan would this keep your interest, or if you weren’t a TAR fan would this draw you in? Share your thoughts!

We’ll watch out for names and potential cast lists, but in the meantime I’m getting excited for Big Brother 20 this summer! Casting is in progress now that auditions and applications have closed up. Next thing we need is a start date for BB20! Where is that news, CBS??
