Big Brother 20: Nomination Anticipation In Week 4

Sam talks down Angie on Big Brother 20

We’ve got a new Head of Household on Big Brother 20 (get those spoiler results here if you missed the comp) which puts us on track for nominations later today. When those are in we’ll have your spoilers, but for now, we can discuss what to expect.

Looming on the horizon is Sam’s expired, but about to activate, Bonus Life power app. She knows it’s out there and what’s about to happen which makes her fighting so hard to win HOH a little peculiar. Then again, knowing you’re completely safe and not risking a “chance” at coming back is always smarter than the potential to go. So with that in mind, Sam will have to carefully make her noms pick.

The house divisions are still holding steady with what’s left of Level Six (now L5) plus Sam and JC going against the utterly confused and wandering FOUTTE group. The latter has been on the blindsided end of all three evictions so far. It’s kinda sad, but entirely entertaining for us each Thursday no matter who gets blindsided! With such simple lines across the house, it’s not hard to guess where this is going.

Sam will have to pick two noms knowing that either one if they stay on the Block come Thursday, will have the chance to return. Will she make that announcement of “this whole week is kind of a bust”? I figured she would, but others pointed out that DR would likely strongly oppose that and I imagine they’re right.

Last night after the HOH room was opened up Sam announced that she wouldn’t be doing the one-on-one meetings and she already had made up her mind. She mentioned she’d just let them know in advance, but Sam was reminded that was against the rules. So with no decisions left to weigh and no talks planned we might not know for sure who is going up until it happens, but I think we can narrow it down.

My top picks for Sam’s noms would be Kaitlyn, Haleigh, or Angie (see update below). After last night’s pots and pans routine, I’m ready to move Angie up that list to more likely than Haleigh, but any combination of those three wouldn’t surprise me in the least. If one comes down, the third could go up.

If you missed what happened with Angie, it goes back to Brett’s eviction speech where he claimed Angie offered to flip her vote. Angie was furious during the show and that didn’t subside in the hours that followed. Finally, just before 2 AM Sam went to Angie and asked her to stop beating the pans until at least the morning. If the HOH has to come and talk to you about your behavior, that’s probably not good for your odds heading into the nominations. Of course, this would mean Angie would be nominated on her daughter’s birthday (despite her earlier claims, yesterday was not Angie’s daughter’s birthday) and that could spark more emotions.

Update: Sam just told Angie that she would be safe this week so let’s scratch her off the list. Is Sam going in a totally different direction from what we might expect??

So there we go. Sam’s got to pick her noms knowing that either could be right back in the game on Thursday night. I’m expecting two ladies from the other side, but unless we get more conversations to provide some insight we may all get a surprise come tonight. What do you think she’ll do?
