Big Brother 20 Spoilers: Week 1 Power App & ‘Crapp’

Julie Chen and Big Brother App twist

Big Brother 20’s first big twist of the season features an overhaul of the “Den of Temptation” with the new “BB App” featuring both a “power app” and a “crapp.” You don’t want the “crapp.”

Now with the Live Feeds up and running (hooray!) we’ve got our first spoilers on what’s happening with the new twist but not everything has been revealed just yet. Here’s what we know so far.

CBS offered up a way to interact with their messenger bot for the Big Brother 20 twist that let viewers answer questions about various HGs. The questions themselves were irrelevant and the part that mattered was who got the most mentions in the answers. A simple poll would have worked the same way, but okay.

This week’s twist “voting” ended on Thursday morning and the results were soon revealed to the HGs, but we have yet to see just how that happens. What we do know is that Faysal came up with the short straw this round. He has received the “crapp” with a “Hamazon delivery” and that is not a good thing.

Week 1 ‘Crapp’ HG:

  • Faysal Shafaat received “Hamazon Delivery” app

Big Brother occasionally makes an announcement that there’s a new delivery in the Storage room and Faysal has to shuffle off to retrieve it and then eat the meal. It was intended to be ham which isn’t particularly compatible with Faysal’s religion, so Big Brother has swapped that out for vegan ham. Again, not a good thing.

Last night just after 2AM BBT Faysal was even getting sick from having to eat so much of the sliced “meat” deliveries. I’d hope production would slow things down or maybe come up with something else for him to eat in the next boxes.

So who won the coveted power app? We don’t know yet! There’s been a lot of speculation with JC pushing hard that Brett has it while no one has been spotted suggesting that they’re the lucky ones.

Week 1 ‘Power App’ HG:

  • Sam Bledsoe received safety that she can use on anyone in next 4 weeks

Update 3: Sam told Tyler she won the power and will be safe, but doesn’t give him all the details so he doesn’t have to lie to cover for her.

Update 2: VegasForSure is back and reporting that yes, it was Sam who got it and her power lets her save herself once in the next 4 weeks.

Update: Sam just had an interesting talk with Tyler and said she’ll be staying this week, no matter what. Well that’s certainly suggestive of a special power, right??

Now we’re left waiting to find out which HG has won that prize, what they received, and just how it might work. One way or the other we’ll get the official confirmation during Sunday’s episode of Big Brother 20, but I’m guessing we’ll get some clues or a slip of the tongue before long on the Feeds.

Keep in mind that both of this week’s app recipients will no longer be eligible for receiving another app in the coming rounds. Yes, that even means Faysal can’t win a power app at this point, from the way I’m reading these details from CBS.

What do you think of this twist with the apps? Good stuff or too much? Hard to tell right now but we’ll soon see them in action and find out what happens next.
