The Power of Veto competition is coming up for the Big Brother 20 Houseguests today and both sides of the house are preparing their strategies for regaining control of the game.
Haleigh took over as HOH this week with her second straight word jumble comp win but the Hacker has challenged that authority. Kaycee was quick to reveal to allies Tyler and Angela of her victory that soon led to her escaping the Block and RS filling that void. Now Haleigh wants her side to win to free up a spot for her BD target, Tyler, but he’s got plans of his own.
Kaycee will get to secretly pick one player for the Veto comp and has already asked Tyler if that could be him. He’s agreed so watch for him to take one of the three spots. From there the trio of Kaycee, Angela, and Tyler aimed to secure the Veto for their side and leave the noms as they are. Yep, even Angela seems to be on board with staying on the Block if they get the Veto. So what’s going on there? It’s all about the numbers and Tyler’s power.
Tyler has only told Sam that he has the Cloud app, but if Angela gets that Veto or has the chance to come down then I’d expect him to tell her more. If noms stay the same then Tyler won’t have to use his power because Haleigh won’t have the chance to send him to the Block and he can keep it for another week. He’ll want that opportunity.
Say Angela stays on the Block against RS going into Thursday’s vote then L6 and allies will be able to control the vote yet again and Haleigh would likely see RS evicted under her HOH. Kaycee would cancel out Faysal’s vote leaving Brett, Tyler, Kaycee, and probably JC as the four votes to decide the eviction against however Sam and Scottie vote in case they don’t side with L6. Should Sam and Scottie vote against Angela then JC decides to flip against Tyler it would tie up and Haleigh would have the power to tiebreak against Angela. So there’s a definite danger to Angela agreeing to stay on the Block, but she already agreed to give up $5K to get the Veto and save Tyler, so she might be willing to make this move too.
As for Haleigh’s plans, I still think she’s ultimately going to try and BD Tyler given the chance. Should the Veto go to her, RS, or someone else on her side depending on the player draw today, then RS would come down and Tyler should ready his Cloud for safety. In the case of Tyler executing his Cloud power, she’ll probably put Kaycee back up or maybe even Brett. Ehh, probably Kaycee as an easy “I think you’re the Hacker and you messed with my plans” excuse.
For the draw, as previously mentioned, Kaycee is going to pick Tyler then if Angela gets her name drawn for a HG Choice she’ll go with Brett. On the other side, RS or Haleigh would most likely pick Faysal since he’s a strong player. Whoever gets picked today is lucky though because according to leaker Vegas this is going to be the OTEV comp. Hooray! Those are always entertaining and it’ll be interesting to see what iteration OTEV takes this time.
